TINYpulse Engage Reviews & Product Details

TINYpulse Engage Overview

What is TINYpulse Engage?

We invented real-time pulsing for employee feedback because customers said traditional engagement tools are overly complex, take too long to administer and become a bottleneck between collecting and taking action on employee feedback – often taking months or work for an annual survey. For 2020, we’ve extended our platform beyond our best in class Pulsing technology. Now you can have a single platform that for engagement, social recognition, flexible surveys, full survey library – with Pulsing. The benefit is a single solution for everyone at your company to easily, and quickly get and give actionable feedback in real-time. Unlike alternative tools that use the traditional model, we built our platform around easy to use, real-time pulsing and being a safe place to give feedback.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

What do you like best?

Honestly there is not much I DON'T like about TINYpulse Engage. Two of the most compelling aspects of TINYpulse are: How easy it is to navigate and use, as an administrator and as an employee participant; and How TINYpulse is consistently improving upon their platform and tool to make the experience more robust, relevant, and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The only thing I dislike is that we don't have the capacity organizationally to really leverage TINYpulse to its fullest. While it is easy to use, there are aspects and features within the system that take strategy and coordination (in other words - time! :)) to do really well. We're not there yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

One of the biggest problems we are solving, that was revealed in an Employee Engagement Survey a few years ago, is creating the space for our employees' voices to be heard. We currently have about 800 employees and TINYpulse offers a way for all of those people to contribute to our culture, to how we change and evolve, to identifying challenges and how to solve them. What do you like best?

TINYpulse is very easy to use. People seem to like giving each-other positive feedback and cheers through it. The regular, quick surveys are something I do appreciate, as well as being able to compare our results to industry baselines. It's nice that there is a possibility to add a gif-reaction to cheers, which gives an easy-going twist to it all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Rarely, some people would just vent anonymously and it is hard to take the next step in solving their issue if they decide to not cooperate. It's a rather rare occasion, and it's not necessarily a problem of the product itself, but it's something to have in mind. Still, it's much better to see that there is a problem and try to figure it out than not knowing about it at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Start with cheers, and then add regular questions to the mix. Decide which questions matter the most and look at how your scores behave over time, in order to adjust your management style and find problems early. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're regularly measuring the engagement and happiness of our employees in an unobtrusive way and TINYpulse happiness score has become one of the measures we look at on a quaterly basis. We compare measures to previous periods. We use it for giving cheers and positive reinforcement when outstanding work is being done. In due time people started sending cheers to each-other and this is one of the things that help create a positive culture in our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like the easy layout and the weekly Pulse cadence. Makes it fast and easy for employees to give ongoing feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

We were apparently a beta client for the baseline survey, which I was not aware of. There have been some flaws in the rollout including a change in rating systems which makes comparing progress difficult. Our customer service team did work with us to re-calculate original responses to the new scale but it took months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our employees were asking for a feedback mechanism such as an engagement survey so implementing TP has fulfilled that need. There is also frequent use of Cheers for Peers, which is great to see. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Anonymous suggestions. It give people confidence to suggest things they may normally not in a open forum.

The pulse survey is a close second. Again allows me to feel valued as a employee and engage with the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Cheers feed can sometimes be a drag to search through. Would be useful to have a filter on certain person or from a certain person on my own cheers received. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I’ve mentioned this but the problem of people to being comfortable to make a suggestion is completely eradicated.

This has allowed me personally to feel more valued as I have seen some of my suggestions discussed, implemented and improve the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Not a dislike, but do wish there were quick help videos inside Tiny Pulse... When I took over TinyPulse for our firm, i had to learn a lot on my own, but it would have been nice to have a training (maybe TinyPulse does and I don't know about it). I have been a little frustrated because I don't feel like I utilize TinyPulse to the maximum for our firm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

TINYpulse Suggestions have streamlined our internal communication, helped us build trust between employees and management and added accountability across the entire organization. Employees understand that they are accountable for voicing their ideas or concerns if they want to see change and management is accountable for taking action on the submissions. When a win is achieved, we see improvement in our SOPs and an increase in trust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The "Pulse" interface within their app constantly defaults to pulses from when we first started using TINYpulse which is frustrating. I also wish it integrated with our RingCentral chat. Additionally, I wish users had the option to notify team members when a new suggestion was submitted or some sort of option to generate a weekly report to users with new suggestions so that they can weigh in on them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I highly recommend this product and for those who do implement it, I highly recommend fully training all administrators and manager users to ensure you are maximizing feature use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

TINYpulse cheers help us bridge the gap between engaging in-office personnel, as well as remote employees. TINYpulse Suggestions help us solve issues related to not only company culture/employees' everyday feedback, but also issues with our technology that we use within the organization. When problems arise, our employees utilize the suggestions as a sort of "ticketing system" in order to ensure action is taken. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like that it allows us to reach out to teams to see what is working well and what is not. Providing the anonymity to give feedback and make improvements that help boost the morale around the office. We are able to be open with our supervisors and that has helped them to make changes around the office that make us feel heard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Anonymous seems to be somewhat relative, when you are a small company it can be somewhat easy to figure out who is who and we had a lot of push back when we first introduced TinyPulse to our company. People were afraid to share exactly what they wanted to of fear of it being traced back to them. There is not a whole lot TP can do about people's personalities coming out in their comments, but it would be nice if there was another way to mix it up for those who don't believe u s when we say it is anonymous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would say the bigger your company the more impactful this site will be. We are not as small as we used to be so I really like this approach when it comes to sharing and suggesting. I feel heard in a company that is floating around only 100 people, I would imagine it would be even better if you felt little or unheard in a company of 500. TinyPulse keeps us aware of our interaction with our teams, outside of our own peripheral vision. Looking forward for both ourselves and our group as a whole. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have created a culture committee to be liaisons between the TinyPulse suggestions and the company actions. This has given people who may not be as comfortable commenting or suggesting things an alternative method to reach out. Each team has their own representative and about once a week all representatives get together to share, suggest and problem solve. Both little and big concerns around the office have been adressed. From IT and program downloads, to team building suggestions all the way up to time-off additions! We have a great "wall of wins" to remind us how far we have come since we began using TP. What do you like best?

I've really enjoyed using the "Cheers" feature, being able to recognize others on the team for going above and beyond. I think a lot of people on the team enjoy this, both being able to give "shout outs", as well as receiving acknowledgment of having done something exceptional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I don't often answer the weekly questions. If I feel that I can't say anything positive, then I won't answer. All responses are supposed to be anonymous but I've never completely trusted it, so I don't feel comfortable saying something negative and then having that attributed to me. (There isn't anything to have ever suggested that management knows who said what; it's just me being suspicious). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I think TinyPulse works really great for a remote team to make sure you are able to keep people engaged and measure the general mood and attitude of the team. Even for teams that aren't working remotely, I think using features like "Cheers" allows people to both recognize and be recognized publicly for a job well done, which I think a lot of businesses don't emphasize. And using the surveys allows you to surface any concerns so that you can get ahead of any issues before they become a serious problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I think it helps keep team members engaged and contributes to an overall team spirit and camaraderie. Most of our team works remote so having things like Cheers helps keep people feel like they are part of a team, not an isolated employee. And getting the information from the weekly questions helps management stay on top of any issues or address any concerns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

While the ongoing feedback from our employees is helpful to our organization, it can seem overwhelming to the employees at times to be constantly receiving questions. We've updated our question cadence to every two weeks to help address this concern from our employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
