  ### 7. Don't Do This To Yourself.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave H. | Doer of Things, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

The most basic tier of bluehost is okay, because you can host unlimited sites if you can tolerate 6-7 load times.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Everything else about bluehost is really terrible.
Customer support is frustrating and being passed around for hour after hour.
Their WP Pro package was a $400 mistake, now I'm hosted with SiteGround which actually works.
They got me to hang on until the month guarantee expired, and then never fixed my problems:
Backups don't work. Period. There is no value to the backup package that comes with Pro.
Cloudfront could not be configured with SSL; in fact Cloudfront could not be configured at all.
Whenever there is any change to make at all, they blame *everything* on a 72-hour DNS change when every mature web hosting company in the world can tell you how to stage your DNS change with minimal outage. They just don't *want* to. I finally got *one* rep (out of literally 20) to change a DNS TTL for me to 1 hour (instead of the default 6 hours), so I *know* they can do it.
Then, to top it all, whenever your site is unavailable due to DNS, there is a Bluehost error message displayed that makes you look like you didn't pay your Bluehost bill.
This service is not something you would ever provide to a customer; you will look terrible and you'll *still* end up paying for some other service.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For a while, it looked like Bluehost could be used to host a low-latency Wordpress installation. But that turned out not to be true. I have wasted hundreds and hundreds of hours with this terrible, terrible company.

  ### 8. Love This Web Host!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shulaya T. | Financial Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

The best thing about Bluehost to me is the many capabilities to connect it with Wordpress to make your website even better. Bluehost is also very helpful with getting the site up and running step by step.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The only thing that I dislike about Bluehost is the multiple ways to upgrade your sites software that isn't always the most user friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Some recommendations to others considering Bluehost would be to take your time as you become familiar with the software.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BLuehost solves the issue of finding a reliable website host that will also maintenance your site for you as well. The benefits that I have realized from this would be the ability for my site to run its own maintenance and security protocols even when I can not be logged in.

  ### 9. I've used Bluehost for a bit, and I've used it for my friends and clients as well.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren T. | Technical/Design Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I like bluehost for its easy to use dashboard and portal. In addition, it is fairly cheap and easy to budget with compared to other services like Hostgator.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

When starting a new account or domain, it takes a while to get started.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using Bluehost for my own website and webcomic, as well as using it as a service for my clients and their websites.

  ### 10. Hassle free Hosting with excellent tech support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erica G. | VP of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I am so very pleased with Bluehost's tech support. I just recently got more involved in the website process of how it all works in the "back end". I had no idea of the components, where they were, what they were and most of all how to trouble shoot issues that we were having. I was able to get a friendly, kind, courteous tech support rep who took the time out to help me and answer all my questions in a way that I could really understand. Then the support rep recommended Blue Sky which is an additional support service where a tech support takes me step by step in figuring out the solutions to my website problems, by going on my screen and showing me directly how to correct the issue. I am so very happy with this that it makes it easier for me and I am now more efficient when I am working on our website.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I have no dislikes using Bluehost Webpress Hosting. All my interactions with them have been positive. Such an easy and efficient means of hosting our website.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Bluehost Wordpress, I know that our website is a priority to them. They must work with many, many companies and I feel that that give me that individualized support that is needed. I am spending less time on figuring things out and more time in the solutions. I also know when I call them, there is no delay, I am never placed on hold and they always resolve my issues or answer my questions.

  ### 11. Solid Webhost

It has decent rates for hosting my Large website

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

It goes down abouut once a month which is far too much

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a webhost with good customer service,

  ### 12. Never park your domains at Bluehost!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Guess their uptime? Even not sure about that.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

How Bluehost is squeezing you everywhere they can. They are raising prices on parked domains all the time.
I have a bunch of parked domains that I don't want to renew and they don't have an easy way to mark them to not renew. They deliberately made it so you have to go into every single one of them and switch. Not surprisingly to early renew it is only a drop-down menu item. :-(

When you go back from that domain, you end up on top of the list again and scrolling is so slow, that I am using this time to write this review. Really frustrating.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting my company/personal business URL there.

  ### 13. Bluehost the GOAT

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

The extensive WordPress plugins are great.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

EIG is not a great parent company and worries me for the future of bluehost.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easier to integrate WordPress features on our site.

