The Content Editor. In the past, writing exceptional content was an incredibly manual process. You'd need a spreadsheet of keywords you wanted to include, the number of instances of each keyword, and nothing but a good guess at where the keyword should be used (i.e. in H1, H2s, etc). Surfer removes this manual element of content creation. Start typing and you'll see the Content Score move in real time as you complete words or add them in the right places or right densities. It's not really a grumble - but for more advanced users, it might be useful to have more granular information available in the Content Editor. For instance, the Content Editor will give you an ideal number of instances of a particular keyword - but when you've finished your page copy and uploaded it to your site, you might find that there are additional factors that need your attention. Honestly though, this eye for detail is what seperates a good Surfer writer and an excellent Surfer writer - so having to go back and tweak on-page elements beyond the Content Editor isn't really a problem ;) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
