"Powerful Centralized Vault for Managing 100+ Gateways"
5/5
What do you like best about Spreedly?

How powerful it is to have a centralized vault while processing across over a hundred different gateways. Excellent support and sales experience! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spreedly?

The dashboard UI is slow. I understand their business model has to rely on API calls, but I can see where that pricing structure could be hard for some businesses that have large transaction volume with slim margins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Sudden 3x Price Hike After 10 Years – Proceed with Caution"
0/5
What do you like best about Spreedly?

Spreedly provided a solid, reliable payment orchestration layer that integrated well with our systems. Over the past 10 years, we had few issues with performance or uptime, and the platform largely did what we needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spreedly?

We’ve been a loyal Spreedly customer for over a decade, integrating their service deeply into our business. Until recently, we paid approximately $6,000 per month, a figure we budgeted for and justified based on the value they provided. However, without meaningful prior warning or justification, Spreedly recently raised our monthly fee to over $16,000 — nearly tripling our cost overnight.

This kind of drastic price increase is not just unexpected; it’s destabilizing. For companies that rely on Spreedly as a core infrastructure component, such an abrupt shift poses significant financial and operational risks. It undermines long-term planning and casts doubt on the predictability and reliability of Spreedly as a partner.

We urge any business considering Spreedly to seriously weigh this risk. Building a business case around a platform that can change its pricing model so dramatically and unilaterally introduces a level of uncertainty that is hard to mitigate. While price changes are understandable over time, the scale and speed of this increase feel both unreasonable and unsustainable.

This experience has forced us to reconsider our dependency on Spreedly. We hope this review serves as a warning to others — ensure you have contingency plans in place and think carefully about the long-term risk exposure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Spreedly Support is excellent"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Spreedly?

The support is very good - you get quick replies that are detailed and helpful and the tone is always encouraging and friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spreedly?

Spreedly don't have a "test" setting and we can't run our automated tests against a live setting because they charge per API call and it costs too much to hit the API with lots of tests every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Spreedly is a great option for startups"
5/5
What do you like best about Spreedly?

When our company started having issues with Stripe we switched to Spreedly knowing that we can transition to a new payment solution without losing the customer payment data. The process was smooth, the migration of data was quick. Definitely very happy with the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spreedly?

Stripe requires for a start-up of our size to submit a SAQ unless we are working with a partner that satisfies their requirements. Spreedly is such a partner and has provided an AOC to us but unfortunately Stripe still mandates that we do a SAQ. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Start, Complex Progression"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Spreedly?

I appreciate the intuitive design and the straightforward user interface at the beginning. It made the initial setup and early usage very smooth and accessible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spreedly?

As I delved deeper into using the platform, I encountered some complexities that made navigation and utilization less intuitive than at the onset. The features, while robust, can sometimes be overwhelming to integrate seamlessly without frequent consultation of help resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A powerful and robust payment platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Spreedly?

Spreedly takes care of all the complexities around integrating different payment processors to handle credit card and other types of payments. It also helps with many aspects of PCI compliance Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spreedly?

Due to the complexity of their platform that handles dozens of integrations with multiple types of payment processors, any specific change or gateway specific updates can take a while to be implemented and released. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Interesting features"
4/5
What do you like best about Spreedly?

- How easy it is to create dashboards to track transactional performance

- It simplifies the way an integration is performed by using their different tools, also this comes with clear documentation to handle the implementation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spreedly?

- It lacks some of the main payment providers as well as payment methods in LATAM

- In some of the PSPs, it lacks support on all the operations/features provided by the PSP under a direct integration, for example, through Spreedly you could use sale and refund while directly you could use authorize, capture, void plus the ones mentioned before Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great platform if you need to enable access to hundreds of gateways"
4/5
What do you like best about Spreedly?

Spreedly gives the ability to access hundreds of major gateways, so you just need to do one integration with Spreedly and your clients would be able to select any supported gateway of their preference. In this way, we avoid direct integration with the individual gateways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spreedly?

It is hard to track the latest updates from each gateway since we are integrated through Spreedly. A couple of times we won't know something has changed until it hits production, and we need to fix it after the fact. We would really appreciate it if we could be given early notice and enough time for changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Spreedly is a solid API-based payment processing solution."
5/5
What do you like best about Spreedly?

The API is simple and easy to use, and it does not enforce complex requirements on our purchase process. We can make use of Spreedly's API and documentation quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spreedly?

If it were possible to know more about payment decline reasons, it would be wonderful to have more information. Unfortunately some banks don't provide useful reasons for why a payment was declined and it's often challenging to help customers with complex banking issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
