"What a great tool for editing audio!"

What do you like best about GoldWave?

What do you dislike about GoldWave?

The UI probably seems a little outdated, but that's really just a style thing. It's not an issue in terms of usability, just looks a little dated. Also, even though I can open any ridiculous number of audio files for editing at the same time, there doesn't seem to be a way to apply the same action or tool to more than one of them at a time. Ideally, I'd be able to apply a tool like Noise Reduction to every file I have open (or at least selected files). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GoldWave solving and how is that benefiting you?

When I record live voice narration for use in tutorial videos, I need an easy and effective noise reduction tool to clean up the audio from my live mic. I can't afford an expensive sound stage with acoustic treatment covering the walls and whatnot; I just have a desktop pro mic, a reflexion filter, and a pop filter. So I still get some background noise (e.g., from my desktop computer, which has plenty of cooling for the video rendering hardware). GoldWave lets me clean up all that noise so you don't hear the room or any background sounds (within reason). Using the Noise Reduction tool I can clean that stuff up with about three clicks. The resulting audio files sound much crisper, cleaner, and more ... direct. I bought my license GoldWave license some time ago, and it's well worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GoldWave?

I found Gold wave as the best Audio editor, very easy to use, you no need to watch any tutorial for using this software and you can edit audio like PRO. with the use of fabulous features like fade-in, fade-out and Cross-fade you can join two or more audio easily and smooth. What do you dislike about GoldWave?

Honestly, there is nothing which I don't like about this software because it is the best among other software available. but it can be a cherry on the cake if they provide a better GUI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Best & Lightest Powerful Audio Editing Software"

What do you like best about GoldWave?

Although it provides tons of powerful functions, but the best thing is, It is easiest to use and lightest compare to other audio editing software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoldWave?

When you edit an audio file around 6 to 7 times and did not export or save it, the audio file might get corrupted. But don't worry, your audio file will not be affected because you still can undo your changed. Hence, you will need to think and plan how to edit and cut your audio efficiently. What problems is GoldWave solving and how is that benefiting you?

I usually use it to combine instrumental audio (karaoke audio) with the original vocal music and burn it out on the CD at the end.

The Basic functions that I love from GoldWave:

1. Watch and analyze real-time visuals to see the audio frequency (Zoom in/out)

2. Act as a music player which able to change the playback speed

3. Able to input your voice (Mic Record)

4. Provides common shortcut keys function such as cut, copy, paste and undo

5. Support many audio types, including mp3, m4a, wma, aac, etc.

The ultra functions that I love From GoldWave:

1. You can input the file directly from the CD Reader from GoldWave

2. It provide Speech Converter tool to listen your documentation

3. The Noise reduction function can clean your audio to remove the background noise

4. Best & Best, the vocal removal functions allows you to remove the vocal of the music so you can export the Karaoke audio file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Now I use Goldwave for editing podcasts, audios, interviews and webinars of my clients online. What do you like best about GoldWave?

Possibly the easiest audio editing tool. I came from audacity, and Goldwave felt like a breath of fresh air. The noise reduction function and mixing functions were my favorite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
