**What do you like best about Nexcess?**

I was a big fan of Liquid Web as they had Heroic support and fantastic customer service

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

I have been a long-time Liquid Web customer, of both their managed and virtual hosting. With their migration to Nexcess, they decided to drop their heroic support and michigan based support staff in favour of AI and chat support. The chat support seems to be more interested in closing the case quickly rather than fixing the issue.

**What problems is Nexcess solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They were supposed to be helping me with managed hosting of my WordPress sites.

**What do you like best about Nexcess?**

Easy to use control panel which allows management of your hosting.

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

We have been with Nexcess for over 9 years, and the service has progressively worsened, with the cost of hosting increasing at the same time (every couple of months).

If you have an issue with your website and raise a ticket with their "24/7" technical support, do not have any expectations whatsoever you will receive a knowledgeable response. The responses will often not address the issue, and you will often go around in circles waiting a couple of hours between each response no matter how clearly your question is phrased.

Escalation to a supervisor used to work to get a adequate response, but now even this request seems to be ignored.

After submitting a cancellation request for being a loyal customer for 9 years, there was no attempt to even find out the reason for the cancellation, instead the cancellation was expedited (not that we were going to stay). This just shows the little value they have for customers.

Save yourself the hassle if you run a serious website and go a hosting company that cares about their customers and service.

Their backup system takes forever to backup and sometimes freezes. They once told me it could take days for the backup to work. If it weren't for the backup system, I would recommend this hosting platform.

It's relatively easy to use, it's usually easy to find your way around the dashboard and the migration from other hosting services have been pretty smooth.

Hard to get timely support and usually it's never an issue with their servers, according to their support. Very little responsibility taken.

**What do you like best about Nexcess?**

Nexcess was once an outstanding hosting company. I became a customer in 2017 and moved many of our agency client sites and owned/operated properties over to the hosting provider. In 2019, Nexcess was acquired by Liquid Web. I am not sure if that is when the changes began, but in recent months it has become tremendously apparent to me that the customer support is completely outsourced and the level of care offered to customers is minimal at best.

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

The customer support for Nexcess is terrible. There are many, many better web hosts that provide better support.

**What problems is Nexcess solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nexcess once hosted over 20 of our web properties. They were unable to provide even basic support and continued to leave us with the answer of "work with a developer" even when the issues were directly hosting-related.

Nexcess is one of the best hosting services in the market. Their support was what impressed me the most. Nexcess always responds within some hours. Excellent and simple to use dashboard that offers a variety of free premium plugins to integrate with WordPress website.

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

I don't have any major issues with Nexcess. Their support staff is highly supportive and resolves the ticket within a few hours. I had a very good experience with this platform.

Nexcess is the platform I'm currently employing Nexcess for hosting my client's WordPress websites It's much simpler and more efficient than having it hosted internally. Should try it.

Their technical support staff is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. If their initial technician is unable to resolve your issue, they quickly escalate it to their tier 2 support staff and keep you up to date.

Older set-ups may not get the flexibility and benefits of newer installations, even if Magento is current (e.g. seamless transition to new domain name).

**What do you like best about Nexcess?**

Working with Nexcess has been excellent. If ever there is a problem, support is readily available and very knowledgeable. I've not run into any situation yet that they have not been of great assistance. We have switched from Magento to WordPress with no issues. We've grown via WordPress and had to change plans, and the transition went perfectly smooth. I have nothing but good things to say about Nexcess and their support team.

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

I haven't had any issues with Nexcess. They have been helpful at every stage and every change we've made. The only dislike I have at all is the UI/UX of SiteWorx; I feel it could use some work, it's a little rough.

**Recommendations to others considering Nexcess:**

If you want excellent service and equally excellent support, look no further - give Nexcess a try. They are reasonably priced and well worth the money.

**What problems is Nexcess solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nexcess is the host for our eCommerce website, which currently carries over 100 items. We started with Nexcess hosting our site, which was Magento at the time. We have since switched to WordPress and stayed with Nexcess. Even then, we stayed with the same hosting plan for a while, and it worked well. We grew and had to change plans, but it was a breeze. Nexcess handled the bulk of the transition, and we had no issues. We currently are a semi-small website, as far as traffic and bandwidth needs, but we can grow knowing Nexcess can also grow with our needs.

Good dashboard and lots of free premium plugins that you could choose from and add to your Wordpress site.

