As a user, I like the simple screen snipping tool -- it makes remote collaboration very easy. I also like the small collection of animated emojis! **What do you dislike about Trillian?** There's not anything I dislike, actually. The tool serves our purposes perfectly. It is just simple enough to not clutter our work day with unnecessary distractions and yet has all the functionality we need **What problems is Trillian solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving the problem of quickly and efficiently working together across remote teams. We have developed communication processes centered around Trillian and group chats for each client that a team supports -- providing not only instant collaboration but also instant transparency to managers and secondary support folks. ### 2. It has a lot of permissions to configure so the IT department can configure any kind of type of users. The ability to create groups between colleagues and have total control of those groups so no one can leave if not authorized to, nor join if not authorized to plus the user administrated groups so they can make use of chats for team work. **What do you dislike about Trillian?** In fact I don't dislike anything of it, I have more like feature requests that I have posted to Trillian, and they listen... I think they can improve the way search chat history works, sometimes it is a little bit slow, although it works. **Recommendations to others considering Trillian:** If you would like to have full control of the internal communications between your employees and give them the perfect tool for communicating instantly without compromising privacy nor let them use public chats for private business issues (eg. Whatsapp, messenger...) Then, Trillian it is. **What problems is Trillian solving and how is that benefiting you?** Communication between colleagues in the organization, better and faster responses to clients and suppliers. I have reduced the need of face to face meetings letting my employees dedicate more time to work and less time to be in non productive meetings. ### 3. It is simple, user-friendly and extremely easy to get an organization setup. The features for business are fantastic and have helped shape our internal collaboration! Some of our clients have also signed up to interact with us through the Trillian federation. Anything that allows free users to be utilized is a win! That fact that it supports OSX and Windows is fantastic! **What do you dislike about Trillian?** We wish there were even more features around business such as; chat history search, external integrations and eDiscovery. We would love it to perform more like other products as it pertains to file attachments, team orgs, and SMS / email-to-chat functionality. Video chat and screen sharing would be a great addition as well! We'd love a Chrome extension or support for Chromebooks. **Recommendations to others considering Trillian:** The founder is still heavily involved in development and product roadmap. This shows in everything that is released. We've had little to no downtime and haven't had an issue working with the product ever. It's a fantastic offering at a reasonable price! **What problems is Trillian solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've been able to setup internal collaboration efforts as well as completely replace Skype for business. In addition to internal efforts, we've been able to utilize Trillian for client communications and real-time updates. We're in the process of figuring out how to utilize SMS via Trillian which would allow us to communicate with our field reps in real-time without the need for additional apps or complication. ### 4. It's a closed loop where you can chat to only other employees of the company. It helps the business run smoother and it prevents distractions from personal contacts. It is critical to communicate with employees on the field as well as other branches. Trillian allows us to see who is at work and who isn't and we can share files straight from the client. The ability to draw and send a screenshot is invaluable. We also love being able to make custom groups of people so you can make chats for a particular group of employees even if they're not a designated team. I love that communication end to end is encrypted. We couldn't live without Trillian. **What do you dislike about Trillian?** Literally there is nothing to dislike. The only thing that used to annoy me was the sorting options but the latest version fixed that. **Recommendations to others considering Trillian:** Look no further. Trillian is just that. It sits off to the side of my desktop, ready to work but not bothering me until I have to talk to someone. I also like that as admin I can easily control my users. **What do you dislike about Trillian?** I would like to be able to admin from the app and not have to go on the website. **What problems is Trillian solving and how is that benefiting you?** My building is several hundred feet long, and old. We do have phones, obviously, but many of our communications don't need to interrupt the workflow and are short enough not to need an email.
