We’ve been a loyal Spreedly customer for over a decade, integrating their service deeply into our business. Until recently, we paid approximately $6,000 per month, a figure we budgeted for and justified based on the value they provided. However, without meaningful prior warning or justification, Spreedly recently raised our monthly fee to over $16,000 — nearly tripling our cost overnight.
This kind of drastic price increase is not just unexpected; it’s destabilizing. For companies that rely on Spreedly as a core infrastructure component, such an abrupt shift poses significant financial and operational risks. It undermines long-term planning and casts doubt on the predictability and reliability of Spreedly as a partner.
We urge any business considering Spreedly to seriously weigh this risk. Building a business case around a platform that can change its pricing model so dramatically and unilaterally introduces a level of uncertainty that is hard to mitigate. While price changes are understandable over time, the scale and speed of this increase feel both unreasonable and unsustainable.
