We also appreciate how quickly new features and updates are rolled out, often directly addressing our needs. **What do you dislike about Toca.io?** Because the platform is so flexible, it can sometimes be easy to overcomplicate builds, making delivery more challenging. Additionally, since it’s a new and evolving product, updates and changes occasionally require us to revisit and adjust our solutions. The pace of delivery is immense, allowing you to test features fast, deliver rapid value and bring smiles to the faces of your customers. The team are enormously supportive, highly- skilled and adaptive to feedback. The broad range of available functions, capabilities and activities is impressive. I've been building solutions for years (too many), from coding to product owning and delivery at scale in large enterprises globally. However, nothing I had seen until now allowed for such simple delivery of enterprise-level systems with relative ease. The ability to deliver a solution end to end in a couple of days exists... to my mind, for many, gone are the days when a business has to write code for their own operations... you can cutomise Toca.io to an extremely detailed level which I have found lacking with many other no/low code solutions! **What do you dislike about Toca.io?** The initial learning curve is quite steep for a beginner. Still, with a specific mission/use case and a few hours, the core application logic becomes more apparent to you. Then it's a bit more about linking objects with variables in a friendly interface. **What problems is Toca.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** As someone who has worked in banking on large projects, process development has been a significant part of my remit. Through the years, having used VB, VBA, .NET, MS Access, SQL, amongst many other things, I wanted to see something accessible to the business-facing power user as a single product online. Nothing was on the market for years, and then some low-code drag-and-drop solutions appeared. I've used many of them, and they have been great for my career, delivering tactical and ad hoc solutions to the banking and hospitality industries speedily. These products have been limited though! What I see now with Toca.io is an ability for me to develop further something I believe I am good at, but now I have few to no limits based on the tech being flexible enough to provide the support. It's an exciting place to be! ### 4. Most notably, I can go straight from a customer call - one where they say, "I was wondering about whether we could..." - to the Toca platform, plug into the relevant APIs, build a quick UI, and deploy it within hours of the call. My ability to go back to the client and say, "Hey, not only was this possible - but here's a demo of the kind of thing we can do, and the speed at which we can do it" is wild. Tt sets the bar for customer service very high - and is simply unmatched by the high-code environments I'm used to operating. **What do you dislike about Toca.io?** The challenge I find with low-code development environments is the hybrid model forced by the inherent nature of the mixed no/high code environment. I'm building complex applications on the Toca platform, which means that I hit the ceiling of "no code' pretty early on - and found myself writing my own react UI and C# backend componentry. In it's simplest form it is designed to solve actual business problems in a very easy way. The toca team take time to undestand the business needs, don't over sell (they dont need to as the product sells itself) and really work to help you create value in your own org. The speed that low code apps can be put together and released is stunning means you can get value very quickly and don't need to wait months to train people, integrate a platform which really builds momentum quickly. The team are experts, super helpful and really put the customer at the heart of what they do. They're ability to take a high level design and quickly develop something tangible that you can see and use is great at getting solutions in place quickly. The Toca developers themselves are very accomodating, open to suggestions and changes, and efficient in their delivery of user stories. Whilst our development isn't finished, I can say that development has been at pace and has certainly met the needs of our developing requirements. **What do you dislike about Toca.io?** I like to work with suppliers that are accomodating, agile and want to help us pro-actively deliver a solution that meets our needs; aiding us through that journey if required. Toca meets that need. I have worked with supplier in the past that are resistant to any change & will only deliver what was defined up front, even if through development changes to requirements are identified. Large suppliers are less interested in customers and more interested in margin or simply expanding without any form of collaboration, often with an inferior product. **What do you dislike about Toca.io?** I don't have any negatives. From my point of view the experiences have all been very positive. I like to work with suppliers I can trust and they tick that box. **What problems is Toca.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** With the lack of resources often being a challenge especially with the demands for software developers then being able to use a low code platform to alter the engagement model between IT and business users. The power of this platform is astounding, it has integrations with core windows applications, cloud platforms, image and OCR, data extraction and manipulation etc. - anything a person on the computer can do, Toca can replicate and do hundreds of thousands of times when you set up the automations. Amazing! **What do you dislike about Toca.io?** The only thing I might improve would be relying on a queue-based system; however, you can easily scale and get around this by assigning multiple bots to projects. **What problems is Toca.