**What do you like best about YouScan?**

Threads, honestly. This is literally what every client asks about these days. Around last fall it just suddenly took off in Kazakhstan — people started actually using it, leaving real feedback, writing complaints, having proper conversations. Especially our B2B clients' audiences. TikTok is entertainment, Threads is where people type out a whole paragraph about why their internet isn't working. YouScan covers it properly, which saves us a very awkward conversation with clients.
The API setup was actually way better than expected. We had this worry that if we connect multiple clients we'd hit some cap. Turns out it's account-wide, you just generate keys and that's it — however many integrations you need, you sort that on your end. 
And our CSM. She doesn't just respond, she actually goes and figures things out. Got something escalated to her manager for us when it needed to be. You don't always get that.

**What do you dislike about YouScan?**

Kazakh language in Conversation Insights. Would be great to get our language supported.

**What problems is YouScan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work with large clients — telecoms, big brands — where you're not just monitoring for one team. There's PR, there's customer service, there's the digital team, and they all need different things from the same data. YouScan lets us set that up once — different notification rules, different integrations, different relevance filters per department — and then it just runs. That's the core of what we need it to do.
It also saves us tons of time. We're a small team managing multiple enterprise accounts. If we had to manually sort through everything that gets collected, we couldn't do this work at the scale we do. The platform handles the volume, we handle the thinking.

**What do you like best about YouScan?**

We originally subscribed to YouScan for its TikTok data, this is where it helps us the most, but we have found it to be very useful with Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, and X data as well. We use a variety of listening tools in our work, depending on the client and the type of project but because TikTok has become so hard to ignore if you’re trying to understand how people talk about brands online, YouScan has proven essential to our work. So much conversation happens on TikTok first, so having access to this data makes our work easier.
Additionally, we’ve used YouScan for review data. That has been helpful on a few projects where social posts alone didn’t tell the full story. Reviews can reveal a different kind of user feedback, and aids our analysis alongside social conversations.
In general, we keep track of what platforms are building and improving on over time. Our work changes from project to project, so it helps when a tool keeps adding new features and expanding what it can do.

**What do you dislike about YouScan?**

Our team tends to do fairly deep analysis, and we usually combine several data sources together. Because of that, we often export data and work with it in other systems. Some built-in AI features are less important for our workflow since we’re already processing the information in other ways.
Another thing we noticed while testing visual logo detection is that it needs some careful setup. If a logo shape is very simple, it can sometimes match things that aren’t actually related. That’s not unusual for visual recognition tools, but it does mean you need to spend some time cleaning up the search.

Lastly, we have run into some challenges with the time required for historical collection. While timing can vary depending on the complexity or size of a topic, these inconsistencies can sometimes lead to analyses being completed down to the wire.

**What problems is YouScan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most of the work we do falls into a few patterns. Sometimes we analyze how conversation around a brand has changed over time while other times we monitor hot topics or viral content so clients can react quickly if something starts gaining traction online.
With YouScan granting us access to TikTok data, we are able to consistently stay on top of the latest trends and flag important conversations happening in the moment.  
In addition to looking at specific brands and products, we also use listening tools for exploratory research projects. For example, looking at how people talk about certain trends or topics online. Having these additional data sources makes our job of quantifying and analyzing trends infinitely easier.  
Overall, YouScan has become a tool essential to our analysis. It doesn’t replace everything else, but it fills some key gaps and grants us another way to understand what people are saying online.

**What do you like best about YouScan?**

We mainly use YouScan to monitor mentions of our organization as an NGO — to see where and how we’re being talked about, track media coverage, and stay on top of conversations around our work.

At the same time, it’s also really helpful for search. When we need to dig into specific topics, mentions, or trends, it makes it easy to find relevant discussions without manually going through tons of sources. So for us, it works both as a reliable monitoring tool and a solid way to explore what’s happening around our field.

**What do you dislike about YouScan?**

Honestly, there’s nothing major that stands out as a downside for us. It does what we need it to do — helps us track mentions of our NGO and keeps everything in one place.

**What problems is YouScan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

YouScan helps us solve a pretty basic but important problem — understanding how our NGO is represented in the public space without having to manually track dozens of sources.

Before using it, monitoring mentions, media coverage, and discussions around our work was very time-consuming and easy to miss things. Now everything is in one place, so we can quickly see where we’re mentioned, respond if needed, and understand the overall tone of conversations.

**What do you like best about YouScan?**

We contacted multiple news monitoring platforms looking for a possibility to collect news without keyword filter. Apparently all of them are focusing on brand monitoring and do not allow free scanning of selected channels. YouScan was our savior, providing possibility to monitor multiple channels without filters and browse tags freely afterwards. They number of sources they are connected to is amazing. Also, they have powerful filtering that you can set up either in UI or in a SQL-like manner. They even have AI that helps build filter queries. Not to mention powerful analytics and automated tracking of personas (celebrities, polititians etc.) It is also possible to offload data for additional analysis. Great tool that I highly recommend!

