Good... When It Works. **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Marlon H. | Founder & Executive Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2022 **What do you like best about TrueBill?** I like the ability to see and manage all of our bills in one place, with a nice & friendly user interface to go with it. **What do you dislike about TrueBill?** The one thing that annoys me the most is the fact that manually-inputted details about a subscription or bill do not always save, or stay as you entered it. Often, the expected (or actual) due date changes, even though it's supposed to be as another date (and manually corrected). Syncing bank accounts is glitchy sometimes as well. **What problems is TrueBill solving and how is that benefiting you?** Managing all bills & subscriptions shared between my wife & I, including my business subscriptions as well. ### 2. I think they have a wonderfully simple interface with great customer flow that easily leads you through the app. Their subscription tool is great and I love the ability to anonymize data so you can show peers the app without revealing your account balances. **What do you dislike about TrueBill?** Their transaction cleansing is trash. I use a few different apps and on one occasion I had a few different transactions from target and in TrueBill they were gibberish and a few of them were even different even know the vendor was the same. I know there are better providers for data cleansing and I'd imagine that sooner rather than later their make the switch. Some of the account connections aren't as good as other apps too. Plaid tends to have a bad reputation for account connections and I'd imagine that before long the TrueBill team will switch to a more reliable service like MX. **What problems is TrueBill solving and how is that benefiting you?** The smart savings tool is a cool idea for encouraging automated savings for a specific purpose. It makes it easy to set and forget but still feel productive. I also think the lower my bill feature is cool although admittedly I haven't used it for one of my bills yet. ### 3. The pie chart is also a cool visual. Everything is simple and meets your basic needs for tracking expenses. **What do you dislike about TrueBill?** It can be a little more intuitive and designed cleaner. It also unlinked my bank account so my current info is not accurate. I wish it were a little more in depth - would be great if you could also attach receipts within the app to have an all-in-one budget tracker. **Recommendations to others considering TrueBill:** The app itself is fine for basic needs, but I would also explore other options if you want something more intuitive.
