**What do you like best about Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists?**

The best feature that we've noticed so far about Smith.ai is the communication.  They are completely transparent, detailed, and straightforward in all interactions.  This has been the case from our onboarding specialist Daniel, to our account executive Andrew, and the miscellaneous support staff with whom I've also had the pleasure of corresponding.  They are always very prompt in their response.  It's also clear that they not only communicate well with their clients, but they communicate well internally.

**What do you dislike about Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists?**

So far we haven't run into much to dislike.  I anticipate there could be bumps in the road in the future as that's how life goes, but I have trust in the organization (based on my experience so far) that we'll be able to resolve any issues that arise.

**What problems is Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have worked with several answering services in the past but were never able to find the right fit of both quality reps answering our phones and no missed calls.  It seemed as though if you went with a bigger service who wouldn't miss a call, you lost a lot of that consideration for the person who was on the phone.  The focus was more on quantity, not quality.  Then when we moved to another service who was able to provide high quality interactions, we had missed calls.  We are newer to Smith.ai but I have a lot of confidence that we found the right balance here.  So far, no missed calls at all, and our clients have been happy with the service.  Additionally, they are able to leverage the use of tech to really enhance the service we receive.  They communicate seamlessly through email alerts, a virtual dashboard, and are always prompt to respond to any questions.  We also are receiving a lot more detailed service from Smith.ai than we've ever had before.  For example, we are able to define a list of contacts that will always bypass the answering service.  So if a family member calls, we aren't charged for that interaction.  That's a nice feature that shows they've poured a lot of consideration and effort into their setup.

I simply could not keep up with the phone calls that were coming into my personal cell phone.  At times it was overwhelming and I simply would not answer.  However in my business missed phone calls are missed opportunities so I needed a solution.

**What do you like best about Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists?**

One of the best features of Smith.Ai software is their integration with our CRM, Wealthbox. They are able to send a one way push of information which will add the caller as a contact, publish the call notes that are duplicated on the dashboard, and also add their appointment to our calendar. This has been a big time saver for the admin staff who used to manually input all of that.

**What do you dislike about Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists?**

The main flaw with the software is that when you are on the dashboard and click into a lead to view the call details, whenever you back out of the lead it takes you all the way to the dashboard landing page and therefore the most recent call list. It is not a big deal but rather an annoyance as sometimes we audit calls that are several pages into the history list and it requires a few extra clicks to navigate back to the section of calls.

**Recommendations to others considering Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists:**

Smith.Ai has been a breeze to work with from the onboarding process through the sometimes weekly account touches from their customer service team. Making updates to our script and call handling instructions is simple and they are happy to make adjustments to help us fine tune the process for handling prospect calls. The software is easy to use and enables us to listen to call recordings, read call transcripts, block unwanted callers or forward current clients directly to the office, all from the dashboard. Smith.Ai's customer service is prompt in their responses to any issues that come up and are fair with their call credits when needed. All of their receptionists are either native English speakers or are fluent in English as their second language and we have never had a communication issue with our callers not being able to understand the receptionist or questioning if they are based in the US. We have been utilizing their services for 1.5 years after trying 4 other answering services and are very satisfied with the company thus far. We prefer their method of charging per call rather than charging per minute.

We are a wealth management firm who needed a service to field calls for us on the weekends when we run a TV and Radio show where prospects are encouraged to call in to schedule an appointment. Smith.Ai has receptionists staffed to take calls that come in between 11:30pm and 12:30am. Having receptionists available at all times of the day has allowed us to run more shows and at odd times of the day without fear of missing a prospect call. One feature we love is that they will return a call to someone if the call is dropped or if they for some reason are not answered the first time and have to leave a voicemail, the receptionists are quick to call them back. We have about a 55%-60% booking ratio and anyone they cannot set an appointment for, they provide detailed notes as to why they were not able to schedule the prospect. Smith.Ai receptionists allow us to qualify prospects more efficiently as we have them ask certain questions that our staff can use to further qualify them on Monday mornings when we call everyone back ourselves.

