What I like most about CyberSmart is how simple and user-friendly it is, even for non-technical users. It makes it easy to stay on top of security requirements with clear guidance and automated checks, which saves a lot of time. The platform provides practical, actionable recommendations rather than just highlighting issues, helping us improve our security posture.

I occasionally see false positives, and they then need to be reviewed manually.

CyberSmart helps solve the problem of keeping IT systems secure and compliant without needing a full-time cybersecurity team. It identifies risks, highlights vulnerabilities, and guides you through fixing them, which reduces the chance of data breaches or misconfigurations. It also makes cybersecurity more manageable and less intimidating, especially for small teams or businesses.

**What do you like best about CyberSmart?**

I like how CyberSmart has evolved over the past year or two, transforming from just being a solution for certification to incorporating active monitoring, patching, and vulnerability management which makes it more effective. The addition of a cyber insurance feature, once certified, is a nice touch as it opens up conversations in a growing market. The policy management against compliance standards is valuable, even if it's not solely for Cyber Essentials, as it can be applied to ISO 27001 or NIST, among others. It's also very easy to get started with CyberSmart, with minimal friction during setup, which is important for us and our customers. The clear documentation and FAQ boost our confidence in using the platform.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

I certainly think that the cyber awareness training could do with a bit more fleshing out. Potentially a little bit more integration with things like Microsoft 365, maybe covering phishing simulation tests. The phishing simulation training could be a great addition and do even more. Probably a broader thought about adding other certification schemes into that platform rather than just focusing on one.

**What problems is CyberSmart solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find CyberSmart makes the certification journey easier for customers by simplifying the framework and monitoring the IT environment to identify problem areas, saving time and hassle.

**What do you like best about CyberSmart?**

I find CyberSmart's portal easy to use, which is crucial for managing multiple clients' certifications and renewals. I love that I can submit answers as many times as needed, which takes a lot of stress out of doing the certifications. Having an account manager to talk through any issues is really useful. The initial setup of CyberSmart was very easy for our team.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

Every single assessment comes back from auditors asking for more information, and often the issues raised are already explained in our answers. It feels like we can never refine our answers across clients' assessments, as different auditors interpret them differently, which delays the assessment by a day or so while we wait for their next response.

**What problems is CyberSmart solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CyberSmart to manage multiple clients' certifications easily. The portal's simplicity and ability to submit multiple responses for certifications reduce stress, and having an account manager helps to resolve issues efficiently.

**What do you like best about CyberSmart?**

I like how quick CyberSmart is to respond, whether it's through the instant chat feature or emails. Everyone is always polite and helpful, which means I can resolve issues from my clients in good time. As I act as a middleman, I never have to waste time chasing anything, as I know that issues I raise or questions will be resolved often the same day or at least within 48 hours.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

Sometimes the auditors can cause confusion, especially when clients submit their questionnaire after making amendments, and then new answers are opened that were previously accepted. This raises questions about how objective or subjective the auditors are being, leading to client frustration.

**What problems is CyberSmart solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CyberSmart to help field client queries that I'm unable to answer, it's handy to have everything in one place in a neat platform, use and set up is easy to use with clients rather than having to make our own.

**What do you like best about CyberSmart?**

I use CyberSmart to help both myself and my customers with achieving their CyberEssentials. CyberSmart organizes each device in an easy-to-read list, clearly outlining which devices need action and provides a detailed outline on the issues and how to resolve them. I like that it not only outlines and organizes any issues but also tells you the steps to remediate the issue. CyberSmart also has a very helpful feature to automatically update any outdated apps on the devices with just a click of a button, which is easier compared to our RMM that would require more setup. The initial setup was effortless, as CyberSmart provided a direct download link to the installer needed for each device. It was easy to push a script through our RMM to download and install the application on all devices, whether Windows or MAC.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

If I implement a fix, it does not update on CyberSmart immediately. This makes sense because the device can't be scanning every second of the day. However, I would appreciate a button to manually rescan the device to check if my fix has resolved the issue. Currently, after attempting to resolve an issue, I have to wait a few hours or even overnight to know if it's been fixed. If I could click a button and confirm right away, it would save me a lot of time.

