Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise Xcode for its seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem, which simplifies the development process for iOS and macOS applications. The all-in-one environment, featuring tools like the simulator and debugging capabilities, enhances productivity and streamlines workflows. However, many note that it can be resource-intensive, leading to slow performance on larger projects.

"Great Development Software"
What do you like best about Xcode?

I like how many shortcuts we have. Also the software is pretty stable compare to other IDE's that I've used in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xcode?

The problem that I face with Xcode is that there is not much integration with external software. Sometimes it's nice to be able to extend some of the existing features of Xcode. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Xcode is a Necessary Evil "
What do you like best about Xcode?

It's easy to download and takes care of it's own dependencies. It literally contains almost anything you need for scripting languages on a Mac, at the cost of size and speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xcode?

It's a bit of a pain that it's required for a lot of nonstandard development on a Mac, and you can't pick and choose what dependencies you need in order to make the download and update process faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not Bad But Not Like There's Any Other Options"
What do you like best about Xcode?

Xcode is relatively easy to setup and run a simple sample app. It's got pretty good debugging support, Version Control integration, and pretty good built-in simulator. All in all Xcode is a decent IDE, but definitely lack in some useful bells and whistles Java IDEs have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xcode?

It doesn't have usage search like Android Studios, which is used extensively. It is also extremely confusing when it comes to configuration for AppStore releases. The latter requires a high learning curve. it also takes up way too much Harddrive space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