Scalability:  sometimes we do not have a high volume of calls, but becuase we have Smith AI we are not worried about not having enough work for our team. Virtual receptionists adapt to the changes, handling higher call volumes during peak times and scaling down during quieter periods.
And the work gets done. No calls are ever missed.

I like that the phone is answered by someone in North America with no major accent and that they get the number and type of caller for me. I like how willing they are to modify and personalize the service for me.  and, no contract!

**What do you dislike about Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists?**

I thought the cost would be high. It seems scary, having a limit of 30 calls for 255. What I found was since they do not bill for advert calls, and spam calls, those are not counted against my calls that are leads. So, works perfect.

They should try it.
In a very short period of time they will be sold.
I Liked that there was no contract, because I was unsure if I would love it.

I used to get interrupted by spam calls and dead calls, useless calls. Now the calls are handled, and I efficiently get a written set of information about the caller.

Smith.ai did an excellent job of porting and transitioning our company into their system. I would beg to say we are one of their more complicated non-law firm clients. It wasn't a completely smooth transition, but most of the few small bumps were either out of their control or my own doing. Great company that effuses positive energy.

**What do you like best about Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists?**

What I like best about Smith.ai virtual receptionists is that the virtual receptionist/outbound call services they provide are hugely valuable, and they do a great job at doing them day in and day out. Plus, they make it easy to use the platform and dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists?**

The already super-small list has gotten practically non-existent, so I can't think of anything worth noting as a dislike. It is truly incredible the level of success and execution they operate at.

The call instructions for my company are complex and change depending on the state of residence and legal case type. Out of the close to 1,000 calls they handle in a month for us at Express Legal Funding, the number of nonperfect calls per month is less than 3, and of those three calls, none are issues that can't be remedied by a quick call back. 

The critical thing to remember is that we have only gained business because of Smith.ai.

You should definitely use smith.ai. The virtual receptionist company is a great investment for a growing company or one that is already an industry leader but needs help with handling calls more effectively.

They help handle our calls efficiently. Plus, do an excellent job of writing down the correct info and quickly sending it our way. I can say from personal experience that my company's lead volume has increased by 20-fold since signing up two years ago with Smith.ai, and Smith.ai has a lot to do with that growth success. We could not have accomplished it without them. They have implemented so many awesome and helpful updates to the overall Smith.ai system that makes it even easier to outsource our receptionist and outbound call-handling team with confidence.

Smith can screen calls - getting rid of 'spam', screening out callers seeking services we don't provide, sending callers wanting an appointment a link so they can schedule, and getting background on calls that must be returned, taking basic messages, etc.

It has been reported to me that some receptionists have trouble pronouncing my name.

Smith is helping by reducing telephone call overload. They take a call, determine if the caller's issue is a fit for our services, and if they are can send a link so the person can schedule an appointment. They also screen calls to get background information for a call back from the office.

The Smith ai virtual receptionists are very detailed and professional with each and every caller. They always know the right questions to ask to evaluate their needs and the best action to take. Whether that be to send them over directly, so our firm does not miss an important call, or move forward with scheduling a new lead and providing the client with quality attention and care during their interaction.

We have been working with Smith ai since 2021 and have yet to see a downside to this service. Not only are the receptionists wonderful, but the follow-up emails. Billings, portals etc., are all very user-friendly, professional and exactly what we need.

One of the most obvious advantages of Smith.ai is its lower cost compared to full time receptionist. We know how expensive it can be to set up receptionist equipments. Using Smith.ai we avoid spendings on the logistical problems of providing extra office space, supplies, or equipment.

If you choose a bill based plan on minutes, so if your business has a high number of calls, Smith.ai may be more expensive for you.

Our firm has been using Smith.ai for several months now and they have been a HUGE help in many ways - fielding and screening calls, providing back up Reception duties for us, and contacting our clients with non-advisory matters -- and they are capable of so much more!

Smith.ai is not just a Virtual Receptionist company, but for me, they are a saving grace.  They have greatly assisted our firm with retaining potential clients which is always our top priority.  Our clients have also spoken very highly of their staff and we love knowing that they reach a human and not our firm voice mail.

