# Which deduction management platform actually fits better, an enterprise AR team chasing retailer chargebacks or a CPG brand tracking trade spend?

Hello G2 users. I've noticed that a lot of the deduction management comparisons out there treat the category as one thing, when the reviews really split into two different worlds. One is enterprise accounts receivable teams dealing with high invoice volume and retailer chargebacks across multiple ERPs. The other is CPG brands where deductions are tied almost entirely to trade promotion spend. The tool that wins depends a lot on which one you actually are.

HighRadius Accounts Receivables shows up most in enterprise reviews, with SAP and Oracle integration called out repeatedly as the reason larger teams pick it. Best for big finance orgs with multiple ERPs and a lot of invoice volume, though a few reviewers flagged a real learning curve during setup.

Gaviti sits more in the mid market AR world, automating collections follow ups and dispute tracking without the enterprise-level complexity. Best for teams that want deduction and dispute visibility folded into a broader receivables workflow.

SPS Commerce Revenue Recovery comes up constantly for retailer and marketplace chargebacks specifically, Amazon and Walmart deductions in particular. Best for suppliers, often smaller or mid-sized, who need someone to handle the dispute process end to end.

Promomash is squarely built for CPG brands, tying deductions directly to trade promotion contracts and giving reviewers a single source of truth instead of separate systems. Best for brands where trade spend, not general AR, is the real deduction driver.

For the people running enterprise AR, is the SAP or Oracle integration actually the deciding factor, or does the implementation lift make you reconsider? And for CPG folks, does a promo-specific tool like Promomash end up replacing your general AR software entirely, or do you end up running both side by side?

I’d treat these as two different buying problems. For enterprise AR, ERP integration would be a deciding factor because deduction automation loses value if teams still reconcile data manually across SAP or Oracle. For CPG, I’d expect a trade-promotion-specific tool to sit alongside the core AR system rather than replace it, since it solves the promotional context behind deductions rather than the entire receivables workflow.