Haven't noticed any drawbacks so far. No dislikes

**What do you like best about YouScan?**

I use YouScan to work with digital reputation and market and political studies. What I like the most is its ease of use and how fast it is to find what matters. I love that we can find, filter information, and get what really matters quickly thanks to its powerful queries and the AI copilot. The conversation nodes view seems essential to me in my daily routine. I also appreciate its ability to cut through the noise in conversations about our clients. Additionally, the initial setup of YouScan is so easy that you can complete a client's setup in less than 1 hour. YouScan is the kind of ally you want to have in your business.

**What do you like best about YouScan?**

YouScan is a very smart, powerful platform. A good choice for media monitoring and analytics. In my opinion, it has advanced capabilities for both quick and advanced text data analysis. Wide coverage of different media and a high depth of historical data if professional retro analysis is required.  Very good  user-friendly interface. High-class customer service and technical support – quick and comprehensive feedback even on complex non-standard requests.

There are many different features that are not immediately obvious. :o) All you need to do is clearly define your goals and objectives. And even if you can't figure out how to achieve them, the highly expert support team will tell you what to do and how to do it using the platform.

Market analysis of user attitudes towards different brands, as well as an extension to quantitative sociological surveys

**What do you like best about YouScan?**

For us, as a research agency, the biggest value has always been the data itself.
The coverage is solid, and more importantly, it’s actually usable. We’ve worked with other platforms where either the data is too limited, or you technically have access but can’t really extract much from it without extra cost or complexity. YouScan is more straightforward, and the API is also a big plus. On certain projects it becomes really important, and it’s good to have something that actually works without too much friction.
Another thing, which I think is underrated, is the flexibility of the team. We don’t always have “standard” use cases — especially working with NGOs, where things can be a bit complicated. So having a team that is responsive and willing to adapt when something comes up makes a real difference.
It’s not just about the platform itself, but how easy it is to work together when things are not perfect

**What do you dislike about YouScan?**

In a lot of cases, our clients don’t go very deep into comparing platforms. They just look at the price and pick the cheaper option, so it’s sometimes hard to justify, even if the quality is better

**What problems is YouScan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, it’s mainly about having a reliable tool we can actually use across different projects.
We work with multiple countries and teams, often in quite complex environments, and we need something that gives us consistent data and flexibility in how we use it. YouScan covers that well.
It also helps when we need to go a bit further than basic monitoring — whether that’s pulling data via API, adapting to specific client requests, or just being able to trust that the data we’re working with is solid.
At the end of the day, that’s what matters most for us. The combination of good data + a team that is easy to work with is what makes the difference.

**What do you like best about YouScan?**

I use YouScan daily for social listening across multiple brands. It helps me monitor online conversations and track brand mentions efficiently. I really like its advanced listening capabilities, especially for TikTok. The visual query feature goes beyond captions to pick up on-screen text and spoken mentions, which gives a much deeper and accurate view of conversations. The system's ability to organize and segment large volumes of social data into actionable insights is really helpful. The tagging feature is also a big plus for structured analysis, allowing me to categorize content based on specific themes or needs.

**What do you dislike about YouScan?**

The tagging process can be quite manual, especially with large datasets, so more automation or smarter tagging would be useful. There's also room for improvement in the speed and ease of building queries, particularly for complex searches. I would like more flexibility before exporting, such as the ability to customize which data fields are included. Additionally, having more customization options for charts on the platform, like converting a pie chart into a bar graph or choosing between stacked versus unstacked views, would be great. I'd like to add more metrics or attributes, such as breaking sources down by social channel. There's a bit of a learning curve with the initial setup, as YouScan uses its own set of operators that differ from standard query systems.

One of the biggest strengths, in my opinion, is the ability to run different types of analysis thanks to such a large and well-structured database. You can easily customize your searches using a wide range of filters, which makes it easy to tailor the analysis to your needs and choose the level of depth and detail you’re looking for.

**What do you dislike about YouScan?**

One limitation, when it comes to research and analysis, is that Instagram posts are not picked up unless they include hashtags related to the topic being monitored, which can make it harder to capture conversations more fully on that platform.

**What do you like best about YouScan?**

The depth of the data and the scope of the sources is unlike anything other tool I've worked with before, and I have worked with many. It really is the closest thing to an all-in-one social media analysis tool I've come across to date.

The customer support is excellent, truly top-tier. Messages and emails are responded promptly, and the team is so open to feedback. It makes using the tool itself so much better to have this level of professional, timely support.

**What do you dislike about YouScan?**

The time it takes to collect historical data is extensive, and can put pressure on tight deadlines. I can't always factor in another day for history collection into a project, which means I need to collapse my work into a shorter period of time to compensate for the lengthy historical data collection.

**What problems is YouScan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to have to work with three different tools to cover all the social media platforms I needed, but because YouScan incorporates all social platforms in such depth, I can just work in one environment and build up a strong, nuanced social media tracking project in one place.
