Democtrizing data is probably the biggest benefit for us. We came from a place where we had a specialized individual generating reports for our leadership team, our people team, and other requests - this was simply not scalable. Included provides bespoke real-time insights to these stakeholders in an easy to use way. 2. Define the narrative. One of the main features we've been using internally is 'Story'. Stories allow us to... tell a story... with the data. We can customize the dashboards to take stakeholders through a data journey giving them the insights that are the most relevant to them, without bogging them down with too much detail. These include custom tiles with trendlines, scorecards or preset threshold markers. However, if they do want to deep dive.... (see below) 3. Clicking into the trends to see the specifics. Included has a very clean way of being able to double click into the data that allows the users to see specifically where that data is coming from. So if for example we see attrition trending in the wrong direction, we can click into that and specifically see what departments and what demographics are most impacted. 4. AI-Powered. The AI-insights function provides us with a real time breakdown of the analytics in a way that makes sense to non-technical non-analytical users. It can very quickly point out areas of concerns allowing stakeholders to take immediate action where necessary. 5. API / Central System. It has been hugely beneficial to our team to tie in multiple systems and drive all our insights through Included. We have our ATS, our HRIS as well as previous dashboards (from Tableau) - allowing us to draw correlations in the data between different systems. 6. Responsiveness from the team. The team that helped us implement the solution has been fantastic. They are quick to answer questions, join Zoom calls to dive into issues, help build stakeholder dashboards, and of course, help grow the stack by supporting integration of additional platforms / data. **What do you dislike about Phenom Applied AI?** While Included is a great tool in the toolkit for a mid-sized startup (we're about 1000), it may not be as beneficial for smaller companies, as they may not have enough data or systems to get maximum benefit from the platform. **What problems is Phenom Applied AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solves the problem of having disparate data in multiple platforms. It is nice how thurough and developed the trainings are for learning how to use the application. Also the Phenom Chrome Extension tool is something I utilize daily for work so I appreciate that and how easy it is to upload a resume and it auto-fills the candidate's profile. It has also integrated with our other software well because of the extension tool and also being connected to our career site. **What do you dislike about Phenom Applied AI?** The only thing I have struggled with is the always-on campaigns can't be used for dynamic lists, which is what I would want to use them for. For new matches in dynamic lists to get that always-on message, but I will say I am newer to using the application so maybe this is something I lack understanding on. **What problems is Phenom Applied AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** When folks apply it automatically allows them to enter who referred them, also the referrals are so easy to see since they get a purple little triangle next to their name, and all you have to do is hover over it to see who referred them. Our referral program is something we want to streamline and make easier for pulling for compensation and reporting, which is built into Phenom analytics. ### 11. The two-way integration is a game changer. The AI features are extremely useful and save a ton of time. **What do you dislike about Phenom Applied AI?** Until you set up the filters to sort out Rejeceted, and Withdrawn applications the data looks overwhelming. It wasn't until I got comfortable with the filters that I could make sense of the information in front of me. You should consider adding more filters or spotlights that have those rejected or withdrawn candidates removed. Also we have 15 "Rejected" Statuses, and more withdrawn, clicking each one individually on the exclude filter is hard and time-consuming, there should be a way to exclude all rejected statuses at once. **What problems is Phenom Applied AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use the AI Feature alot. In fact I've learned that I can program the AI to creat the emails, that read and resume and draft an email to the hiring managers as to why this candidate is a good fit. I haven't had success inviting leads to apply. I've sent over 1000 emails through Phenom and not one has resulted in someone being interested or hired. ### 12. It was helpful to have it broken up like that. **What do you dislike about Phenom Applied AI?** I did not like that the certifications had courses where you had to leave the certification you were currently taking to take courses from another certification in order to fulfill the requirements. It was also difficult to navigate the courses homepage and find the certifications I was currently working on and enrolled in. I also didn't like that if you got a question wrong on the quiz, it didn't refer you back to the lesson that would help you learn where you went wrong. The questions were also confusing, complex, and sometimes not fully correct. I even asked the Phenom Bot to clarify, and it gave different answers. If I got a question wrong, I would ask the bot, and it would explain an answer that indicated to me that my answer would have been correct. Need to ensure TPMs are always current with changes to product, implementation, and migration/delivery features and processes so that client implementation plans are not impacted by unforeseen changes in approach. No one consulted us (recruiters) or did a UAT before implementing it. Here are some reasons why Phenom makes our lives harder. 1. Vaunted A.I is an Actual.Imbecile. It doesn't work. We cannot source effectively from Phenom. Something as simple as filter for skills or language is not possible. It captures skills such as "football", "physics", "workforce planning" when these words do not appear on the IT candidate's CV. Most of the time, we source from LinkedIn instead, and feed the profiles into Phenom. Then we manually clean all the skill tags. Phenom also doesn't work with Boolean, all the more important for every recruiter to clean the data. Labour intensive much? We've had some live training sessions, and each time the trainer wasn't able to show us a successful sourcing. 2. Interview scheduling doesn't work when it is for hiring managers. It cannot handle changes, and many times, candidates do not receive updates. We do this manually. 3. Once you fill a role, the req closes without rejecting all the applicants. You need to manually reject the applicants first (in batches of max 50 each time), before you can close the req. 4. Poor UI - There is more than 1 way to enter interview notes. So hiring managers working with different recruiters will be confused on where to look. Each interview note comes with an A.I summary at the top, which is where hiring managers will look first, instead of scrolling down to look for the notes. The A.I summary is mostly incorrect. We need to tell each hiring manager where to find the notes. 5. There is no way for us to know whether the data in the system is GDPR compliant. The implementation took a few months and it was not fit for purpose for the first half a year. It is advertised as it has AI, but there is no intelligence in it at all, only some basic algorithms, some poorly designed. UX - personally, the design gives me the desire to switch it off after 5 seconds on it. Search feature - if you are searching for 1 particular thing - it does the job - for example - a candidate name, a job title etc It does not support Boolean All of the other searches have to be done through advanced filters It has a more than 6 hours sync time with Workday, on some occasions. Some data from Workday never reaches Phenom - for example a role closed 6 months ago can still show as open on Phenom and you cannot amend that. Sometimes data from candidate's resumes is parsed into wrong fields - ex - name as address or opposite Rejecting candidates in bulk might take ages Customer support - a joke. This includes more self service for troubleshooting and updating configuration.
