What do you like best?

me gusta el Software Zello por que su aplicación es muy sencilla de instalar, fácil de utilizar y tiene una capacidad de almacenamiento bastante aceptable.

su utilidad es increíble porque puedo mantenerme en comunicación con con mis compañeros de trabajo o con los grupos de amigos que he formado simplemente con solo tocar un botón.

el hecho de que sea capaz de grabar las conversaciones, es sencillamente fenomenal, porque me permite volver a escucharlas cuando quiera o las necesite.

hasta los momentos el único inconveniente que hemos tenido con la aplicación del sofware Zello, es que cuando entra una llamada se interrumpe la comunicación y lamentablemente no tiene ninguna opción para detenerla, por lo que mi recomendación es que si hay una manera de resolver este pequeño problemita, seria maravilloso, por lo demás no tenemos nada malo que decir. What do you like best?

Me gusta que todos los que están conectados al mismo canal puedan escuchar el chat en tiempo real. Es muy útil el que no sea necesario tener un Internet muy veloz al momento de usar la aplicación, ya que algunas veces el servicio de Internet puede fallar en algunas partes del país.

Ayuda a ahorrar dinero porque no se consume el saldo del teléfono y con algunos megas puede funcionar perfectamente, así que a la hora de una emergencia es muy práctica esta aplicación.

Es sencilla, fácil de usar e instalar. Tiene la opción de mantener la aplicación en sesión abierta o cerrada, como uno lo prefiera, esta característica es muy buena porque a diferencia de otras aplicaciones, que sirven para comunicarse, uno siempre está en línea y eso consume megas innecesarios.

No me agrada que si estoy usando la aplicación y entra una llamada, entonces dejó de escuchar el chat, no tengo la opción de elegir si seguir escuchando el chat o atender la llamada.

What do you like best?

We now have the ability to talk to crews across the state. It also allows us to create channels & users as we need them. Our UHF system that we had only had 2 channels. With adding Zello we were able to create Tac Channels for special event & large scale events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Honestly I have nothing that I dislike. I would maybe like to see a feature on there admin site where the admin's can see how much a channel is used during peak hours, and haw many keys up per radio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Get it, it is totally worth it. Its worth the money. For first responders it is worth the grant they offer. It can save lives. It has already help us on psych emergencies where a psych patient was out of control, and the crew needed police back up quickly, they were able to key up their radio, and within 5 min police were on scene, and able to backup our crews. Zello is allowing us to communicate in areas where we were. an example would be when we were walking in buildings & homes our portables would never work inside the building. Since we have added Zello to our fleet we are now able to talk to anyone and everywhere in the state & nationwide. We are realizing that we can have crews radio us wherever they are, and if they need additional recourses the dispatchers can send it to them right away. What do you like best?

I love the ability to track users in real time in the field. It assists in our ability to be accurate, on time, and expeditious in the release of information to a group. In addition, we are able to send accurate information through multiple ways. This is extremely beneficial for peer-to-peer communication and group communications. Sometimes there is a delay in the tracking; however, it is not frequent and does not last long. Other than that, it is a great product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Definitely have a system set up for the distribution of usernames/call signs for your group prior to implementing Zello. However, this should be a solid SOP prior to having Zello and should be in use for all other communication systems. Like anything, organization is a key component to success and communications need to be on the cutting edge of this, especially for investigative organizations such as mine. Make sure to conduct training sessions and/or have a training tutorial for new users. There are so many great uses with this product, the user needs to understand how to utilize all of them to have the full affect. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The first thing which comes to mind is the ability to have a secure platform to send sensitive information on not only a peer-to-peer basis, but also to a group. This is extremely important as my usage often includes sensitive information regarding child sex trafficking investigations. Also, definitely broadcasting relevant information in multiple formats instantaneously. We are able to use it as a PTT radio, text facilitator, and in-general communication device. We are able to send all types of information in multiple formats. What do you like best?

The increased capabilities in communications, this system has given us the ability to make our communications network unlimited. In the passed we were limited to basic analog land mobile radio. We now can talk into our radio system from anywhere with cellular or wifi! The channels that we have set up have created real time communications with groups that in the past would be individual landline calls. The ability for users to turn on and off talk groups when they are working has created an increase in usage from our employees. The cellular to land mobile radio has been the capability that has driven this product out of the park. For many years we were looking for a solution to do this and finally Zello has given us the ability to communicate via cellular into our radio system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

We have a limited land mobile radio network. Our radio network has gaps in coverage that have cause issues when operating at an emergency scene. Also our agency responds to incidents well outside our radio coverage. With Zello and the gateway setup we are now limitless. We have also created numerous internal talk groups (channels) that have dramatically increased our communications capabilities. What do you like best?

when multiple people are spread out around our wide workspace, Zello is by far the easiest tool to use to communicate quickly in an urgent situation where other forms of communication are not appropriate. the speed of the communication is one of the best attributes for my team. Multiple tasks must be started and completed exactly at the same time, so this allows our team to accomplish this and stay on schedule. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

in order for the application to work and serve its purpose, the volume must be on, which can lead to unintended listeners of confidential information, and disruptions during meetings. the walkie talkie making noise at innapropriate times is the biggest downside. however, this is a double edged sword, considering this is the exact purpose, to force all team members to hear the message. What do you like best?

Using Zello allows my organization to effortlessly contact each other in less-intrusive than a call and more immediate than an instant message. Sometimes a Slack message is good, sometimes an email is what you want, other times a text is perfect, and we all have phones, but there are other times when you need to get a message out instantly and you need to KNOW it was received. You'd think an IP based intercom system would be the easiest thing in the world to find, but guess what, it's not. In our office we used to waste irritating amounts of time trying to figure out who was at his/her desk and who could take a call. Our phone system could show if they were on the phone, but if not it was impossible to know if they were at their desks and available to take a call. What do you like best?

We thin the lack of volume on cellphones is an issue. when replacing the traditional UHF radio, my staff have reported not being able to hear in some situations. What do you like best?

The setup is easy once you go through the instructions. Your sales rep will actually talk you through setting up the first group if you ask. What do you like best?

The ability to have my staff have and use a familiar device that they always have on them has been a huge benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The biggest downside to Zello in our environment is largely that staff (myself included) often forget to sign off of Zello when they are off work or vacation, often resulting in undesired support calls from the channels they are assigned to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Prior to using Zello, we were utilizing a dedicated radio solution with an expensive to maintain repeater that did not fully cover the area in which we operate. Calls were often missed or unintelligible, and staff often would inadvertently leave their radios at their desk when going on a support call leaving them without a way to interact with the rest of the team when traveling around our service area.

Moving to Zello has resulted in the team always having a device capable of receiving calls, and has enhanced that communication by providing a way to send not only voice, but text and image files all within the same app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Zello has provided us with a big break when it comes to communications. Our team used to have radio comms to keep operations going, which was expensive, equipment had to be kept up and also range was an issue. What do you like best?

We use zello in a hospitality setting. We have around 130 users on our Zello@work server over many departments. We use a channel for each department. We have been using zello for years and have never had an extended outage. Service works perfectly on wifi and cell data. One of our favorite features is the ability to play back messages at any time. The app works well in the background as well as managing battery life. Addons like PTT buttons are easy to pair and use. Support is quick to respond when needed and bugs are fixed and the app updated regularly. There is almost no lag with messages being delivered either. Voice quality is top notch as well. What do you dislike?

Nothing too serious comes to mind. Sometimes there are bugs with the frequent updates that make quality of life go down, but never bring the operation to a halt. When brought up the bugs are fixed rather quickly though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