  ### 14. Blushost is fast and reliable hosting providor

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shahid H. | Data Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost is fast, reliable and secure. I am using Bluehost for 5 years now. My website www.techsandooq.com is hosted on Bluehost and I am happy with my decision.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Sometime the technical staff is not that technical. Sometime chat ends and we have to explain everything to new agent. This should be changed. I have noticed a change and I think it is implemented but can be improved.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using it for domain and hosting, SSL and backups.

  ### 15. Terrible Support and Slow Website

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Veterinary | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

At this point, not much. We are transferring our domains away from BlueHost to a provider that has great customer support.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The customer support is awful. During a recent outage, I was told by two reps that my issue was being taken care of and my site would be rebuilt within 1-2 hours. A few hours later, my site was still down so when I called a 3rd time it was only then was I told they couldn't fix my site because the files were deleted. They only sent one warning email that they would delete my site within 30 days, which was sent amongst a bunch of other renewal notices. For something as important as a website, you would hope they would send multiple warnings before deletion.

Because of the hosting lapse and the files being deleted, I was going to need to rebuild the site from my WordPress backup (which was well beyond my technical understanding.) Instead of being helped, I was continuously sent a link to a tutorial instead of being walked through it by the rep. I asked at least 5 times if there was someone that could download the files from the link I provided since it was beyond my abilities, even after reviewing the tutorial, and was ignored and sent a link to another tutorial.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Find someone with better customer service and support.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not. It's caused me problems, including deleting my entire website with only one notification email, which was missed by an employee.

**Official Response from Machielle Thomas:**

> Hello,

I am extremely sorry to hear about this frustrating experience that you have had with our services. I would love to escalate your concerns further and see what occurred here and how we can improve our processes in the future. Could you please send us an email at socialsupport@bluehost.com with your domain on the account and reference this review?

Thank you!
Julie

  ### 16. Best Choice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheena C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I like the fast response from chat and by being a new website owner I was completely confused about what I should do first and what should happen next but Bluehost has step by step guide on how to get your website up and functioning. The layout also makes it easy to use and navigate. I also was happy to be able to purchase my business email account through Bluehost.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I haven't experienced any dislikes while using Bluehost.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Great for first time website owners because it's easy to use, customer support is helpful, step by step guide on what should be done next on your website and it can be integrated with Wordpress.com which is so compatible together.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I realized it's best to do the recommended steps first because it keeps you on track with the things your website need. I also like how I can purchase add-ons and have multiple sites all easily accessible through Bluehost.

  ### 17. Mixed Experience

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oscar T. | Head of Coaching Faculty, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Site reliability over 7 years has been very consistent

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Technical or proactive support is poor. I have asked a few basic questions and the response isn't about what I ask, rather the boundaries in which their support operates

Many clients around the world have complained about the site performance

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was originally recommended to them as a solid global provider, yet I sense this was true 7 years ago, they haven't kept up

  ### 18. Great beginner and intermediate website hosting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin U. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I like that Bluehost integrates seamlessly with WordPress to provide a smooth user experience. I have had no issues with getting things completed that I need to with my website, as long as I'm willing to put in the time to learn how to do it. I manage my website myself.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

There's not anything I can pinpoint that I dislike right now about Bluehost. It seems to be exactly what I was looking for, and I have yet to harness its full power.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Consider your long-term goals for your website and online business when choosing a hosting service.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost + Wordpress is what I use for my two freelancing websites, housing my blog and writing portfolio. It's helped me market my services more effectively, and serves that I'm a professional who's serious about my work.

  ### 19. Bluehost: An excellent Place to begin Your online Business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Md. Abdulla Al A. | Md., Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I like that Bluehost has a terribly low period of time and a few of the quicker hosting speeds I've full-fledged among major net hosting suppliers. Bluehost offers a large number of net merchandise that permit you to consolidate all of your net assets in one place. Their normal email accounts that associate with the fundamental hosting packages typically work ok.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

There will be some speeds and property problems once it involves operating CMS platforms like WordPress and Joomla. although Bluehost's client support is nice overall, they will typically not be useful once it involves resolution-specific queries concerning our CMS setup. In those cases, they typically refer to the United States to third-party resources.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Bluehost is nice for entrepreneurs, little startups, and anyone needing to start blogging or business on-line. it should not be the most effective resolution for big firms or enterprises, or developers United Nations agency area unit wanting a lot of flexibility.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We develop websites and custom digital selling methods for businesses of all shapes and sizes. we've used Bluehost within the past once a consumer was searching for a price priced hosting arrange. For the value, it's an honest hosting arrange, however, we've recently created a transition to a better battery-powered, dearer platform.

