**What do you like best about xtraCHEF?**

Nothing. Since Toast delete the inventory function xtrachef never got it together.

**What do you dislike about xtraCHEF?**

No customer support, I get a fast reply but with no resolution and I get a lot of "I escalate the issues you're facing to our engineering team"

**What do you like best about xtraCHEF?**

Easy for staff to inventory on mobile devices.

**What do you dislike about xtraCHEF?**

Bad data, very difficult to manage, not set up for multi -units. Shuts down for hours every Sunday night for updates, rendering the system useless for anyone that has to inventory a bar after closing.

Simplifies inventory taking for the management.

**What do you like best about xtraCHEF?**

Users can easily export invoices to Dynamics.

**What do you dislike about xtraCHEF?**

The issues are too numerous to describe. 

Correcting something as simple as a misassigned unit requires contacting support. 
XC frequently assigns the wrong vendor even with over 3 years of historical data. 
The program constantly makes typographical errors which creates an entirely new item, so we end up with multiples of the same item polluting the inventory list. 
Every single time we have an issue we have to contact the woefully inadequate support team who only offer an immediate fix without ever resolving the underlying issue, which equals hundreds of hours in back-and-forth emails with support and yet the same problems persist for over 3 years.

All of their positive reviews are from paid reviewers. How deceptive!

I recommend to anybody in the industry: avoid XC and go with another option.

**What problems is xtraCHEF solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It does save time compared to hand-writing out purchase orders for paper invoices. Other than that, not much. Disappointingly, I often find myself writing paper purchase orders just to avoid using XtraCHEF.

**What do you like best about xtraCHEF?**

Nothing really,  I see where it wants to be but it's not there.

**What do you dislike about xtraCHEF?**

No multi unit abilities.  The scan feature for invoices is inaccurate and causes more issues than helps. Customer support is terrible.  Essentially it's a lot of hours to build foe little rewards,  I have excel sheets that work better.

It does cost items OK in recipes

**What do you like best about xtraCHEF?**

The choices, integration and conversion of uploaded invoices, receipts and documents to suit the application's features. The application has a wide selection of objects from loading you receipt and documents to procurement and tabulation of your receipts. It's a dream come through for Sourcing, Procurement, Restaurants, and more industries can utilize this application.

**What do you dislike about xtraCHEF?**

I haven't found one yet. I will keep you informed.

Creating a single platform for operations.

**What do you like best about xtraCHEF?**

Nothing.  I mean nothing!  It simply doesn't work.

**What do you dislike about xtraCHEF?**

At the end of the day - it simply doesn't work.  We do everything we're supposed to do uploading invoices, verifying everything, setting UOM's, building recipes and the biggest problem we have is that unit costs are inaccurate - randomly, with no evidence of where the cost came from.  Support is about 50/50 fixing problems we spend tons of time documenting, describing and communicating but they are always fixed as 'one-offs'.  And they keep recurring.  Further, we're unable to find a basic report that would give us an exported list of items with associated costs to manually review for obvious errors.

**Recommendations to others considering xtraCHEF:**

Don't do it.

We've solved nothing we set out to solve after 6 months of trying.  Benefits are zero, costs out of control.

**What do you like best about xtraCHEF?**

xtraCHEF has allowed me to focus on other aspects of the business rather than spending time manually entering sales into my Accounting software. The coding is seamless and easy!

**What do you dislike about xtraCHEF?**

If a new product line is added, sometimes the sync will fail as the software doesnt understand where to flow those sales into. This is expected, but I wish they notified multiple times for sync's that fail, rather than just one time.

**What problems is xtraCHEF solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the problem of daily, constant manual entry for my sales reports. This software cuts out all that wasted time and allows me to focus on what is most important to my business.

Nothing. No phone service.  Assistance is poorly trained.

**What do you dislike about xtraCHEF?**

Everything. We have wasted months trying to get the system integrated with Toast and Quickbooks.  We waited weeks for email to set up a call that would have been 3:00 am for some of the team and assistance appears to be wrong.  I definitely would not have taken a penalty canceling Revel if I knew how much wasted time and money this would have been.  Feel free to call me 760-219-1089

**What do you like best about xtraCHEF?**

The features at a bargain price. The time saved with their document processing is multiplied when you use all the modules in their ecosystem.  The data scraped from your daily intake is immediately available for budgeting, inventory operations, price analytics, and automated accounting software import. We save countless hours, have razor sharp data, and can even manage payables with a few clicks of a mouse. They have streamlined restaurant processes without any sacrifice to data integrity or data resolution.  

After 2 weeks into our trial we were completely sold.  Beginning with their invoice scanning: the app is free for iOS and Android. Their team was able to extract all line items from a big Corp vendor invoice down to the hand written receipts from the small guys. 

The invoice data gets sanitized first by their team and then we have the option to check it on an approval screen before it gets committed.  The net result is pristine data that you can trust to be later picked apart and analyzed in other modules. 

The Quickbooks integration has been well thought out too. All invoice items are sorted in their correct groups on the GL as precise as you want. 

The UI/UX has been well thought out and makes “sense” when someone needs to run numbers down. 

Finally their development roadmap for future features is very organized and exciting. Their dev team doesn’t rush to market but releases features at light speed compared to other solutions we have looked into. 

We are extremely satisfied with their total offering. 

**What do you dislike about xtraCHEF?**

This is difficult to answer because of the 40 character minimum. I can wholeheartedly say that I am pleased with every facet thus far.   

**Recommendations to others considering xtraCHEF:**

Just try it. Scanning all invoices to have them broke down and available to use with their accuracy is great.  If you go further, it gets even better - reporting, price watcher, order from the system and it will dispatch to vendors.... many features for a low low price. 

**What problems is xtraCHEF solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our specific restaurant needed to be turned around. Jumping into a rescue situation like that requires information and speed. Xtrachef immediately gave me the information I needed to prioritize the areas we were to improve.  While you’re making a “game plan”, the “show must go on”.  Even during weekly operation we were able to track down slippage, change ordering habits, and renegotiate pricing. 

Without xtrachef those first issues  would’ve taken many employee hours and still probably would’ve been pushed later into the month. 

That’s just glossing over. To put it simply:  feed XTra the invoices, setup your budgets across your revenue centers, and see what shakes out.    

On the second week we ran our numbers, I saw 4 points fall out of our cogs.

xtraCHEF provides both customization and simplicity. While the platform is still being built out, I am confident that the platform will be a fully functional machine, adding value back to reporting.

**What do you dislike about xtraCHEF?**

The platform still lacks some components that other competitors have. Additionally, the long customized emails are a bit difficult to work with.

**What problems is xtraCHEF solving and how is that benefiting you?**

xtraCHEF is streamlining invoice collection, which ultimately allows for more accurate reporting and the ability to drill down.

The effortlessness of entering invoices and having journal entries get booked in quickbooks

**What do you dislike about xtraCHEF?**

The lack of an inventory count feature. I mean, they have an app...and the purchase data...there is so much potential here but currently we have to work outside the system 

**What problems is xtraCHEF solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had an Excel system in place to do what xtraCHEF does, but now I have a program that is essentially unbreakable and easier to understand / more user friendly, so I can hand off responsibilities to staff
