**What do you like best about ZoneBilling?**

What I like most is how flexible the platform is for handling different billing models inside NetSuite. We manage recurring contracts along with usage based billing and ZoneBilling helped us automate a lot of manual invoice work that used to happen in spreadsheets. The amendment handling is also useful because contract changes happen often in our business and the system keeps things organized without too much manual adjustment.

The setup process can feel overwhelming in the beginning especially if your billing logic is complicated. Some configurations require deeper product knowledge and new users may need time before they fully understand how amendments and usage models work.

**What problems is ZoneBilling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using ZoneBilling we had disconnected billing processes and too much manual reconciliation between contracts invoices and revenue reporting. Subscription updates usage charges and customer amendments were difficult to track accurately which caused delays during month end closing.

**What do you like best about ZoneBilling?**

What I like most is how powerful the billing engine is when dealing with complex pricing. It handles subscription, usage based and hybrid billing all in one place which is very useful for SaaS or service businesses. Everything runs inside NetSuite so I don’t need multiple tools or messy integrations. It also automates invoicing and revenue recognition which saves a lot of manual effort once things are configured properly.

The automated invoicing across multiple billing zones has removed what used to be one of the most error prone parts of our monthly close process. Different rate structures and tax configurations across regions are handled without our finance team having to manually intervene for each territory. The accuracy improvement alone has reduced the time spent on invoice corrections and client queries around billing discrepancies significantly.

The initial zone configuration requires careful planning upfront and mistakes made during setup are not always easy to reverse cleanly.

What I like most about zonebilling is how it ties billing, revenue recognition, and CPQ together in one flow. It makes the whole quite to cash process much smoother, especially if you are working with tricky pricing or lots of product options. Things like automated approvals, guided selling, and real time pricing save our team a lot of time and cut down on mistakes. Onedownside of zonebilling is that you can not make changes yourself you have to contact their team for any updates or additions, the problem is they rarely respond, and they charge you every single time.

Zonebilling makes managing subscription easy and flexible. It automatically handles things like billing for partical periods (proration), free trails, and sensing invoices. The setup is straightforward thanks to clear instructions, and the interface is simple to use. It also works well with payment systems and customer management tools.

Support needs to step up and stop acting like they did in the beginning. Now, it takes weeks to get tickets resolved. Also using metrics to clearly separate renwals fron reactivations would make things much easier for us.

Zone billing has a simple and easy to use interface its customer and subscription pages display almost all the necessary information. one of its best features is the creative timeline tool, which helps simulate real subscription and payment scenarios. if any arises, you can manually reproduce it using webhooks. zone billing also keeps logs of all events, including emails, which is very helpful for daily operations. the activity log is especially useful, making it easy to track changes and see who made them over time.

With Zone, we can trust that our customer contract data is accurate and complete. It has enabled us to fully automate our billing for all standard deals, freeing up more time for my AR team to dedicate to other areas of the order to cash process.

I wish you could customize the "Subscription Selection" page where you can see all upcoming charges in the billing backlog. This would enable my team to get a better understanding of the categorization of our backlog; however, this is easliy solved as we are able to achieve this same result from a custom saved search.

ZoneBilling automates the billing for our customer base, which is primarily on a SaaS recurring business model, with thousands of customers versus only a few AR team members.

**What do you like best about ZoneBilling?**

The ability to manage subscritpions seemlessly as part of th order to cash process.   Zone also sits nicely within Netsuite and so feels part of the ERP from a user perspective.

**What do you dislike about ZoneBilling?**

The limitiations of Netsuite in processing large amounts of data simultaneously restricts ZoneBilling's functionality as a consumption ratng tool for our business.

**What problems is ZoneBilling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zones ability to manage the renewals process means that we are always of aware of subscriptions coming up for renewal and so can act accordingly.  It also allows us to manage our pricing in a simplistic manner

Flexibiity! We have thrown multiple complex scenarios for our billing and it has accomplished them all. We have multiple models and as we adjust the scenarioes for each, our implenter is able to quickly update the platform.

**What do you dislike about ZoneBilling?**

Complexity: this a double edged sword. While it required an implementer and tons of documentation, if it asn't this way we wouldn't be happy. The upside is we have found an amazing implementer in Reed Consultant who has made it easy for us. Zone has provided detailed tutorials that allow us to self serve on many of the day-to-day things we need accomplished.

**What problems is ZoneBilling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation of quote to cash. Combined with Salesforce CPQ and Workato, we are able to elimate much of the manual processing and errors.

