The batch API is exactly what we needed. We build the recipient list server-side, fire the request, and get status callbacks via webhook. The API design is consistent throughout once you understand how one resource works, the rest behave the same way. HIPAA BAA process was also smoother than I expected, which helped us get vendor approval fast.

**What do you dislike about PostGrid Print & Mail?**

Template rendering for complex multi-page documents can paginate slightly differently than our local preview. Minor, but when page breaks matter legally, you have to test thoroughly in the sandbox. I'd like a closer parity between preview and production rendering.

Eliminated a completely manual, error-prone month-end process. Our ops team doesn't touch this workflow anymore, and we have the compliance documentation we need without building any custom tooling around it.

This service has been reliable for all our direct mail needs, from regular customer letters to promotional flyers. As the tool was easy to integrate the platform is straightforward to use, and the delivery tracking feature is a major bonus. Support team has done a great job in terms of training us on the stuff.

The ease of use is what stands out. We can design, print, and send materials from the same platform. The tracking and delivery updates have kept us on top of every campaign, and the system works seamlessly with our other tools.

Address verification and NCOA processing are legitimately good. Our returned mail rate dropped noticeably after switching. The SDK is clean and the core integration was straightforward to build and maintain.

Error messages when a template fails to render aren't specific enough. I've done more trial-and-error in the sandbox than I should have to. Something like "variable X referenced but not found in merge fields" would save real debugging time. Support is responsive, but I'd rather not need them for this.

What I like best is that when we update interest rates or terms in our core system, the correct disclosure letter fires automatically with the right version. I can see the whole event history for each letter, which makes audits way less scary because I am not guessing what was actually mailed.

What really stands out for me is that as soon as a payment bounces in our system, a clear notice letter is produced with the reason code and amount. I can open the exact PDF the customer recieved and walk them through it instead of guessing what someone typed.

I’m not a fan of how technical the error message looks if a bank code is missing; the first time it happened I had to ask our dev to translate what it actually meant.

It’s cutting down on confusion around “why did my payment fail” calls. The transactional letters explain it properly, people call in calmer, and I’m not rewriting the same explanation in email over and over again, which was driving me a bit mad tbh.

The API is extremely fast and returns structured data that is easy to integrate. We were able to send certified letters which we need to send for court evidence incase of disputes. It breaks down the full address into parsed components like street number, street name, unit, city, and ZIP so everything stays consistent in our system. It also handles messy addresses well and fixes formatting automatically.

I don't have any issues regarding the platform. They can update their design a bit.

Previewing very large statement jobs feels a little slow, so the team usually spot checks only a small sample. It works fine, just feels slightly slower than the rest of the workflow.

Honestly, what I like the most is how simple they make the entire direct mail marketing process. As a commercial electric company, we’ve tried a couple of other platforms for direct mail marketing but none really fit our workflow until PostGrid. What I like best is how simple it is to upload our contacts and send personalized postcards and letters. The integration with our CRM system was surprisingly smooth, and the address verification saves us from wasting prints and postage on bad addresses. Plus, their tracking feature really helps us know when customers recieve the mails, which we never had before. It’s helped us reconnect with older clients and promote new services without hiring an extra marketing person.
