Combining data feeds from all of the major POS vendors with digital-video from your VMS it allows the rapid and targeted identification of areas and behaviors that require further scrutiny; and takes you to that exact video moment at the click of a mouse. So that operators can confirm events, with their own eyes! Suspicious activity exports, including both data and video, and a case management system puts the evidence together to confirm fraud and theft. Both to aid in prosecution of those undertaking it and to deter those who might be tempted to try. ## POS Connect Reviews ### 1. Because we use POS Connect to compile and investigate suspicious outliers, (instead of comparing boxes of receipts to video), we can look at as much as twenty times the number of incidents we would be able to investigate without a program that marries data with video. **What do you dislike about POS Connect?** There really isn't a downside to using POS connect. **Recommendations to others considering POS Connect:** Any organization with a large number of POS locations and employees should consider POS Connect as an efficient way to monitor their operation. **What problems is POS Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have solved many issues with POS Connect. We catch fraud, which reduces the company's losses. And, in seeing exactly what that data pattern looks like, we compose a profile of that certain kind of theft. That profile can be spotted again in the data compiled, thus, further increasing our efficiency. In addition, when there are suspicious outliers, it isn't always due to theft. Sometimes these outliers are due to training issues, and or issues within the POS software itself. Resolving training and pricing issues always makes a positive impact. ### 2. An advanced user can set up queries and have that data presented to the users, without them being power users. With Insights, the users have a dashboard they can look at every day that automatically queries the data that we want them to look at. They can then check the transactions using the data+cameras. **What do you dislike about POS Connect?** Some queries can be fairly complex, you would either need to understand the coding language, or put in tickets to eConnect. **What problems is POS Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been a customer of eConnect for years, we use eConnect to identify POS scams and theft that occur by staff members. eConnect shows us the data that the POS system doesn't, for example voided items. We have been successful in catching employees steeling using eConnect ### 3. Maintain POS Control **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Paul P. | Surveillance Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2021 **What do you like best about POS Connect?** The ease with which all POS terminals are at your monitoring disposal for both data and video. **What do you dislike about POS Connect?** Very little - perhaps occasional glitches in service mainly due to internal server issues. **What problems is POS Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?** Analyzing vulnerable areas in our retail operations - high risk categories are aggregated and/or broken down per sales areas and individuals, which makes investigating much easier.
