I find that there's a steep learning curve for attendees. This was our first time actually charging for a virtual conference instead of everything being free, and I was nervous about the payment side messing up mid-launch. Setting up early bird, regular, and VIP ticket tiers was way more straightforward than I expected, connected our Stripe account once and just built out the pricing structure from there. What actually saved me though was the Magic Link thing, we had a batch of sponsors who needed free VIP access without going through the whole registration flow, uploaded the list and it just sent them a link straight in, no fumbling with promo codes for that group. Nervous speakers used to just get thrown straight into the live stream with zero warmup, which showed, a lot of them fumbled the first thirty seconds getting comfortable.
