VINAY P.
VP
“Practical Platform for Remote Webinar and Walkthrough Recording”
What do you like best about Riverside?

What stood out most for me was how Riverside reduced the effort required to create clean, professional recordings during project discussions and presentation-sharing activities.

I used it mainly for recording walkthroughs, webinar-style sessions, and explanation videos where audio clarity and quick editing mattered. The separate audio/video tracks were genuinely useful because even when internet quality fluctuated, the final recording quality remained stable.

The AI transcript editing saved a lot of time during longer recordings. Instead of manually searching through videos to trim sections or extract key points, I could directly edit through the transcript and generate shorter clips much faster.

I also liked the automatic subtitles and Magic Clips feature because it simplified converting long recordings into smaller shareable updates for presentations and communication workflows.

The interface felt modern without becoming overly technical, and overall performance during recording and exporting remained reliable in regular usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

The platform works well overall, but there are occasional syncing and browser-related issues during longer remote sessions.

The built-in editor is convenient for quick work, though larger recordings sometimes take longer to process compared to dedicated editing software.

I also felt that some advanced export and customization features could be more flexible in lower-tier plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Riverside solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Riverside, most recording activities depended on standard meeting platforms, which often created audio-quality issues, unstable recordings, and additional post-editing effort.

For example, while recording project explanations and technical walkthroughs remotely, fixing audio mismatches and preparing usable clips consumed unnecessary time.

Riverside simplified this process by combining recording, transcription, editing, subtitles, and clip generation into one workflow. The AI-assisted editing and transcript search reduced manual editing effort significantly, especially during longer recordings.

As a result, creating presentation-ready recordings, webinar content, and technical walkthrough videos became faster, more organized, and easier to manage during ongoing coordination and knowledge-sharing activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Natural, Professional Voiceovers Made Effortless with Murf ai”
What do you like best about Murf.ai?

I have been using Murf ai for about two years, and it has been impressive from the beginning. Even when I first tried it, the voice quality sounded natural and professional. What I like best is how easy it is to convert text into realistic voiceovers without needing advanced technical skills. The variety of voices and accents makes it suitable for different types of projects. The platform is simple, fast, and saves a lot of time, especially for content creation. Even today, it continues to improve, and the quality remains consistently excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Murf.ai?

One thing I dislike about Murf.ai is that sometimes the more natural and premium voices are locked behind higher pricing plans, which can feel limiting for freelancers or small creators. While the platform is easy to use, fine tuning emotions and tone in certain scripts can require extra adjustments to sound perfectly natural. Occasionally, longer scripts may need manual pauses or tweaks to improve flow. It would also be helpful if there were more customization options for voice modulation. That said, these are minor issues compared to the overall quality and convenience the platform provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Murf.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?

have been using Murf.ai for the past two years, and it has solved several important problems for me, especially in content creation and freelance projects. Before using Murfai, creating professional voiceovers was a challenge. Recording my own voice required proper equipment, a quiet environment, and multiple retakes to get the perfect result. It was time consuming and sometimes not consistent in quality. Murf ai solved this problem by providing a simple and efficient text to voice solution. I can now convert scripts into natural sounding voiceovers within minutes. This has saved me a significant amount of time and effort. Instead of worrying about background noise, microphone quality, or voice clarity, I can focus more on writing better scripts and improving overall content quality. One of the biggest benefits for me is the realistic voice quality. The AI generated voices sound professional and clear, which is very useful for explainer videos, presentations, YouTube content, and client projects. I don’t need to hire a voice artist for every small project, which also helps reduce costs. For freelancers like me, this is a big advantage. Another problem Murfai solves is flexibility. If I want to make changes in the script, I can quickly edit the text and regenerate the voiceover. In traditional recording, even a small mistake means re recording everything. With Murf , revisions are fast and simple. This improves my workflow and helps me deliver projects on time. Over the past two years, I have seen improvements in the platform. The voices have become more natural, and the interface remains user-friendly. Even today, I continue to use it because it consistently delivers reliable results. It has made voice production accessible without technical complexity. Overall, Murf ai solves the problem of expensive, time-consuming voice recording by offering a fast, high quality text to speech solution. It benefits me by saving time, reducing costs, and allowing me to create professional voiceovers easily and efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love this platform as it generates highly convincing videos with even lip syncing of the avatar. We can generate the avatar with super realistic look. This platform AI can generate output of high quality which is really good. Other than this , This platform can also change the language of my uploaded video while cloning my tone and accent to the translated audio. The No code approach and allowing user to communicate the prompt in normal human language makes this platform more powerful. I love the performance of this platform. The platform is user friendly and the onboarding of this platform was really easy. Custom avatar can also be created in higher plans. I also feel that the pricing of this platform is also moderate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