  ### 20. One of the best Hosting Provider for Shared Hosting

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul K. | Tech Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost gives the best uptime in the market which is around 99.99 % throughout the year. Also, it has a great load speed which is 406 ms. The introductory pricing of bluehost is quite low and begins from only $2.75 per month. There are a lot of options regarding the security as well. You can also find a number of integrations, e-commerce features, and ready to start apps like Wordpress, Django etc. It is also one of the most recommended, official host of WordPress and many famous web apps.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

One thing I dislike about this software is that they have very high renewal rates. The site migrations that are offered are not for free as well. One of the issue that I feel is, it's control panel shows ads very often.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

I would recommend that Bluehost is very simple to setup and use by beginners and has a lot of features which makes it easy to be learned by them as well. If you have to host a WordPress or any famous web app, then this bluehost will be the best of its kind as well.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me a lot with the great load speed it offers. Also, they have excellent customer support and if you have been facing any kind of problems, they can be solved really easily as well.

  ### 21. Price and Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Md A. | Internet Marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I switched from another host owing to frequent outages & poor client service. Bluehost has been an excellent selection. it had been simple to transfer my web site with terribly obtainable client support. The dashboard is straightforward to know & navigate. the {value} may be a sensible value. they're a wonderful selection for WordPress hosting. I even have knowledgeable just about no outages since moving to Bluehost. Also, speed & server response times were a lot of improved. I'm glad I found them.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

UptimeRobot indicated my website went down sixfold in a very few hours.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've had my weblog and store for years however recognize little concerning the technical aspect of a way to set it all up so on, however I used to be in ought to modification internet hosts(ugh that previous host still offers Pine Tree State anxiety) and a handful of friends counseled Bluehost. thus I signed up and was thus shocked concerning the convenience of use. virtually everything is completed for you mechanically and also the things that you just ought to modification have tutorials or support helped Pine Tree State move into no time in the least. I even have been with them for 2 months currently and could not be happier!

  ### 22. It's good, but you need technical know-how to master

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

You can accomplish a lot if your company or business has a lot of needs. And I mean, a LOT of needs. There is literally an option for everything and I know they're always trying to improve on their service- inclusiveness. It's great. I appreciate being able to access my webmail easily.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

You can't do a single damn thing on here without clicking a hundred times through the options, everything is placed in a category and the organization is confusing. You could accidentally break your business site by opening the wrong thing. Drives me nuts.

Also, logging in without doing it through webmail is tedious. The URL to login isn't something you can memorize, which isn't cool. The settings for admin of the mailbox is few, and a lot of it can't be automated.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Do if you have the time to sit there and click on everything. Otherwise, I'd avoid.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Client and I use it to admin wordpress and other things to their business site. It gets the job done, and the domain pricing isn't too shabby, but it's definitely hard on the eyes and not something you can just "hop in" and do.

  ### 23. Terrible experience with their shared hosting

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I had almost two years of not having issues with Bluehost. Its kind of a bare bones service. Its cheap, thats for sure.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

They forced an upgrade on my site without letting me know, which caused my website to go down. They never admitted to this, until after maybe 10 chats with their overseas customer support. I ended up having to spend $ to move to Dreamhost. All told, I probably spent 12 hours with their customer service. It was impossible to speak to managers or to escalate issues. If you want the feeling of being powerless with an issue, their shared service is for you.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Pay for a service where you have better access to customer support. Their support wasn't an issue with me until we had to use them. Once we had to use them, that was when we were burned.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed an affordable service while I was starting a company.

