“Studio-quality remote recording that keeps our crew connected across the US”
What do you like best about Riverside?

The local recording with separate audio and video tracks is an absolute game-changer. It means internet drops or lag never ruin a take, and having pristine, isolated tracks ready to go makes the post-production editing process for The Rooted Crew Podcast incredibly smooth. It gives us studio-grade quality every single time, no matter where our guests are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

The browser-based setup can be pretty heavy on system resources, which occasionally causes high CPU usage or fan noise on older laptops when running a long session. There are also moments where massive local files take a while to fully upload and process after a recording wraps, causing a bit of a bottleneck when we're ready to jump straight into editing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Riverside solving and how is that benefiting you?

Riverside completely solves the logistical headache of trying to record a high-quality show with friends and guests scattered all across the country. Before, trying to collaborate across the US meant risking pixelated video, audio lag, and dropped connections ruining the natural flow of the conversation.

With Riverside, the physical distance doesn't matter anymore. Because it records everyone locally on their own devices, internet stability issues vanish. We can catch up, joke around, and record with friends anywhere in the US, and the final product sounds like we're all sitting in the exact same studio. It has completely removed the technical barriers to keeping The Rooted Crew Podcast connected, saving us a ton of frustration and hours of tedious cleanup in post-production. “Effortless Video Creation, Impressive Avatars”
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I love how HeyGen allows me to create quick explainer and social media videos without the need to be on camera. The platform is incredibly easy to use, letting me go from a script to a finished video in minutes. It saves me a lot of time since I can't be on camera all the time, and recording can take too long. The avatar quality is amazing, especially with the newer Avatar IV technology, which looks much more natural. I also appreciate all the new features that make video marketing feel like creating a movie. It's a powerful tool for producing professional-looking videos quickly and simply, without being as expensive as others. The multiple language feature is fantastic because I don't need to know a language to create a video in it. The script-to-video speed is great; I can write a 60-second Instagram Reels script and paste it right away. I can create multiple avatars or different looks, and I enjoy the voiceover capability where I can upload my own and HeyGen turns them into a talking head video. The initial setup was very easy, making the experience seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

The 'unlimited videos' marketing can be misleading because the best avatars use a premium credit system, which can burn through the monthly allowance very quickly on the creator plan. Also, they removed the option to give 3 projects every 3 months as a free plan. We cannot accumulate credits, and for annual subscriptions, it's important to have this clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HeyGen solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use HeyGen to create quick explainer and social media videos without being on camera. It saves me time, allows for professional-looking videos, is easy to use, and supports multiple languages. I love the avatar quality and its speed in turning scripts to videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Very Helpful for Voiceovers, Educational Content, and Narration”
What do you like best about Murf.ai?

I work as a Dietician and Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, create health education content for social media, and also prepare educational material for online learning. What I like best about Murf.ai is that it helps me create voiceovers for health education content in a simple and organized way. Instead of recording everything manually, I can convert written content into audio and use it for educational videos, awareness content, presentations, and informational material. I was able to create voice content without spending time learning complicated settings. One thing I find useful is the variety of voice options available. Different voices and basic customization controls help make the narration more suitable for different types of health education content and audiences. This is helpful when working on nutrition awareness topics, wellness information, patient guidance, and educational explanations.

Another useful feature is how it handles longer scripts. I often work with detailed health topics that require more explanation, and Murf.ai can generate audio from longer content without making the process difficult. The voice quality is clear, and the narration is suitable for educational and informational content. I also like that script editing, voice selection, audio generation, and export options are available in one place, which keeps the workflow organized.

It is also useful when preparing voiceovers for educational videos and presentation narration. Having audio versions of health content can make information easier to consume for people who prefer listening instead of reading. I do not use it every day, but whenever I need voiceovers or audio content, it helps reduce the time spent on recording and basic editing work. It also fits easily into my existing content creation workflow because the generated audio can be used across different educational formats. Overall, Murf.ai helps me create health education voiceovers, informational audio content, and presentation narration in a faster and more efficient way while keeping the process simple and easy to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Murf.ai?

One small thing I noticed is that with certain health-related terms or educational content, I occasionally review the pronunciation to make sure it matches the style I want. This does not happen often, but it can come up when working with more detailed or specialized topics.

I also feel that a little more flexibility in managing longer narrations could make content preparation even smoother. The platform works well overall, but for longer educational scripts, I sometimes spend a little extra time reviewing the final audio before using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Murf.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is helping solve the problem of creating voiceovers and audio content in a faster and more efficient way. Recording narration manually can take time, especially when content needs updates or revisions. It makes it easier to convert written content into audio without going through the full recording process every time. It is useful for creating voiceovers for educational videos, awareness content, presentation narration, and informational material. This helps make content preparation more organized and reduces the effort involved in basic audio production.

