“My Go-To Platform for High-Quality Podcast Recording”
What do you like best about Riverside?

I love how easy Riverside is to use without sacrificing quality. The platform is incredibly intuitive, so I can focus on the conversation instead of worrying about the tech. The recording quality is consistently high, which is critical for a professional podcast, and the editing tools are powerful but still simple to navigate. It saves me a ton of time and makes the entire process, from recording to final cut, feel seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

There’s not much to dislike. Occasionally there’s a minor technical hiccup, but it’s rare and typically resolves quickly without impacting the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Riverside solving and how is that benefiting you?

Riverside solves the challenge of recording high-quality remote conversations without the usual technical headaches. It ensures both audio and video are captured locally, so I don’t have to worry about internet issues ruining an episode. “Natural, Professional Voiceovers Made Effortless with Murf ai”
What do you like best about Murf.ai?

I have been using Murf ai for about two years, and it has been impressive from the beginning. Even when I first tried it, the voice quality sounded natural and professional. What I like best is how easy it is to convert text into realistic voiceovers without needing advanced technical skills. The variety of voices and accents makes it suitable for different types of projects. The platform is simple, fast, and saves a lot of time, especially for content creation. Even today, it continues to improve, and the quality remains consistently excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Murf.ai?

One thing I dislike about Murf.ai is that sometimes the more natural and premium voices are locked behind higher pricing plans, which can feel limiting for freelancers or small creators. While the platform is easy to use, fine tuning emotions and tone in certain scripts can require extra adjustments to sound perfectly natural. Occasionally, longer scripts may need manual pauses or tweaks to improve flow. It would also be helpful if there were more customization options for voice modulation. That said, these are minor issues compared to the overall quality and convenience the platform provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Murf.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?

have been using Murf.ai for the past two years, and it has solved several important problems for me, especially in content creation and freelance projects. Before using Murfai, creating professional voiceovers was a challenge. Recording my own voice required proper equipment, a quiet environment, and multiple retakes to get the perfect result. It was time consuming and sometimes not consistent in quality. Murf ai solved this problem by providing a simple and efficient text to voice solution. I can now convert scripts into natural sounding voiceovers within minutes. This has saved me a significant amount of time and effort. Instead of worrying about background noise, microphone quality, or voice clarity, I can focus more on writing better scripts and improving overall content quality. One of the biggest benefits for me is the realistic voice quality. The AI generated voices sound professional and clear, which is very useful for explainer videos, presentations, YouTube content, and client projects. I don’t need to hire a voice artist for every small project, which also helps reduce costs. For freelancers like me, this is a big advantage. Another problem Murfai solves is flexibility. If I want to make changes in the script, I can quickly edit the text and regenerate the voiceover. In traditional recording, even a small mistake means re recording everything. With Murf , revisions are fast and simple. This improves my workflow and helps me deliver projects on time. Over the past two years, I have seen improvements in the platform. The voices have become more natural, and the interface remains user-friendly. Even today, I continue to use it because it consistently delivers reliable results. It has made voice production accessible without technical complexity. Overall, Murf ai solves the problem of expensive, time-consuming voice recording by offering a fast, high quality text to speech solution. It benefits me by saving time, reducing costs, and allowing me to create professional voiceovers easily and efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Natural, Authentic Digital Twins with an Intuitive UI”
What do you like best about HeyGen?

I found the generated digital twin to be natural, authentic. It passed all our tests to see if the avatar could garner the same if not more engagement than that of a traditionally produced executive video.

The UI was intuitive, and only a few times did I need to do a Google search for specific instructions.

In our case, we voice cloned on ElevanLabs and connected to HeyGen through an API. Easy, secure.

I should say our use case was to be able to generate company founder videos on a regular basis at a time when the founder was not readily available but 1-2 times. HeyGen gave us leverage to film once, and feed scripts for the future videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HeyGen?

To tell you the truth, I actually do not yet have a downside recorded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HeyGen solving and how is that benefiting you?

We launch new tech companies and provide the GTM support they need on a fractional basis. Video tutorials for building trust are so important these days to add to the marketing mix. The problem is that the founders/execs are not available on a regular basis. HeyGen allowed us to film once, clone and then create regular videos through generative AI means moving forward. The Execs still have final content control of course. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Game-Changing Text-Based Editing That Saves Time”
What do you like best about Descript?

What I like most about Descript is that it makes editing so easy. I mean, the text editing is a game changer. Instead of using complicated timelines, you can simply edit the text and it will automatically change the video or audio. It’s really time-saving, especially if you have a podcast or talking videos. I also like the features that use AI, such as removing filler words and enhancing the quality of the audio. The transcription is fast and accurate most of the time, and everything is in one place. Also the ease to integrate with many things and the customer support was. I use it all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Descript?

Sometimes the app may feel a bit slow or glitchy, especially with larger projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Descript solving and how is that benefiting you?

Descript helps me save a lot of time when I’m editing video or audio content. Instead of spending hours cutting up footage, I can simply edit the transcript and achieve the same result much faster. It’s also really useful for creating educational content, because it lets me record, edit, and export everything in one place rather than having to switch between several different programs. “Powerful, Pro Level Audio Editing with Adobe Audition”
What do you like best about Adobe Audition?