  ### 24. Simple Hosting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katelyn R. | CEO Blogger, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I chose Bluehost because their services integrate with Wordpress.org, and I was able to easily host my site with them. Their sign-up process is fairly quick and setup does not take previous knowledge in website hosting. If I did not know the answer to a question, I was able to quickly search the question and answer forums and find the answer. This made for a customer-friendly atmosphere that made me comfortable setting up my first website.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I quite honestly do not have any dislikes about Bluehost. Website hosting is pretty straight-forward, and Bluehost has a great product.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Definitely go for it! I cannot recommend their services enough. The ease of use cannot be beaten.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like I mentioned, I am able to host my site with Bluehost and integrate it with Wordpress.org. Their prices are competitive (and actually cheaper in my case) with other companies in the industry. I pay a one-time fee annually to keep my service running, and even that is affordable. So the overall benefits are simplicity and affordability.

  ### 25. A faster hosting platform for Wordpress installations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt C. | Digital Content Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost Wordpress Hosting keeps it simple when it comes to hosting and managing our Wordpress websites. We get far greater metrics that are connected to the performance of our Wordpress websites. We have an optimized hosting environment that not only loads pages more quickly than standard hosting accounts, but we can perform updates without having to jump through as many hoops.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Bluehost Wordpress Hosting isn't as flexible of a hosting environment as a standard hosting plan. Though it can be faster for Wordpress websites, it doesn't have compatibility with many other website structures and content management systems that we also use.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Slow page loads can be a major deterrent for website visitors and sales conversions, so a simple migration to Bluehost Wordpress Hosting or similar WP hosting plan can greatly improve your Wordpress website performance and possibly related sales efforts.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost Wordpress Hosting has been a quick and easy way for us to achieve faster loading times without having to compress too many images or perform other core website adjustments. We can focus more on designing and developing for looks and functionality rather than optimizing code, photos and video to be as small as possible for faster page loads. The management of our WordPress account is more smooth through the control panel since it's design specifically for Wordpress.

  ### 26. The most incompetent Web Hosting provider available

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

The only plus to this company is it has the highest uptime available. That alone is not enough for really anyone except server-based companies.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Terrible communication - their domains team is "email only" but they don't know how to reply to emails, send updates, or solve simple issues in general.

Call companies - They use random customer service companies that don't know how to solve any issues and are basically there only to tell the customers something is happening, even though nothing is.

Faulty backend - Their backend is so full of bugs you would think a high schooler designed it for a project during his lunches.

Absolutely abysmal customer service - They are so overwhelmed because of so many issues that you will be 1 of 1000 people constantly in the queue looking for help. Good luck getting any specialized support on that except for a guy on the phone to tell you that there's too many people to help.

I waited 5 days for an update on the hosting transfer, then after 1244 redirects to different departments, they told me to initiate the transfer. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE ALREADY.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Run.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost cannot solve a single problem that other companies aren't already solving. They have uptime over the competition but I don't even believe that anymore.

  ### 27. Reliable, fast hosting at a good price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim L. | PHP Web Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

You get fast, reliable hosting without the higher costs of services like SSL (secure hosting with https). SSL is included in the hosting at no additional cost.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

This is a very minor downside. Bluehost will occasionally ask you to use their Wordpress features. I just ignore them. You do NOT need to make a Wordpress site in order to use Bluehost.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Give Bluehost a genuine try. Their hosting is fast, reliable, and easy to use. You will get SSL included with your hosting price.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving, mainly, the high costs that I was experiencing with my previous hosting services, to get an SSL (https) certificate. There is no additional cost with Bluehost for SSL.

  ### 28. fastest hosting i've used

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris B. | Fitness Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost has incredibly fast hosting. Once, I created a weight loss quiz and the page was loading in around 1.20 seconds on average. I love how Bluehost automatically integrates wordpress into websites becuase to there, all i have to do is login to Bluehost and press "log into wordpress" then, BAM i'm there! I have also used their support several times with fast responses on live chat and they always fix my issues.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I wish Bluehost gave you more than 1 free business email. It is really annoying to have to play for dozens of business emails.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to host my website and integrate it with wordpress.