Smith.ai - Professional, diligent, punctual, and prompt.  I absolutely recommend them to professionals/business/firms who are looking for remote assistance!

One of the things I like the most about Smith AI is that their agents are so prepared. Often times our customers think they have spoken to us directly and not an answering service.

I don't have anything I dislike  about the service, we have used this service for several months. Before this service subscription, we used another company and had lots of issues. We went through our busiest season with this new service, and was the best experience.

We use smith.ai to expand our customer service hours. It means with smith.ai, your callers will still feel as though they are being taken care of, and their messages will be available to you open the door the next morning. Smith.ai can answer common questions on your behalf, your callers might even have their issues resolved then and there

We have had some trouble with representatives misunderstanding the time zone we are in. Saskatchewan is an odd province as it used to observe daylight savings time but stopped while daylight savings was active.  This has led to some confusion among representatives and misreporting of the time that some calls were held. We've also had the odd misspelling of email addresses which our firm relies on for forms for remote clients. These are easy coaching moments and Smith.ai has an easy system in place for reporting mistakes.

Make sure to have strong clear instructions for the phone reps.  Poor instructions or instructions that rely on knowledge of your firm or business's processes can make it difficult for the phone rep to know how to handle calls.  (A good example for law firms is how do you want the reps to handle gathering info for a conflict search?  We just have the rep gather contact info and let them know that an employee will reach out via a phone call and email shortly.)

I switched over to Smith.ai in February after a very bad experience with another big name competitior. The difference in service is night and day. Any concern I have had has been promptly addressed and they have taken it seriously, even if it wasn't as big a deal to me. My prior service would gaslight me and pay me lipservice. Smith.ai has actually booked appointments for me, when the others didn't book a single appointment in three months. I'm a solo firm so having a reception service that is bilingual, friendly, courteous, and proactive has made a big difference in my client-happiness rating.

The way that support addresses any and all submissions. They make changes within 24 hours, they send copies to ensure it was done correctly, they are open to collaboration on a solution, and they are very apologetic if there is a misstep. All services make mistakes at some point but the biggest one I've had was a simple typo in an appointment time. However, they immediately contacted the client to correct it and then credited both calls to me so that I didn't pay.

I no longer waste time with spam calls since those are blocked and my work is no longer interrupted with low priority calls.   I can return those calls or send an email at a time that works for me and does not take me away from my work.   I do not miss calls from clients nor prospective clients.  In fact, I’ve received unsolicited compliments for my receptionist from clients and prospects.  I cannot express enough how having Smith.ai take calls and schedule consultations saves time and is a compliment to the overall brand of my firm.

I use Smith.ai as my virtual receptionist.  Giving my prospective clients a live voice to speak with when they call in has made a difference in the number of consultations I have scheduled.  When voicemail picks up, it is too easy for the prospective client to hang up and move to the next name on their internet search.  Having Smith.ai take these calls and schedule the consultations is also a big time saver for me.

**What do you like best about Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists?**

I like getting a summary from the virtual receptionist that summarizes the call.  The customer service is great and you get quick responses from tehm when you make an inquiry.  I also like the ease of switching from live to voicemail with them as it is done through a simple text rather than logging into an app.

**What do you dislike about Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists?**

I haven't really experienced anything I didn't like.  I had a couple of hiccups while getting my script set up and "tweaked" but they were so great in their response times and results that it wasn't even enough to stress about.

I like that I do not have to answer every phone call that comes through.  I love that Smith.ai also filters out spammy sales calls and actually block them. I really love the call summaries, especially the daily summary received at the end of the day as this helps me make sure I’ve addressed all necessary calls.

I would truly love to have a set number or individual as the receptionist so that I can avoid the issue of my name being mispronounced which is not a good look for new leads or my current clients who know how my name is pronounced.

Instead of having to hire another intake coordinator, we hired Smith.Ai. We are more than satisfied with the results. On the phone calls with agents, I feel as if they are my coworker. The agents are extremely competent make decisions in the best interest of both your business and the client.