I love most part of this platform but the subscription of this platform in credits maybe expensive for some firms who tends to use a lot of AI for content creation. The budget may go overhead for such users. I also wish that the mobile version was more better and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HeyGen solving and how is that benefiting you?

This platform is really a friend for content creation purpose as it can solve almost all needs from generation of new videos to customizing of old videos to the new population needs. “Reducing Editing Time Through Transcript-Based Video Workflows”
What do you like best about Descript?

What I value most about Descript is how much it reduces the friction in creating and editing technical walkthroughs, presentation recordings, and process-explanation videos. Earlier, even a small correction in a recording meant manually searching timelines and trimming clips in traditional editing software. With Descript, editing through the transcript changed that workflow completely.

One feature I regularly use is text-based editing. While preparing training recordings or internal demo videos, I can remove repeated lines, pauses, or mistakes directly from the transcript instead of manually cutting frames. That alone saves a noticeable amount of editing time during weekly content preparation.

The screen-recording workflow is also very practical. I often record short walkthroughs, process demonstrations, or presentation explanations, and Descript automatically generates transcripts, captions, and cleaned-up audio in the same workspace. The AI-assisted filler-word removal and audio cleanup tools were unexpectedly useful because they reduced the amount of manual polishing normally required before sharing recordings.

I also liked how approachable the UI/UX feels compared to heavier editing suites. The onboarding process was straightforward, the built-in instructions were clear, and integrations with export and sharing workflows made it easier to prepare professional-looking recordings without requiring advanced editing expertise.

And productivity. Instead of spending hours cleaning recordings manually, most small-to-medium edits can now be completed much faster, which improved turnaround time for presentations, documentation videos, and instructional content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Descript?

The transcription engine works well overall, but technical terminology, names, and certain accents still occasionally require manual correction. For engineering or process-heavy recordings, I sometimes need to review transcripts carefully before exporting captions or summaries.

Performance can also slow slightly when working with larger recordings or multi-layer projects. For quick edits it performs smoothly, but heavier sessions occasionally become less responsive than expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Descript solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Descript, creating walkthrough recordings, training videos, or process demonstrations required significantly more manual editing effort. Even basic tasks like trimming pauses, generating captions, correcting spoken mistakes, or cleaning background noise consumed unnecessary time.

For example, after recording a process explanation or presentation walkthrough, I previously had to manually review timelines, adjust cuts, create captions separately, and clean audio using multiple tools. That slowed down delivery and made smaller recording tasks feel unnecessarily time-consuming.

Descript simplified that workflow by centralizing recording, transcription, editing, captions, and audio cleanup into one platform. The text-based editing model reduced repetitive editing work considerably, and AI-assisted cleanup tools improved overall recording quality without requiring advanced production experience.

As a result, I can prepare clearer instructional content, cleaner presentation recordings, and faster demo videos with much less manual effort. It improved editing speed, reduced repetitive work, and made short-form professional content creation much more manageable within daily workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Comprehensive, Intuitive Audio Editing with Seamless Creative Cloud Integration”
What do you like best about Adobe Audition?

It is comprehensive and allows me to edit podcast and music files (both fo audio only and for video) with full control over my clips. The interface - while it has tons of tools and can at first look overwhelming - is intuitive and easy to learn, and visually makes it easy to edit clips. It also communicates will with the other Adobe Create Cloud apps that I use like Premiere Pro.

I can fix audio issues on my clips with ease, accuracy, and no one will know that the clip is even edited! Performance is second-to-none as far as I'm concerned. There is nothing left "wanting" in terms of what's on the market to mix and edit audio.

I use this mainly to edit podcasts, as well as to fix sound on video recordings of our school's concerts. I have occasionally used it to fix or enhance audio on other videos (more dialogue based as necessary) when Premiere Pro doesn't have enough audio capabilities.