I have been using Adobe Audition for the past 4 years, and it has been a great experience. When I first started using it, the interface felt a little different and slightly complex compared to other audio editing tools. However, once I became familiar with the layout, everything started to feel smooth and well-organized. What I like best about Adobe Audition is its powerful feature set. It offers excellent tools for sound editing, voice enhancement, and professional-level mixing. The noise reduction and audio cleanup features are especially impressive removing background noise, hiss, or unwanted sounds is very easy and effective. The multitrack editing option also makes it simple to manage multiple audio layers for podcasts, voiceovers, and music projects. Adobe Audition provides high-quality results and gives full control over audio editing, which makes it one of the best tools for creators and professionals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?

beginners. When I first started using it, I found it a bit confusing because there are so many tools, panels, and advanced options available. It takes time to fully understand where everything is and how to use it efficiently. Another downside is that it can be heavy on system resources. On lower-end systems, it may lag or take time to process effects, especially when working on large multitrack projects. Also, since it’s part of Adobe Creative Cloud, the subscription cost can feel expensive for freelancers or small creators. Once you get used to it, it becomes easier to manage, but the learning curve and pricing could definitely be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have been using Adobe Audition for the past four years, and it has solved many important audio related problems for me, especially in my freelance projects. Before using Adobe Audition, I often struggled with extending audio tracks, cleaning background noise, and properly mixing sound for videos. Many online tools and basic editing software did not provide the level of control or quality that I needed. One specific problem Adobe Audition solved for me was extending nature sounds smoothly. I once needed to increase a natural ambient sound from 30 minutes to 1 hour. On most online platforms, extending audio is not easy. You usually have to manually copy and paste sections, and sometimes the transitions are noticeable or the quality drops. However, in Adobe Audition, I was able to use the looping and multitrack features to extend the sound seamlessly. The audio remained smooth, natural, and continuous without obvious cuts or repetition issues. This saved me a lot of time and helped me deliver better results. Another major benefit for me has been audio cleanup and enhancement. In freelance video editing projects, audio quality is extremely important. Clients expect clear voice, balanced background music, and no distracting noise. AdobAudition’s noise reduction, equalization, compression, and mixing tools allow me to professionally clean voice recordings and improve overall sound quality. Instead of struggling with limited features in online editors, I can fine tune every detail of the audio. It has also helped me manage multitrack projects more efficiently. When working on videos, I often need to handle voiceovers, background music, sound effects, and ambient sounds together. The multitrack editor makes it easy to organize and adjust each layer properly. This improves my workflow and makes complex projects much more manageable. In the beginning, the workspace felt slightly overwhelming because there are many tools and panels. However, after spending some time learning the interface, I realized that it is actually well-designed and powerful. Once you understand the layout, the workflow becomes smooth and efficient.

AdobeAudition has helped me save time, improve audio quality, and deliver professional results to my freelance clients. It gives me full control over sound editing, which is something I did not find in simpler tools. Because of its reliability, advanced features, and high quality output, I would confidently rate it 10 out of 10. Even today, whenever I need professional audio editing, I still choose Adobe Audition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Great all-in-one DAW that’s easy to stick with long term”
What do you like best about Logic Pro X?

I’ve been using Logic for a while now, and it’s a really solid all-in-one DAW. It comes with pretty much everything you need right out of the box—from instruments and plug-ins to mixing and mastering tools—so you don’t immediately feel like you have to go out and buy a bunch of extras.

Once you get used to it, the workflow is straightforward and makes a lot of sense, and it’s especially strong for writing and arranging. I also appreciate how well it runs on Mac: it feels stable and performs well, even when I’m working on bigger projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?

Some parts of it aren’t very intuitive, especially when you’re just starting out. There are quite a few features and menus that feel hidden at first, and it takes time to learn where everything is.

It also feels pretty tied to the Apple ecosystem, so you don’t have much flexibility if you ever want to move to a different setup. And compared to some other DAWs, certain workflows—like editing or routing—can feel a bit slower until you get used to how it’s laid out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mainly, it gives me one place to write, record, and produce music without needing to jump between multiple tools. I can take an idea and turn it into a finished track, all within the same project.

It also makes it easier to experiment quickly with different sounds and arrangements, which really helps my creativity. Overall, it streamlines the entire music-making process and keeps everything in one workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Ableton Live solving and how is that benefiting you?

I feel that Ableton Live addresses a lot of the challenges that tend to come up during live performance. It’s been especially helpful for me when I’m playing live with a synth MIDI keyboard, since it makes live looping feel much easier to manage and far more practical in the moment.

So, my situation before was nil and after getting into Ableton live it changed my perspectives towards playing live and production.

“What a great tool for editing audio!”
What do you like best about GoldWave?

I like the vast array of features built into GoldWave. It's easy to use, and it's effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoldWave?

The UI probably seems a little outdated, but that's really just a style thing. It's not an issue in terms of usability, just looks a little dated. Also, even though I can open any ridiculous number of audio files for editing at the same time, there doesn't seem to be a way to apply the same action or tool to more than one of them at a time. Ideally, I'd be able to apply a tool like Noise Reduction to every file I have open (or at least selected files). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GoldWave solving and how is that benefiting you?

When I record live voice narration for use in tutorial videos, I need an easy and effective noise reduction tool to clean up the audio from my live mic. I can't afford an expensive sound stage with acoustic treatment covering the walls and whatnot; I just have a desktop pro mic, a reflexion filter, and a pop filter. So I still get some background noise (e.g., from my desktop computer, which has plenty of cooling for the video rendering hardware). GoldWave lets me clean up all that noise so you don't hear the room or any background sounds (within reason). Using the Noise Reduction tool I can clean that stuff up with about three clicks. The resulting audio files sound much crisper, cleaner, and more ... direct. I bought my license GoldWave license some time ago, and it's well worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

All installations come with a 60 day evaluation license that does not limit the software even after the time period is over. The folks at Cockos even offer a discounted license for students that is a fraction of the cost you would pay for a full copy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