That the agents have the "figure it out" attitude and they sound very friendly on the phone. The agents speak with confidence and the support staff is quick to reply with adjustments to scripts. An agent one time instead of immediately taking a message, had the caller hold while she googled a practice of law that she did not know to see if we handled it. LOVED THAT

The free trial period was a bit short, we did not see the value of this service until we turned on a cheaper service and scrambled to cancel them immediately due to the night and day different in service and quality of agents.

Make sure you look into the free trial very well. We ran out of calls because we didn't realize it was number or calls or a time frame. We were disappointed and went with a cheaper company which we did not like and ended up switching back to Smith.Ai despite being slightly sour about our trial lasting a day due to our call volume.

Because of their assistance, I am able to focus on spending my time on other things without getting interrupted by the telephone.  When I receive the summaries, I am able to get a clear idea of whether or not the person is a true lead or just a person who is fishing.

I like that they are able to follow my instructions for answering my calls.  When I receive the summary of the call, I clearly know what to expect from the potential lead.

Smith.ai sometimes has to contact me via text in order to gauge my availability.  It allows 30 seconds for me to answer.  There are times when I get the message and at the same time I receive a message that because I didn't respond they will take a message.  In my opinion, it does not allot for enough time for me to respond.

I would highly recommend them.  It is most helpful to them when you have a clear idea of your intact process.

I recently started a law firm.  In researching options for virtual reception services I came across Smith.ai, and I'm glad I gave them a try.

The service provided is top-notch.  The receptionists are friendly, engaging with callers, and helpful.  They provide prompt notification of calls with detailed contact information for callers.  

There are various options for conflicts checks and other services that I haven't yet tried out, but will be.

The service costs significantly less than the cost of having an on-site receptionist providing the same services.

The professional, personalized service provided to callers.  Callers don't know they are talking to a virtual reception service.

**What do you like best about Smith.ai Virtual Receptionists?**

Smith.ai is fantastic. I run a solo law firm, and they allow me to seem like a serious professional rather than being the guy who answers his own phones (no offense to those of you that do!). They're affordable for small operators like myself, they take instruction very well, and they actually put in the legwork of finding holes in your intake script to make sure they know how to respond in a given circumstance. One of the things I really like is they also don't take down copious details to try to follow some word-for-word script (though they might do this if you asked, I don't know); they're real humans and talk to your clients. I even had a referral contact I was working with tell me "I had no idea they were not part of your office!" Smith is also awesome because it integrates with my law practice software, so every non-spam call gets recorded to the appropriate client matter. It's so, so, so cool. I cannot recommend Smith.ai highly enough.

Nothing. My experience with them so far has been perfect.

It's so ridiculously easy to get set up. They send you an online form that you just fill out, and in probably 10-20 minutes you'll be up and running. You'll need to port over your number, but that's it. They can also do the full intake over the phone to get you set up as well. Either way is easy.

I don't have to answer my own phone and get distracted by stupid sales calls. I look like a professional. They free up my time for a completely reasonable fee. I utterly love them.

If there are any linguistic barriers, Smithai informs us so we are prepared when the calls are returned.  Every virtual assistant I've encountered has been very kind and professional in the delivery of their services.  Currently,  Smithai gathers contact information from all callers without any integration of software. It works for us right now and we couldn't be more pleased.

So you'd think a virtual assistant is only useful for after hours activity.  Think again!  I didn't know how many PNC calls I was missing until SmithAI.  The detailed intake, friendly operators and useful information has really been an important new asset for our business, especially during the pandemic when telephone messages can be lost, dropped or misplaced.  I think it's a great value and would highly recommend.

The detailed messages....email, full name, phone number.  They will even call a client back for you which can be a huge time saver.

Having had a live receptionist for many years, the quality and accuracy of information - emailed practically instantly from the call taking place - is the absolute best.  A new feature allows me to respond to a new caller and tell Smith to call the client back with specific information that I type for them.

The natural downside comes from any answering service - the person is not physically in your office.  On at least one occasion, I have had a client trying to find my office and the receptionist wasn't able to properly help because they are not local.