It is also helpful when creating audio versions of content for people who prefer listening instead of reading. Different voice options and narration controls make it easier to prepare content for different formats and audiences. Overall, it helps save time, improves content creation efficiency, and makes it easier to produce voice-based content whenever audio narration is needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Async Creator?

What stood out to me is how simple everything feels, even after the recent updates. Recording, editing, AI audio enhancement, and exporting are all in one place, so I don't have to switch between different tools. The AI features have also become more useful and help clean up audio quickly without making the workflow complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Async Creator?

Most of my experience has been positive. The only thing I'd like to see is a little more flexibility in some AI usage limits and a few extra editing controls for longer projects. These aren't deal breakers, but they would make the platform even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Async Creator solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps me create audio and video content much faster by keeping recording, editing, and AI-powered improvements in one workflow. “Comprehensive, Intuitive Audio Editing with Seamless Creative Cloud Integration”
What do you like best about Adobe Audition?

It is comprehensive and allows me to edit podcast and music files (both fo audio only and for video) with full control over my clips. The interface - while it has tons of tools and can at first look overwhelming - is intuitive and easy to learn, and visually makes it easy to edit clips. It also communicates will with the other Adobe Create Cloud apps that I use like Premiere Pro.

I can fix audio issues on my clips with ease, accuracy, and no one will know that the clip is even edited! Performance is second-to-none as far as I'm concerned. There is nothing left "wanting" in terms of what's on the market to mix and edit audio.

I use this mainly to edit podcasts, as well as to fix sound on video recordings of our school's concerts. I have occasionally used it to fix or enhance audio on other videos (more dialogue based as necessary) when Premiere Pro doesn't have enough audio capabilities.

It's ability to use Auto-ducking and studio sound provide solid AI capabilities and create great sound with minimal work on my end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?

I do think it could do a little better on the AI side, and I wish there was a built-in transcripting feature. That would add great value to this product. As it is, I use Descript to transcribe and text-edit my audio. If Audition had transcripting and the ability to edit audio by editing the transcript, that would be more helpful for me.

Audition can sometimes feel like a little "too much" for my uses, as I'm not creating albums or mixing complicated music very often, so sometimes I think I'm not getting the value out of it that many others who do music mixing regularly would get. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?

And the pre recorded kits like drums, hats, kicks and snares, claps and many sfx kits and those are very userful for me to create best useful rythem styles and the performance is also good for handling high samples and the ui is mostly beginner friendly, pricing is also reasonable and it provides unlimited trail period for limited tools access. What do you dislike about FL Studio?

previously i have seen volume control knob in older versions but now for the newer version that knob was disabled and not appears in the ui. sometimes when we increase bit rate for audio output it takes more time that expected and sometimes the software lags during exporting. And when i export the audio in .mp3 format the audio quality is not getting as expected until we export it in .wav format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about AutoCut?

I use AutoCut for the edit bucket, which speeds up my time and makes me more efficient in getting projects done. It does all the cutting for me, so I don't have to meticulously do the multi-camera shake or camera angle changes, and I don't have to manually put in zoom ins and zoom outs. It pretty much does everything on auto, including adding B-roll, which saves me time as I can do tasks now with just the push of a button. The features like camera angle changes and zoom functions keep the viewer engaged by ensuring constant movement in the video. Also, the initial setup was super easy for me; downloading AutoCut and locating the extension was straightforward. In general, AutoCut was my first choice for video editing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AutoCut?

I did have some issues with the b roll. It just kept giving me the same error over and over. A better way to know which order you should do these in would be helpful. So maybe a better workflow within AutoCut to make sure you do these step by step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has completely transformed audio editing for me. I use it every single day. The AI is incredibly intelligent in how it enhances everyday audio. It's insanely cool and useful. You also get Adobe's support behind it, which is a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Podcast?

The main thing is that it can't accept .aif files, which is really weird and at times cumbersome. I have not found easily accessible integrations with Adobe Premiere which would be nice, and so I just use the website. It desperately needs dark mode, so I'm not blinded every time I log in. Of course, it's locked behind Adobe CC so it is an expensive paywall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Creative Powerhouse for Electronic Music Producers”
What do you like best about Ableton Live?

I’ve been using Ableton Live Suite for electronic music production and sound design, and the biggest strength for me is the workflow speed and flexibility. The rack system makes it easy to build reusable effect chains, save presets, and experiment quickly without breaking creative flow. I also like Session View and the smooth integration with VST plugins and Max for Live devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ableton Live?