We are an agency, and we have specific needs and always in need of premium support. We came in contact with Nexcess to move our sites on Nexcess because we needed to scale our agency and to relieve some work from our support department.

We had a call with the sales team stated our needs we were pleased with the things we heard so we choose to do the leap of faith.

We aggreed to migrate to Nexcess 10 Wordpress sites and 15 Woocommerce sites. The time needed for that operation was told us from Nexcess was max 1 month... in theory...

The migration took 3 months and we did our own most of the work... We had book slots and do again and again sync with live sites... It was a nightmare.

Besides that we had tremendous problem with the support. We needed professional help and not some canned responses from chat.

And lastly the day that we finally had it all we had all of our sites completely down for several hours because there was an issue from Nexcess site, some update caused a major blackout and we were offline almost one day.

That incident damaged our reputation as an agency. What should we tell to our clients that are reliying on us their online businesses?

The experience we had was something i would not recommend even to our enemies.

The problems solved were way less than the problems we needed to solve afterwards.
Most of the problems we faced was fixed from our support department and not from Nexcess.

**What do you like best about Nexcess?**

I have used Nexcess for some time now 6 years or more. Since the changes (purchased by Liquid Web), there have been some issues, however I think when you consider how many sites they host and how hard it is to find competent help, that they do a great job. Sure it can sometimes take time for them to get back to you, but that's not common. Sometimes you may get the wrong answer, but that can happen anywhere.  Take the last year, how many people have thought, " I will just download Magento and setup a store". Imagine how hard it is for them to support that. The number of questions and issues must be sizable.  Be patient and remember they are only human. I am very happy with them in every respect. Nobodies perfect. I see a lot of people compaining but really its not justified, these guys are under a lot of stress in the last year as we all are. Be kind.

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

This is a tough one, I dislike that when I can't figure something out they may take a few hours to get back to me with an answer. I have nothing bad to say about them, any issues are usually my own doing  or lack of knowledge or understanding of the problem and the buck stops with me.  Do I expect them to be able to help when I am stumped (they usually always do)? Their systems are very good, the security and Megento knowledge they have and their control panel, I think, are awesome. They usually always go above and beyond, sort of like I am 1 of 10 customers :-) Which we all know is not the case.

Magento can be a beast, Nexcess is a dragon slayer.

Nexcess makes Magento work every day, every version. Pretty much zero down time.

**What do you like best about Nexcess?**

The customer support at Nexcess is simply the best. They're servers have hosted our site for over 10 years. When we replatformed, our site designers recommended a different server host. We considered our options, but realized quickly that we would not get the same quality service if we switched, and we've never regretted it. Whenever we have problems caused by site upgrades, unexpectedly high traffic or troubleshooting malware, their developers respond quickly and go above and beyond our expectations to help out. Whenever I open a support ticket, it always feels like I'm talking with old friends rather than a sterile customer support team. We recently upgraded to their cloud server and are amazed at how easy it is to configure, how well it handles high traffic and how consistently reliable it is.

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

I have no real complaints, but if I must list a dislike it is that their support ticket page used to have a search field that allowed us to search and filter old tickets. After a recent update that search bar disappeared, so if we want to reference an old ticket we have to scroll through all the old ones one at a time. But that's really not a big deal.

**What problems is Nexcess solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As our company has grown, we have consistently had to deal with upgrading our server to handle more traffic and an increasingly complex website. Nexcess's server devs have helped us update and reconfigure our server time and again to handle these updates, as well as helping us stay on top of potential malware threats.

**What do you like best about Nexcess?**

Whenever I submit a support request, Nexcess always responds within a few hours.  If they need further information from me about the ticket, they continue to respond quickly to each subsequent update I make to the ticket.  On the few occasions when I've needed to talk directly to someone on the phone, it's been quick to get in touch with a support person.

Initial setup was very easy as well.  I use Nexcess to host Magento, and Nexcess installed the Magento software and did the initial configuration.

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

As far as I know, Nexcess doesn't provide any way for users to directly access web server log files, so I have to open a support ticket whenever I need to search the logs for something.

**Recommendations to others considering Nexcess:**

My only mild complaint with Nexcess is the inability to access server logs.  Everything else has been great.  The hosting is stable, it's easy to manage my site, and Nexcess's support is great.

I'm using Nexcess to host my online store, which is much easier and more convenient than hosting it internally.

Its simple interface and preinstalled wordpress with plugins makes things faster.