  ### 29. Good webhosting, less good webmail

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gianluca T. | Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Implementation with WordPress, really easy to use.
The support is very good

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Webmail is not so user friendly and doesn't have so much space.
In the past it use to have some problem, but now seem fixed

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Good if you're looking for a WordPress hosting
If you need mail with a lot of space and an easy webmail choose something else

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting wordpress site, domain webmail

  ### 30. Great website hosting and fast speed!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean M. | Founder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I like how bluehost has great speed. I have had 2 websites on bluehost in the past, 3 on wpxhosting and 2 on godaddy. For it's price, bluehost had the best speed, functionality, and was the easiest to use. They also have great support.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I dislike how bluehost makes you commit to an annual plan or a 3 year plan to get good rates. I do see how it makes sense for their business though.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

It is affordable and can load a website fast. I recommend it.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost has allowed me to create websites for a marketing brand of mine in the past, and for an affiliate website called buildanamazinglife.org that I used to use with clickbank for affiliate marketing. I have found the biggest benefit to be how fast it is at a good price.

  ### 31. Great Customer Service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc A. | Account Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I've built several websites through Bluehost. They offer great customer service - which was especially helpful when I was just getting started.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The related email account was a little difficult to set up.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

If you're a beginner, read through the forums.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If there is a glitch with an imported template/software, they'll help you solve it even though they're not responsible for the problem.

  ### 32. Best hosting available

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Whitney B. | Business Owner, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost is easy to use and much more affordable than other hosting platforms. I also love that if I ever have trouble with something the customer service is available on an instant chat and have always been able to help me get my problem resolved.
I like that the SSL is included in the hosting and you don't have to worry about setting that up separately.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The only thing that I had an issue with was when you very first set up your site it sets up a temporary domain, which is nice so that you can start building right away, but when your site is moved over to the permanent domain the pictures don't transfer over. I have broken image links on the front page of my website for a while before someone else pointed it out. Granted, I should have checked it more often but that was frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Follow the prompts and you seriously will have a website set up in no time. If you do get stuck or have questions use the chat function for support and someone will help you out right away.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have asked several of my clients to move over to Bluehost because of the ease of use and the SSL being included. It is really frustrating to work with some other providers support teams and I have always had a great experience with Bluehost's team. I am NOT a web developer so it is nice to be able to get questions answered and issues resolved.

  ### 33. Straightforward, and full of features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ella N. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Ease of the dashboard. cpanel has everything you need to get to on one page

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I'd like for the cpan to highlight what features are currently in use, vs those not purchased/utilized. It will make for an easier onboarding and training for support staff.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outsourcing hosting.

  ### 34. Excellent hosting services with Bluehost

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost has 24/7 support online and the techs have always been helpful and knowledgeable. As a client for more than five years, there have been only a few times support was required. But it always ended in a resolution of the problem. Bluehost also has excellent up-time. I am aware of only one brief outage.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The only difficulty I have personally experienced with Bluehost is phone support which typically has had extremely long wait times.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Don't expect Bluehost to build your site. But if you know what you want and have the tecnical ability, Bluehost will be able to provide the hosting solution you need.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My business is online only and Bluehost provides a secure environment for both data and programs proprietary to the business at a very reasonable price. Their virtual server has provided everything needed.

  ### 35. competitive prices

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rita K. | travel industry, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

customer service has quick response and happy to help. also wide plan availability with affordable prices. existing customers can change/upgrade plans easily and are offered good deals towards upgrading.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I personally found their email system to be very poor and basic. It changed recently but I'm still not happy with a current version as it's lacking previous features (such as templates and drafts). I also find it hard to reply with existing templates. Definitely needs to be improved considering how big of a hosting provider it is. I believe most people choose different email provider because of blue hosts poor quality emailing system.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

choose a longer duration as it makes more sense financially, as you can get an introductory price for all 2 or 3 years.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

very competitive package prices and customer service is always able to adapt products according to your needs.

  ### 36. Decent hosting. Better then some, worse than some.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frances P. | Virtual Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

In terms of speed, bluehost is decent. It's slower than some competitors; however, those competitors are much more expensive. I love the pricing. Bluehost is very cheap when it comes to value vs price. I also find it awesome how Bluehost gives you a free domain with your plan.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I've had several times where our company website crashes and I take the blame. Bluehost's support is very good in fixing this; however, it shouldn't happen in the first place.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hosting a website and domain on the internet at a cheap price.