I use CyberSmart to achieve CyberEssentials, manage vulnerabilities, and avoid mistakes. It organizes devices, outlines issues, and provides step-by-step solutions. It even updates outdated apps with a click, which is easier than my RMM.

I like that CyberSmart is straightforward and easy to use. The platform makes it clear what actions need to be taken, and the dashboard gives a good overview without being overwhelming. It’s helpful having continuous monitoring rather than just a one-off certification, and the guidance provided is practical and easy to follow. Overall, it makes managing compliance and security feel much more manageable.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

Sometimes the alerts can feel a bit repetitive, especially when I’m already aware of an issue and actively working on it. It would also help if some of the remediation guidance were more detailed or better tailored, since it can occasionally come across as fairly generic. Aside from those points, the platform works well overall.

**What problems is CyberSmart solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CyberSmart makes it easier to manage cybersecurity compliance and ongoing monitoring. Rather than manually checking devices, policies, and configurations across different places, it brings everything together in a single platform and automatically flags issues. This saves time and lowers the chance that something important gets missed. It also helps me demonstrate compliance to clients and stakeholders, which builds trust and makes audits far easier to handle.

**What do you like best about CyberSmart?**

It is a comprehensive system that assists in getting multiple users at multiple companies compliance with Cyber Essentials, and reduces the workload compared to doing it manually. It is easy to use and is reliable.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

Only a couple of pain points which are: 
- The CyberSmart software requires admin rights to install. This is a huge pain, particularly when installing for lots of users, as have to co-ordinate times to do it. 
- When the assessments are submitted, the assessors always find something which is fair enough. However, once that is corrected and it goes back for re-assessment, the next assessor always finds something different, which is extremely frustrating. Surely they should all be equal and therefore find the same things without having to re-submit 3 times. This is the most infuriating part of the process.

Helping us to get clients Cyber Essentials certified and cutting down the workload by automating a chunk of it.

CyberSmart have a great team who are helpful and realistic with CE and CE+. I can speak to them at any time, not just when completing an audit, to get their guidance and opinion on things. It is really useful to have the team to run things by to make sure they meet the right standards before we work on them.

I do think the CE+ audits are quite alot of money really, when you consider the length of time that they actually take.

The guidance on the form around common pitfalls is invaluable. When something doesn’t quite make sense or I need a bit more help, the support team is always just a click away on chat and has never let me down. The features included with Active Protect now are also really useful (patching, etc.), and it’s something we use for all of our Cyber Essentials customers. Deploying the app is easy through Intune.

There really is nothing to dislike about CyberSmart.

**What do you like best about CyberSmart?**

I like that CyberSmart is good to partner with and how the chief security officer, Malcolm Diack, is on the partner advisory board. They definitely listen to the MSP community and have obviously good products. They are the country's leading certification provider, and things like their partner portal and how they work with partners in terms of marketing development funds and general content is really good. Their willingness to work together with us stands out, and we did some co-branding material, which helped me in terms of a sales campaign to win new clients.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

Nothing from a Sales Perspective but I'm sure there would be product improvement that could be worked on.

**What problems is CyberSmart solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CyberSmart helps our clients achieve their baseline of Cyber Essentials and CE Plus certification. Their partner collaboration and co-branding materials enhance our sales campaigns, helping us win new clients.

We've found CyberSmart to be very easy to deploy and provide the information required to ensure our clients' systems are up to date and compliant. The other benefit is how quickly we can get a client from no accreditation to fully compliant.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

Sometimes CE+ can take a little longer due to requiring an assessor to review the application, but it doesn't take too long. You just have to be realistic about the timescale.

**What problems is CyberSmart solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You get a lot for your money. Cost-effective analysis of the network, reports, training, PC/laptop monitoring, mobile device protection, WiFi scanning. It's about peace of mind and knowing you're safe.

The portal is easy to navigate. From the partner dashboard I can see a clear overview of our organisations scores and when there CE/CE+ is due to expire which is really helpful.

Whilst the portal is easy to navigate, there is a lot of things on display which can make it feel cluttered

Cybersmart helps us stay on top of cyber essentials requirements. We get notifications via email when an upcoming certificate is due to expire instead of having to track everything manually which has helped reduce the risk of missing something important when it's time for renewal.