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

Support doesnt respond to tickets for days. It feels like not much people are working there. 

Claims of blazing fast wordpress installations are not true. I get very smilar results with very cheap shared hostings.

Recently they changed my site url with a subdomain of theirs by mistake and whole blog lost all of its index cuz I noticed that 15 days later. We had an incredible seo demage with their fault. I wouldnt recommend for serious projects.

It speeds up installation and launching new sites with a good hosting panel but thats all.

Their marketing skills to impress to new people. And their dashboard is also very good.

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

Their magento 2 performance is very bad. 
Website may go down anytime. Their resources for magento cloud server are very less - even if you take their 299 USD plan for 100 concurrent users. It will not become useful for you.

Never - 
Or we can refer Nexcess to our competitors to make their website down

The support provided for Magento is the best out there. I have worked with a dozen or so hosts and none of them provide the in depth knowledge of the platform and how it interacts with the server.

There is nothing that I dislike and have no complaints.

Working with Magento requires specialized knowledge that not all hosts have, but they do.

Performances. Their servers was very slow compared to Rackspace's one. Also they tried to force me to stay for a second year when the contract was for only one

I had a terrible experience with Nexcess.
I have 2 main sites using Magento 2 Enterprise edition.
I wanted Nexcess to host both of them and signed for a plan that should be strong enough for both.
I decided first to move only one of my sites in order to check the performances. When I did so I noticed that although it was the one who had less traffic out of my two sites, it was substantially slower than the one who hosted on Rackspace on a plan that cost half of the one on Nexcess!
We tried with their support team to improve things but they never succeeded to match the performances of the Rackspace one (not to mention that they were supposed to be better because of the twice more expensive plan!).
I asked to cancel and was told that I have a one year contract that I cannot cancel. So I had to stay with two plans because did not want to move my other site to the weaker environment. At the end of the year contract I told Nexcess that the year ended and I want to move all to Rackspace and I was told that I'm six days late in my response and that they already did their yearly plan and that I have to continue for an additional year!
They forgot that I wanted to move before, they forgot that I signed only for one year, and that if it was for two, they have proposed me when I signed a better price from day one and I said that I want to pay more and to commit for only one year. 
At the bottom line their servers cannot match the leading hosts and the company isn't honest.

Customer support is always available and ready to help. Even in the dead of night. They are always helpful and engaging.

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

The cost is a little higher than most of the other platforms available for hosting a magento site. But the support more than makes up for it.

**Recommendations to others considering Nexcess:**

Don't wait. Do it. You will be happy with the support team alone. They are available 24/7 and will make sure that you are always happy with the results. The cloud is the best solution for anyone with a Magento website.

**What problems is Nexcess solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moved the company site to the cloud server that they have available and have seen increased performance. Not hindered by bandwidth issues anymore.

They are proactive with all problems on the site we host with them and provide scaleable cloud hosting for our magento sites.

We have had our site crash due to similar issues but the Nexcess team is always on it.

We were hosting our site through another provider but Nexcess provided a solid scaleable solution when we switched to Magento.

hard to say, i dislike running out of space and they only other plan is  more expensive to upgrade.

solving problems with slow hosting providers, nexcess is the way to go for a speedy website.

I have been with Nexcess for many years. I host my sites and my client's sites with Nexcess. They are reliable and customer service is fast. I use them for Magento and WordPress. 

**What do you dislike about Nexcess?**

I wish they used CPanel for site management instead of Interworx's Siteworx. CPanel is so much better than Siteworx which isn't intuitive and very, very dated. Thankfully you rarely use it. 

**Recommendations to others considering Nexcess:**

If you need a reliable host with great customer service, certainly consider Nexcess. If you have a lot of sites to maintain, know that they don't use Cpanel. This might be a deal breaker for some.

Nexcess provide reliable hosting with little to no downtime. I am hosting my website and sites for my clients. I trust Nexcess!

Great uptime, generally responsive support, good pricing, strong hosting control panel.

Sometimes their techs are unfamiliar with the finer aspects of ExpressionEngine, a CMS they support.

**Recommendations to others considering Nexcess:**

It's a no-brainer unless you have high capacity/bandwidth needs (1M hits/day, video hosting, etc). In that case, do your research.

**What problems is Nexcess solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nexcess has been our go-to host for several years. Their relatively quick setup, full-featured hosting control panel and SSH allows us to deploy websites with minimal hassle.