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** Toca allows someone with no coding knowledge to create complex systems quickly and easily, which would otherwise take months of architecting and building from software engineers, while also providing flexibility for programmers using the software to create even more powerful automation. You can create an activity which does pretty much anything. As I come from a developer background with no experience with no-code/low-code platforms, I found it helpful to have the possibility to execute Python code as well. In addition, whenever I encountered a problem, the Toca team were helpful and quickly answered all my questions. **What do you dislike about Toca.io?** While working on a Timesheet app prototype, I found the Apps side of Toca not stable enough/lacking features. The Toca automation side was faultless. Having worked a few weeks with Toca, I feel video tutorials about advanced concepts would be helpful. **What problems is Toca.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** Toca can help automate a lot of internal tasks. The tool itself is excellent and has so many possibilities to automate so many activities and workflows. I quite like the smooth release process of new actions/features. The new community/learning resource Toca are launching looks like an excellent place to get started and definitely addressed some of the things that took me a while to learn at the start. **What do you dislike about Toca.io?** To take full advantage of the Toca tool I feel that a background in programming is needed, you can do everything with the low-code/no-code, but understanding some programming logic and order of operations has definitely allowed me to use the tool to its full extent, while previous attempt at my organization were not as successful because they lacked a programming background. Having said that, my programming background is not extensive at all and is mainly built from a couple of months taking courses in my spare time, so you could still do a lot of things even without any programming background you just might need to go to the Toca support which is super easy to do. **What problems is Toca.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Toca to automate some administration activities for the configuration and set-up of our application tenant, which saves us time doing the configuration manually and eliminates a chunk of our error risks. Our flagship use for Toca is interacting with out own Public API via uploading a file into Toca and having that file formatted into JSON objects and sent to the Public API one at a time. ### 15. It involves mutiple handoffs between departments with no embedded workflow to help us route the process. It can be equally useful for automating simple monotonous manual tasks as it can to create highly complex workflows or apps with little to no prior coding experience. Some of the most impressive features of Toca include its flexibility for API use and its capability to easily integrate with the likes of Microsoft Azure, Dropbox, etc. While the tool itself is touted as a no-code solution, those with programming experience will be able to expand their field of possibility with features such as JSON manipulation, Selenium/Python/C# scripting, and an advanced Data Processor that can fine-tune any task. What's more, any actions that don't already exist to achieve a user's desired outcome can be designed from scratch using the Toca Development Kit, which feeds back into the activity they are working on. Further to this, the team behind Toca.io are fantastic at offering time and guidance to those that require it. It is clear that use of Toca Automation and Apps is designed with the user experience in mind, and feature updates and streamlines have proven to be heavily reliant not just on testing but also on user feedback. **What do you dislike about Toca.io?** The only downside currently to Toca had been a lack of resources on how to use the tool effectively - however, this is currently in the process of being addressed through their own internal Community page, which offers both documentation and courses that are delivered in an easy-to-understand manner and can be worked on at a user's own pace. **What problems is Toca.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** Currently, we are expending a lot of time and manpower on repetitive tasks that involve gathering data for use in our internal analysis. Using Toca Automation, we have the capability to cut this down such that we can run these workflows outside of business hours and on a regular schedule. This means that an employee is no longer regularly spending a whole working day gathering this data, while also mitigating the human error factor. Toca Apps follows a similar vein. In 2 approximately 2 hour sessions the Toca consultants had whipped together an Apps project which is used everyday. **What do you dislike about Toca.io?** To get the most out of this tool a programming background is required. However, the low/no-code portion is equipped to do a lot, so much so, we are yet to use anything outside of low/no-code. **What problems is Toca.io solving and how is that benefiting you?** Firstly, we use Toca's Automation to download files from web browsers, SFTPs and emails. Then Toca reformats the name of the downloaded files. After this Toca upload's the files into our shared storage space. It was built in Python, and in my spare time, with a bit of tinkering here and there, the app was completed to a point it was usable in about four working days. I worked with an engineer at Toca and the same app with a front-end website deployed was completed in approx. 22 minutes. Low code is truly here, it is valuable and I was beyond impressed with Toca. Annoyingly I hadn't completed the web front end yet so they actually took my idea to the next level in 22 minutes... needless to say, I'm still chewing through the humble pie. **What do you dislike about Toca.io?** Hard to give any major negatives at the moment as some are from a tech deployment point of view that may not be relevant to platforms such as Toca. The only thing that could be dealt with is integration into CI/CD pipelines.
