"Spreedly connects you to a world of payment options"

What do you like best?

Spreedly provides a normalized and extremely secure API to hundreds of payment providers. The API focuses around storing secured and portable credit card tokens, which facilitates a large number of SaaS use cases, including re-selling, subscriptions, and online sales. The secured off-site payment options allows for simplifying security concerns and is easy to customize. With Spreedly, we are able to provide thousands of retailers with a vast set of choices of payment systems, with the ability to securely save payment details for one-time and subscription purchases.

What do you dislike?

The backend Spreedly dashboard is a bit simplified for the larger SaaS cases, but Spreedly has been growing quickly to solve for many of the needs we have identified over the years we've used their service.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Some complexities with changes in gateways (reduced lead time), and customizations between a small number of gateways are not well documented.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Spreedly to allow our own customers to connect to a large number of payment providers in a secured and managed fashion. We have been able to migrate large retailers into our system, preserving their customers' payment settings, as well as migrating existing retailers between various payment methods without disruption. This allows us to give our retailers a great deal of choice of payment provider, which allows for tuning their business as they see fit.

"One Stop for All Payment Platforms"

What do you like best?

We love how easily and thoroughly Spreedly integrates with all of our available payment options. The implementation team we worked with made the transition from our old provider to Spreedly fast and easy.

We are moving from offering credit card only payments to offering our customers many options and we looked for the most secure and well regarded tool we could find. Spreedly was the best choice for us.

What do you dislike?

The cost of Spreedly is a little high at first, but over time this was more than made up for. There are always growing pains when moving to a more advanced platform. We spent quite a bit of time transitioning our internal team from our old tool to Spreedly. Now that we are up and running, there are really no issues, but the initial retraining was a bit complex.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are a growing business with a customer base that needs to keep up with the security and options that your customers want, than switching to Spreedly could be right for you. Spreedly may not be right for many POS customers and smaller companies, however.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Spreedly allows us to offer many more payment options to our customers. As I mentioned above, we previously were only offering credit card payment on our site. We are now opening this up to Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Paypal and others. We are also looking at subscription services and Spreedly allows for that as well.

"Simple, reliable and wonderful"

What do you like best?

After looking at various options, Spreedly was a no-brainer, both in terms of price and ease of use. As a multi-brand company that cross-sells across websites, we needed an effective, reliable method of splitting payments depending on which products a customer purchased. Spreedly enables us to do this very quickly and reliably, with a minimum of configuration. Extremely pleased with the service, which (incidentally) has never let us down once in the 3 years we’ve been using it.

What do you dislike?

Nothing, Spreedly does everything we need.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The ability to split payments to different payment accounts on a single website.

"Spreedly Integration"

What do you like best?

Spreedly makes it possible for platforms to integrate with many merchant processors that other companies are not compatible with. We began using Spreedly when our other provider was unable to integrate with Authorize.Net - a very popular merchant that was often requested by our clients.

What do you dislike?

I wish Spreedly offered better support. I am unaware of a support email address or phone number I can call when experiencing issues.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Being able to integrate Gather and Authorize.Net to accept payments through the Gather platform. Prior to using Spreedly, we did not have this ability.
