"A Reliable EDC Partner for Accelerating CRO-Led Study Startup"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

From a CRO perspective, Medrio EDC stands out for its ease of use/implementation and ability to support rapid study startup. Database build, UAT, and go-live are efficient and predictable, allowing studies to activate quickly without unnecessary rework. The platform is intuitive for both CRO teams and sites, reducing training burden and enabling frequent, day-to-day use for data review, query management, and study oversight. Medrio also integrates well with other clinical systems, which helps maintain streamlined workflows across the clinical technology ecosystem. Equally important, Medrio’s support and project teams function as true partners, helping CROs meet aggressive timelines while maintaining data quality and compliance. What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

For highly complex protocols or more advanced reporting needs, some configurations may require extra planning or involvement from support. Even so, Medrio’s team is collaborative and solutions-oriented, and these situations are usually worked through without affecting startup timelines or overall study delivery. "World-Class Medrio Support Team and a Robust Platform"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

We have been using Medrio for a while now, and what truly stands out is the caliber of their employees. Every interaction, from initial setup to day-to-day support, has been marked by an exceptional level of professionalism.

The team is consistently knowledgeable, efficient, and deeply committed to ensuring our success with their platform. Beyond their expertise, everyone we've engaged with has been incredibly polite and a pleasure to work with. They manage inquiries with patience and a clear focus on helpful resolution. It's rare to find a clinical software company with such a consistently high standard of customer care. Highly recommended for both their robust product and world-class personnel.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I’m not a fan of the UAT process as it is today. I really wish the system included an integrated UAT feature, so the workflow could be handled directly within the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Navigate Portal, minor improvements needed"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I don’t use Medrio as regularly as I did in the past, but I’ve always appreciated how easy and straightforward it is to navigate the portal and case report forms. I also like the CRF design and the availability of TEST and other non-Production environments, since they let you verify updates to the study build and forms before moving anything into Production. I’ve used this product for a number of years at a few different companies and across various studies, and I haven’t run into any major issues. Another positive is that Medrio seems to be committed to improving the product and occasionally asks for feedback—for example, I’m aware of, and like the idea of, the AI features they were trying to implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

In the past, I occasionally ran into “timeout issues,” which hindered my ability to navigate after logging in which was frustrating because I needed to review data points at a critical juncture in the study. I haven’t experienced that problem recently, but I also haven’t used Medrio as frequently or as extensively as I did before, so it’s hard to say whether the issue has been fully resolved over time. Dashboards could also use improvement - although the system is designed to pull numbers based on the inputs provided, it sometimes doesn’t reflect or present certain metrics in a suitable manner that is more fitting for a teams specific needs which can sometimes makes it difficult to be fully reliable. Browse Data & Data Export filter options need some work - when updates were made for a study, the dataset outputs that were updated with a large no. of patients generated formats that are not ideal - resulting in me sorting and doing a lot of extraneous tasks to clean up the issues. "Simplicity and Reliability at Its Best"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I really appreciate the simplicity of Medrio EDC. It's very easy to use and really straightforward. I find the user interface appealing and intuitive, which doesn't overwhelm, especially for those new to the industry. It's a good place to start with EDC tools. I also find it reliable, which is crucial because you want a tool that's not just simple but also dependable. We've used Medrio EDC for a long time, and I like it. The initial setup was very easy, and even though I'm on the clinical and medical side, it was simple for me to get involved in setting it up. Overall, it's been quite easy to use for all the studies I've been involved in, making it a reliable choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I mean, what doesn't work well with me off the top of my head, I can't really think of any. I mean, it serves most of my needs. There's always little tweaks and quirks here and there. That can be improved, but, generally, nothing major. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good EDC with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I like the filtering available in Medrio EDC; I can filter by anything from site to actual CRF to status, and also stack them to find very specific participants. This allows me to identify participants who meet a certain criteria quickly and efficiently, so I can take study-related actions without needing to manipulate reports or pull data manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

