Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise Xcode for its seamless integration with the Apple ecosystem, which simplifies the development process for iOS and macOS applications. The all-in-one environment, featuring tools like the simulator and debugging capabilities, enhances productivity and streamlines workflows. However, many note that it can be resource-intensive, leading to slow performance on larger projects.

"A (mostly) necessary evil"
What do you like best about Xcode?

Basically.. Nothing. The autocomplete is pretty good, when the Swift compiler doesn't crash the entire application. Swift, however, is a fantastic language, I just wish the toolchain was much nicer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xcode?

Almost everything. If XCode was stable, didn't take hours to install, and didn't cause random kernel panic it would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great IDE"
What do you like best about Xcode?

The best feature is that there is no need to save before build. This is an very obvious feature.

The UI creation is great, and intuitive. Linking to the code is great.

The simulation is so much better than Android. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xcode?

The IDE binary is huge. Every time I changed computer, it needs time to download. Also there was some time that when I needed to post new build to App Store, the tool was broken Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