**What do you like best about CyberSmart?**

I like how CyberSmart easily lets me look across the network to see what issues we have. The new patch management feature is very useful in getting applications on devices up to date without needing to be in front of the PCs. It's a real time saver, since we no longer have to physically update machines or remotely access them and it picks up pending updates quickly, reducing the need to review patches as much.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

The mobile app doesn't seem to remain open all the time, meaning the device doesn't check in, causing false positives on failures. Also, the install instructions for group policy have yet to work for me.

CyberSmart ensures devices are secured and compliant across the network, assists with certification, and saves time with patch management, allowing remote updates without on-site access.

The CyberSmart app makes it easy to monitor user devices and servers for vulnerabilities and compliance. The new CSVM tool has further improved our efficiency in addressing device vulnerabilities, not only by clearly highlighting issues, but also by providing detailed insights and recommended remediation steps.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

Sometimes the CSVM tool can be buggy but the CyberSmart support team are on hand to assist or provide additional information that is not being reported.

Identifying current and emerging vulnerabilities on user devices, enabling us to address issues promptly, maintain a secure working environment for our customers, and safeguard company resources.

**What do you like best about CyberSmart?**

I really appreciate the simplicity of the CyberSmart GUI, but the main reason for my positive review is that everything works exactly as it should. The Vulnerable Software feature is really useful as it actively monitors the software installed on my fleets devices and alerts me when updates are required.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

Not being able to hide Security Control messages is a bit annoying. It would be better to have a “Hide” button or an “Acknowledge error” option.

We no longer have to worry about outdated software being targeted through known vulnerabilities, because CyberSmart monitors this for us.

I really like CyberSmart's Active Protect because it helps us stay compliant with CE and streamlines the certification process by pulling through the data into the questionnaire with just a click. The availability of CE experts is fantastic; they're always there to answer any technical questions I have about CE. I appreciate the provision for unlimited CE questionnaire submissions. The booking process for CE+ audits is straightforward and well-outlined, making the whole procedure easy to navigate. The initial setup of CyberSmart was very straightforward and streamlined for my team, and overall, it's been a valuable tool for us.

Sometimes the same answers can be rejected/accepted, based on who audits the certification. Account managers could review answers that are going to be the same across all organisations, and set this as an accepted answer.

CyberSmart is solving the problem of people and businesses not fully understanding how to protect themselves online. With cyber threats constantly evolving, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or unaware of the risks. I like CyberSmart for its ease of use and the ability to manage processes on a single platform. I appreciate the resources available, the portal, and the support from the account manager. I can find answers to my questions quickly and get quick responses, which is key for me. The initial setup was very straightforward.

I find the clarity around which product is the right fit a bit challenging, especially since not all products fit within the client budget or some could seem like overkill.

From an end user perspective the dashboard, questions and feedback mechanisms are all great but totally irrelevant from an MSP perspective.  We manage and deliver CE+ accredited environments to our customers - they don't care what mechanisms we use.

**What do you dislike about CyberSmart?**

Accounts invoicing annually by invoice date.  It can take a customer up to 90 days to achieve CE+ and so the renewal date should be moved forwards   - we've lost several customers because of it.

nothing that I don't get form other providers.

I use CyberSmart for putting our clients through cyber essentials, and I really like its simplicity. It's a quick and easy way to manage my clients' renewals for CE. Adding new clients is very easy and intuitive with CyberSmart. The initial setup was also very easy.

They send a lot of emails to me. I have had to create a CyberSmart spam folder.

**What do you like best about CyberSmart?**

I like that I can manage all my clients in a single portal with CyberSmart. The assessor features are really helpful to assist our clients in gaining accreditations. The unlimited resubmissions are a significant advantage over going direct to IASME or other providers. The feedback from the CyberSmart assessor team is invaluable for guiding our clients to get the certifications they need.

Customer service has been patchy, but i think we now have a good new account maanger, would like better support on calls for enterprise clients to walk through the audit process, as this tends to be their key concern, getting quotes in the past with additional things on there that i didnt ask for is unnecessary.

It sometimes says the user accounts are local accounts when they aren't. It looks to flag this when an admin has to enter their details to use elevated permissions.

We had raised issues with Active Protect in regards to conflicts with Patch Management, this was resolved.  We also raised issues with how it reports issues and how it could integrate with ConnectWise PSA but haven't really got anywhere with this.