I love how user friendly zone billing is the interface is simple and intergrates seamlessly with our current systems. Everything is centralized, which really saves time and helps avoid mistakes.

The best part is having all billing functions in one place. The dashboard is easy to navigate, making it simple to handle invoices and payment, Customer support is always instant to help out , which really boosts overall efficiency.

The only downside i have noticed is that sometimes data syncing with external systems takes a little longer than expected also, i wish there were more ways to customize the rporting features so that the insights could be more tailored to our needs.

**What do you like best about ZoneBilling?**

ZoneBilling is highly customizable and is seamless with NetSuite. It makes processing revenue for month end close quick and gives us the ability to systematically chase AR with customers. The Zone team also brainstorms with us to find solutions to more complicated pricing rules, which is really helpful when trying to figure out how to best add functionality to Zone as pricing evolves. While there is definitely a learning curve for this product and there are lots of nuances, once the team is comfortable in the system it is a very powerful tool. We have been happy with the product and the partnership with the broader Zone team.

**What do you dislike about ZoneBilling?**

While ZoneBilling is highly customizable, it can take significant development work to add customizations that cannot be handled in-house. This takes a lot of time and resources to ensure pricing rules are added and functioning properly.

**What problems is ZoneBilling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ZoneBilling allows us to have highly customized pricing rules across a complex customer hierarchy structure with lots of parent / child relationships. We have been able to automate manual pricing calculations in the product, reducing risk of human error and the time it takes to compile monthly bills.

ZoneBilling currently has some limitations when it comes to integrating with payment gatways in specific regions, especially in latin america. This is an area where there id considerable potentail for further development.

Our organization uses zonebilling and relies on webhooks and API integration to sync data in real time with our internal data base. Compared to other systems, zonebillings APIs and webhooks are better documented, more reliable and easier to work with. We reported a localization bug to zonebilling support, and they quickly fixed it in production.

It also helps generate monthly reports and gives quick access to daily transaction details. Its used ofte.

Interface can be improved but there are a few things to dislike.

I can easily access my information and everything is simple use. I can quickly get more details in my GL. iI also like the reclassify features which lets me fix wrong GL codes keeping the GL cleaner with fewer adjustmets.

We use ZAB each month to charge hundreds of subscriptions seamlessly. The implementation team at Zone did a great job integrating ZAB with NetSuite and our customized instance.

Troubleshooting for errors or unexpected results can sometimes be like digging for a needle in a haystack, due to the complexity and dynamic range of ZAB's capabilities.

We chose Zone Advanced Billing to support expansion and rapid scale of our business and have been a happy customer for several years.  In addition to reliable technology that works on a platform we know (Netsuite), Zone has been a reliable consulting and advisory partner.

Their capabilities allowed us to get more out of our ERP to focus on our business growth and streamline our operations - all without migrating our back office systems.

Our technical team also found their APIs intuitive and easy to work with.  ZAB has become a cornerstone of our internal billing ecosystem.

Zone has many different component offerings and it can initially be confusing which best fit our use-case. The Zone team was excellent at helping us identify these and come up with a plan of action.

We chose Zone because it could handle our complex billing scenarios with minimal customization. We have subscriptions, usage-based, a variety of discounting and pricing options, self service contract changes, minimums, prepaid usage, and more. Integrates seamlessly with Salesforce via Workato, Netsuite ARM and Avalara.

Required spending for additonal SuiteCloud lanes for script processing to get script run times down to an acceptable level.

It is allowing us to automate our subscription invoicing by leveraging their usage functionality.  NS functionality does not come close to what we need and their software enables this. Customer support has been helpful and responsive.  We used a 3rd party to implement.

It does not play well with NS's ARM.  There was a bug that was unable to be resolved with Netsuite.  To work around this we are moving away from NS ARM for multiple reasons.

It allows us to recognize revenue via usage while still capturing the detail we need in Netsuite.

Zone Advance Billing provides the functionality needed for countless billing structures. The software works seamlessly within the walls of NetSuite and provides a scaleable and effective tool for our SAAS business. The subscription and charge schedule reporting is especially helpful and can be tailored for your business.

I would need an experts help to implement and use new features.

ZoneBilling has the functionality to bill non-standard items such as irrugular contract terms, tiered pricing, usage, percent complete. Many of these billing scenarios were handled manually through spreadsheets prior to the implementation of ZoneBilling.