If you have 'too many' participants, the EDC has a limitation based on the number of digits in the PID. For example, if you are using 5 digit PIDs such as 12345 and you surpass the PID 99999, then you will have to forfeit certain updates to future subject information for 5 PID subjects, in order to allow 6 digit subjects to be created. The reporting functionality is also limited and a bit clunky which is why I rely on filtering instead. The initial setup was semi-difficult but this is common for EDCs; they have a data management staff who help you set it up and then turn it over to you; it requires creating very detailed documentation, if even a small thing changes in that data - you have to go through a change process that seemed a bit too arduous; it also seemed like the staff were frustrated with any changes, despite being paid to do said changes. It is not the prettiest and does not feel like anything 'special'. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Affordable, Easy to Use, but Needs a Modern Interface"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I use Medrio EDC for eConsent and Electronic Data Capture purposes, and I really appreciate that the eConsent feature allows for remote monitoring. I find the customizable builds and quick turnaround from customer support very valuable. It's affordable and fairly simple/easy to use, which is a big plus for me. Also, the people are extremely nice, taking the time and care to truly understand my study, experience, and knowledge to help build the best and compliant study on their platform. The initial setup of Medrio EDC was seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I think the interface could use some improvement. It feels a little outdated compared to others and I wish it had some features that would make it easier and cleaner to use from sponsor and site level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Responsive, Professional Medrio Team That’s Great to Work With"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

The Medrio team has been very responsive and great to work with. They have been helpful and professional. As we have not moved into UAT yet it is difficult to comment on the final product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

Having to enter all edits to the eCRF design and build into an Excel issues log was rather tedious and could possibly be better streamlined but that said it seems to have worked well as all requested edits were made correctly and efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Medrio EDC Review – From a Data Manager’s Perspective"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

Medrio’s form-building interface is extremely user-friendly, making it easy to quickly create and deploy study forms without heavy programming knowledge. The user administration tools are equally efficient, with clear role-based access controls that make system setup and oversight simple across teams and sites.

Medrio’s multi-environment setup (Development, Test, and Live) supports a smooth transition from design to production, ensuring thorough validation and minimizing errors while keep a trail of the build. The platform also integrates dictionary coding (MedDRA/WHODrug), which streamlines adverse event and medication coding workflows.

The edit check and form rules engine is powerful yet flexible, allowing both simple and complex data validation logic, including skip logic and dynamic field behaviors. This greatly enhances data quality and minimizes downstream cleaning effort. The lab management module simplifies lab data integration and reference range handling across sites. I also value Medrio EDC’s granular database lock capability – being able to lock at the form, visit, subject, or site level is especially useful for large, staggered trials.

What truly enhances the experience is Medrio’s responsive and knowledgeable support team; they’re quick to assist and genuinely invested in user success.

Overall, Medrio is a reliable, flexible, efficient, and user-friendly EDC platform that supports the full data management lifecycle from study build to database lock. I highly recommend it for teams seeking efficiency, flexibility, and excellent customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

The forms library feels quite basic and would benefit from being updated to include true CDISC standard forms, along with essential programmed checks and logic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Functional but Complicated, with Integration Limits"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I like that Medrio EDC is quite fast and simple enough for users to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

The graphics are a bit outdated and complicated. It is laborious to make changes to the data because it requires confirmation for each modified data. Simply, a confirmation upon saving the page would be more efficient. The reports are neither simple nor attractive, lacking visual appeal. It is difficult for the eCFR manager to change configurations. Additionally, we were unable to integrate with our CTMS, even though we were told it was possible. Finally, it was very difficult to initially configure Medrio EDC. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

The most helpful aspect of Medrio is the ability to export data directly to excel quickly and efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

My least favorite aspect of Medrio is that there have been issues with the numbers that are being pulled in the automatic reports. However, the support team have been very responsive and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