The piano roll and MIDI editing can still feel a bit clunky for detailed composition work compared to some other DAWs. Live 12’s built-in stem separation is useful for quick remixing and idea generation, but the quality is still inconsistent for professional use. Pricing can also feel expensive for independent producers or students. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ableton Live solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before Ableton, I struggled to turn ideas into finished tracks quickly because other DAWs felt more rigid and slowed down experimentation. Ableton made the workflow much faster through Session View, reusable racks, templates, and strong plugin integration. It helps me stay focused on creativity and sound design instead of repetitive setup work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Audacity Makes Audio Editing Simple, Though Occasional Noise Issues Persist”
What do you like best about Audacity?

Audacity changed my understanding of mastering because of the number of its functions. Of course, sound mastering as I knew it had tools and devices that hardly anyone did allow themselves. By the way, the first experiments with mastering and sound producing were in times when there were no computers in every home, but there was a need to record myself as an MC.

Since Audacity came, it is easier to make. Its functions include recording when there are sound inputs from the internal source, like a microphone. The first track covers the next ones, consequently, to give a mix. If the project includes additional sound effects, the producer finds it in the library, which contains dozens of filters. The upper drop-down menus are a way that users know to be close with.

Audacity suggests operations with soundtracks to create projects: analyze the frequencies, create graphics, cut and merge tracks, use extra effects, and create macros. The complete project is ready to use in podcasts, making sound presents, and accompanying group meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Audacity?

The production requires extra attention to input materials' quality as well as extra noises, which interfere with the result. In this case, the sound, like from an old gramophone, is guaranteed. Nevertheless, if it is a part of a creative idea, every sound plays its role in the whole. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I’ve been using Pro Tools since version 6, and it just keeps getting better with each update. Pro Tools is my go-to for live recording because it feels so natural, like working with the board and tape. I was initially unfamiliar with computers, but once I learned the Pro Tools shortcuts, working became second nature, and now I don’t even have to look at the keyboard. It's the official DAW for me, and I'd rate my likelihood to recommend it as a 20 out of 10! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Avid Pro Tools?

I have the perpetual but the update price could be lower. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“What a great tool for editing audio!”
What do you like best about GoldWave?

I like the vast array of features built into GoldWave. It's easy to use, and it's effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoldWave?

The UI probably seems a little outdated, but that's really just a style thing. It's not an issue in terms of usability, just looks a little dated. Also, even though I can open any ridiculous number of audio files for editing at the same time, there doesn't seem to be a way to apply the same action or tool to more than one of them at a time. Ideally, I'd be able to apply a tool like Noise Reduction to every file I have open (or at least selected files). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GoldWave solving and how is that benefiting you?

When I record live voice narration for use in tutorial videos, I need an easy and effective noise reduction tool to clean up the audio from my live mic. I can't afford an expensive sound stage with acoustic treatment covering the walls and whatnot; I just have a desktop pro mic, a reflexion filter, and a pop filter. So I still get some background noise (e.g., from my desktop computer, which has plenty of cooling for the video rendering hardware). GoldWave lets me clean up all that noise so you don't hear the room or any background sounds (within reason). Using the Noise Reduction tool I can clean that stuff up with about three clicks. The resulting audio files sound much crisper, cleaner, and more ... direct. I bought my license GoldWave license some time ago, and it's well worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Awesome”
What do you like best about Studio One?

First, it's the Interface.

I love the click and drag capabilities of Studio compared to any other DAW I have ever used. The work flow is just simply amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Studio One?

I realized a very serious challenge when I started using the software on Desktop Computers.

There was a time that power was suddenly interrupted which made the computer abruptly shut off.

By the time I switched it on and loaded my Project, Studio One says the file is corrupt, so I couldn't load the project again and it has happened consistently. So I'm now careful to use the UPS and backup my project regularly. That has been my major challenge with Studio One. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Studio One solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a Music Producer, Studio One has helped me in creating amazing music for my clients.

The work flow is great and I'm glad I'm gracually getting International recognition for my Job Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“REAPER! - The only DAW that you need to fulfil all your audio needs.”
What do you like best about Reaper?

Reaper was one of the first software that I started using as a student. As time went on and my business started to scale up, I was able to switch to a commercial license. The best thing about Reaper is that there are no limitations placed on anyone using the software for the first time. All installations come with a 60 day evaluation license that does not limit the software even after the time period is over. The folks at Cockos even offer a discounted license for students that is a fraction of the cost you would pay for a full copy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reaper?

Honestly, there are no downsides. There are constant updates that help with this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?

Scaling up business. This is one of the most difficult things to do when there are huge upfront costs associated with starting a business. Reaper allows the flexibility of not having to pay a huge amount upfront. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