It's ability to use Auto-ducking and studio sound provide solid AI capabilities and create great sound with minimal work on my end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?

I do think it could do a little better on the AI side, and I wish there was a built-in transcripting feature. That would add great value to this product. As it is, I use Descript to transcribe and text-edit my audio. If Audition had transcripting and the ability to edit audio by editing the transcript, that would be more helpful for me.

Audition can sometimes feel like a little "too much" for my uses, as I'm not creating albums or mixing complicated music very often, so sometimes I think I'm not getting the value out of it that many others who do music mixing regularly would get. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Logic Pro X?

I use Logic Pro X to record electric guitar and bass for various music projects. It's quite a seamless DAW and feels more efficient compared to my previous experience with Reaper, which was prone to crashes. I can add more layers of tracks without experiencing any lagging. I find it extremely easy to use and appreciate the plethora of built-in plugins for guitar and bass. I also enjoy experimenting with the amp and cab sims provided, which adds to the flexibility alongside external plugins I use regularly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?

I wish stacking plugins was a bit easier. Sometimes when I stack plugins like reverb and delay with amp sims, one or two of the plugins aren't recognized. What do you dislike about Adobe Podcast?

The main thing is that it can't accept .aif files, which is really weird and at times cumbersome. What do you like best about Ableton Live?

I’ve been using Ableton Live Suite for electronic music production and sound design, and the biggest strength for me is the workflow speed and flexibility. The rack system makes it easy to build reusable effect chains, save presets, and experiment quickly without breaking creative flow. I also like Session View and the smooth integration with VST plugins and Max for Live devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ableton Live?

The piano roll and MIDI editing can still feel a bit clunky for detailed composition work compared to some other DAWs. Live 12’s built-in stem separation is useful for quick remixing and idea generation, but the quality is still inconsistent for professional use. Pricing can also feel expensive for independent producers or students. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ableton Live solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before Ableton, I struggled to turn ideas into finished tracks quickly because other DAWs felt more rigid and slowed down experimentation. What do you dislike about GoldWave?

The UI probably seems a little outdated, but that's really just a style thing. It's not an issue in terms of usability, just looks a little dated. Also, even though I can open any ridiculous number of audio files for editing at the same time, there doesn't seem to be a way to apply the same action or tool to more than one of them at a time. Ideally, I'd be able to apply a tool like Noise Reduction to every file I have open (or at least selected files). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GoldWave solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can't afford an expensive sound stage with acoustic treatment covering the walls and whatnot; I just have a desktop pro mic, a reflexion filter, and a pop filter. So I still get some background noise (e.g., from my desktop computer, which has plenty of cooling for the video rendering hardware). GoldWave lets me clean up all that noise so you don't hear the room or any background sounds (within reason). Using the Noise Reduction tool I can clean that stuff up with about three clicks. The resulting audio files sound much crisper, cleaner, and more ... direct. I bought my license GoldWave license some time ago, and it's well worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Awesome”
What do you like best about Studio One?

First, it's the Interface.

I love the click and drag capabilities of Studio compared to any other DAW I have ever used. The work flow is just simply amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Studio One?

I realized a very serious challenge when I started using the software on Desktop Computers.

There was a time that power was suddenly interrupted which made the computer abruptly shut off.

By the time I switched it on and loaded my Project, Studio One says the file is corrupt, so I couldn't load the project again and it has happened consistently. So I'm now careful to use the UPS and backup my project regularly. That has been my major challenge with Studio One. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Studio One solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a Music Producer, Studio One has helped me in creating amazing music for my clients.

The work flow is great and I'm glad I'm gracually getting International recognition for my Job Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Original Information
“REAPER! - The only DAW that you need to fulfil all your audio needs.”
What do you like best about Reaper?

Reaper was one of the first software that I started using as a student. As time went on and my business started to scale up, I was able to switch to a commercial license. The best thing about Reaper is that there are no limitations placed on anyone using the software for the first time. All installations come with a 60 day evaluation license that does not limit the software even after the time period is over. The folks at Cockos even offer a discounted license for students that is a fraction of the cost you would pay for a full copy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reaper?

Honestly, there are no downsides. There are constant updates that help with this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?

Scaling up business. This is one of the most difficult things to do when there are huge upfront costs associated with starting a business. Reaper allows the flexibility of not having to pay a huge amount upfront. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