  ### 37. Bluehost makes hosting WordPress easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darin S. | General Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Beyond boarding process for setting up a WordPress website was very easy. transferring a domain name to bluehost name servers with straightforward and setting up an email address was equally easy.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

There are some upsels to WordPress plugins that could be a bit annoying but very easy to disable as well.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I did not want to deal with the complexity of setting up a web server and WordPress so something like blue post that takes care of all of that for you is very convenient.

  ### 38. Super affordable!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I really liked how simple and easy it was to set up my new WordPress site with Bluehost. There are no complicated steps, and as soon I decided which domain I wanted I was able to start the process of building the website (even though it took about 24 hours for the domain to be active with WordPress).

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I haven't had any issues with BlueHost up to now. For one of my websites, I decided to move my domain to BlueHost since I was already hosting with them; the process was smooth, and I had no problems.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

I would recommend getting the packages for 2 or 3 years. The hosting is already extremely affordable, but when you commit to the more extended duration packages, it's definitely a steal.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to be able to design and host simple websites that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg, and that's what Bluehost WordPress hosting has been able to offer me. A simple and affordable approach to building and hosting websites with no complications involved.

  ### 39. Dependable, easy hosting for a reasonable price.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad J. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I've never had any issues with Bluehost. They are fantastic with regular contact when expecting outages. Everything else has been very stable and reliable.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

There is really not much that I dislike. A few times in the past, I have had to call them to reset my password, as the system doesn't allow the user to do it online.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My website is stable, secure, and rarely offline. That's the best I can ask for.

  ### 40. My Choice in Webhosting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Photography | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I chose Bluehost because of their competitive price and the good feeling I got about their company. If you want to design your own website, it’s an excellent option. After a bad experience with another hosting company, working with Bluehost has been top-notch. Their customer service is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The user interface is complex, probably no problem for a web designer but complicated if you don’t know what you’re doing. The price also can get more expensive after your “first year” price so that’s understandable but a bit of a downside.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost has been successfully hosting several different sites that I manage over several years. They also helped me transfer a site from another hosting company that wasn’t working well.

  ### 41. Why Bluehost leads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** El U. | Freelance Writer, Computer Networking, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Uninterrupted website hosting, Good bandwidth and affordable domains

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

Bluehost host is the best choice for reliable website management with excellent customer support

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

For reliable and most secured websites hosting I recommend Bluehost .

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domain Registration and website hosting

  ### 42. Good Value

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivia C. | Product Marketing Copywriter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost is just the easiest, most affordable wordpress hosting out there. I've used it with a number of clients and always find it easy to set up. It doesn't come with bells and whistles, but if you're using Wordpress, you probably don't want that anyway. It does its job simply and well.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The only issue I've had with bluehost is occasional system crashes. However, I have to say that I've always been able to resolve these within 24 hours by working with their service team.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

There are so many good hosting services out there, but bluehost has been in the game for a long time and offers good value and good service at a low price. It's so easy to integrate that for me, it's a no-brainer to use it when setting up a new site. Other like hostgator offer similar services at a higher price, but so long as your needs are simple, bluehost is the way to go.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's super affordable (less than $5 per month), so it's a great choice for new businesses or freelancers to set up their sites at minimal costs. Use a free wordpress theme and you have a website for roughly $50 a year---it's a great deal.

  ### 43. Great Hosting For Cheap

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

It is very easy to run WordPress, and I've had no downtime to-date. I really like all of the different options that are available out of the box. Also, there are many free trials of products that I didn't even know existed so that was very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The main dashboard is a little difficult to get used to, but I chalk that up to just having to learn their system. It is a little cumbersome at first, but really once you get a little time under your belt that system isn't hard to navigate.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

You really can't go wrong with BlueHost.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been able to have a website up and running fairly quickly with no downtime. When I've had to use customer-support they were always easy to get in touch with. Also the FAQ was very in-depth, and I was able to learn through self-guided study how to make some different things work that i didn't know was possible.

  ### 44. quite dodgy

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Photography | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

The customer service is very good and always has been from the start, Bluehost has this down very well

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

There are things hidden in wording which you want to look out for.

I received an email for a domain transfer to bluehost at a price. This email it is worded like this is the fee to register your domain with us.

Thats not the case as the transfer fee is seperate, which if you are with a provider already you will save money by not transferring. If you're not with someone then it is a different story.

I fell for this, and have gone back to my other provider, along with the point below for this reason..

When you register your domain with bluehost, you are told that there is a 1 year extension on renewal. For most people this would be thought of, as you get 2 years and pay for just the 1. Nope. You pay each year.

The 1 year extension means very little, and is worded that way to make you think you're saving money.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Bluehost sounds like a bargain, but there are hidden fees. Know all before you decide.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are helpful with one of my websites

  ### 45. Bluehost is everything I didn't know I needed

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trenton-Paul Tramel H. | Managing Editor, Newspapers, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost offered free domain registration, free SSL certification, and one-click WP installation - all promises it delivered on that were also easy for me to navigate. I wasn't a pro at WP or hosting software when I first tried Bluehost, but they made it so easy that I felt like one.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

There's not much I dislike about Bluehost. Customer service is one area that can be improved. It's hard to get any one-on-one attention sometimes, but when you finally reach a representative they're very helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Bluehost offers a lot of great services. I recommend trying it and comparing it to the service you're currently using. You'll see the difference.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to focus on my blog/business without worrying about any hosting issues. Bluehost is on top of all that, which brings me a lot of peace of mind.

  ### 46. Moving all my sites to BH because of great pricing & super easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

One of the cheapest hosting providers out there. Basic SSL is included with their packages. Interface is so easy to use. Unlike other companies, where you have to dig to find what you need, everything is easy to find. Has everything I need for Wordpress sites.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I've only been using BH for a few months. Everything has worked perfectly. No downtime on sites. Only slight con is to get the best pricing on hosting you have to purchase at least 3 years up front.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed to get SSL for all my client sites since Chrome/Google mark sites as insecure now without it. They are not ecommerce sites, so nothing fancy was needed. BH is saving me tons compared to the previous hosting company I was using. I was expecting it to be so easy to use, and so they've also saved me time as well.

  ### 47. Great hosting site

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naasirah M. | Ceo, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Good cost for hosting and includes Wordpress. Also gives users ways to make money from using the site.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

The advertising of $3.95 a month, but doesn’t say you have to pay 3 years worth for the deal.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Starting a website and it costs me less than what I used before l

  ### 48. Had the cheapest website hosting until they closed their doors

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael J. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

I love companies that specialize in one product - and they do it well. I know iXWebHosting has been around for about 20 years. Their expertise shows in their years of experience. Their prices were quite cheap, they had the type of service I needed, and setup was quick and painless.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

I had a few times where my websites went down without any notice and it took me about an hour to get them back up. They discontinued their service and I was left scrambling to sign up with other companies to retrieve access to my websites!

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

This service doesn't exist anymore. They closed their doors.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I own quite a few websites and I was in need of a cheap website hosting service to display them. I needed a reliable service and at the time, this was a suggested company from a colleague of mine to use.

  ### 49. Customer Service Extraordinaire

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pascale L. | Web Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Whenever I need help, I'm on the phone within 5 minutes with someone helping me walk through a tech issue.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

There are so many features in Bluehost. To some, it's advanced and complicated. To others, it's nice to have so many options. It's isn't always easy to find what you're looking for after you log in.

**Recommendations to others considering Bluehost:**

Bluehost is for an experienced person, rather than a beginner.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bluehost has been reliable for us for many years. We pay for the year and save a considerable amount this way. After a while, I began to learn their many other services and used them included in my current rate! (SSL, backup)

  ### 50. Bluehost is better than most

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Policy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Bluehost?**

Bluehost has an icon-based, user-friendly control panel, which is busy but is logically organized to make it relatively easy to find what your are looking for. Their help articles are well written, and online chat customer support is friendly with occasional wait times.

**What do you dislike about Bluehost?**

They have eliminated their support ticket system, so you know have to use the chat feature. Some help articles could also cover more situations. A recently wanted to change my php version, and the help article didn't address how to do that on a shared hosting account. I contacted support through their chat system, had to wait over 5 min. while they connected me to another person, who changed the php version for me, and told me (unlike the Help article) that I could not do this myself through the control panel, but needed them to do it for me. They were polite and efficient - other than the wait to connect.

**What problems is Bluehost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offering previous web development customers an easy-to-use web hosting experience they can mostly manage on their own when I no longer administer their websites.
