## Medrio EDC Reviews
  ### 1. Easy-to-Navigate Portal, minor improvements needed (follow-up)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I don’t use Medrio as regularly as I did in the past, but I’ve always appreciated how easy and straightforward it is to navigate the portal and case report forms. I also like the CRF design and the availability of TEST and other non-Production environments, since they let you verify updates to the study build and forms before moving anything into Production. I’ve used this product for a number of years at a few different companies and across various studies, and I haven’t run into any major issues. Another positive is that Medrio seems to be committed to improving the product and occasionally asks for feedback—for example, I’m aware of, and like the idea of, the AI features they were trying to implement.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

In the past, I occasionally ran into “timeout issues,” which hindered my ability to navigate after logging in which was frustrating because I needed to review data points at a critical juncture in the study. I haven’t experienced that problem recently, but I also haven’t used Medrio as frequently or as extensively as I did before, so it’s hard to say whether the issue has been fully resolved over time. Dashboards could also use improvement - although the system is designed to pull numbers based on the inputs provided, it sometimes doesn’t reflect or present certain metrics in a suitable manner that is more fitting for a teams specific needs which can sometimes makes it difficult to be fully reliable. Browse Data & Data Export filter options need some work - when updates were made for a study, the dataset outputs that were updated with a large no. of patients generated formats that are not ideal - resulting in me sorting and doing a lot of extraneous tasks to clean up the issues.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’d say Medrio meets our needs for the most part. In one of our recent meetings, they mentioned the tech team working on incorporating AI features, which I was excited to hear about, especially in terms of how it could make our workflows and day-to-day tasks on data reviews much simpler.

  ### 2. Simple UI Makes Form Building and Study Setup Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I like the simplicity of the user interface and how easy it is to develop a form and get a study started. Learning the software from the provided meetings with onboarding helped immensely too

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

My least favorite things about Medrio is the performance of the form development, taking time and resetting the form preview every time a change is made to an element. Some additional quality of life features for form development, such as being able to set formatting settings for all form questions at once rather than having to edit each individually.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Medrio EDC helps solve our clinical study development by offering a simple, cost-effective platform to quickly turn our protocols into launched studies.

  ### 3. Highly Usable Interface with Minimal Training Needed

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

The best thing about Medrio EDC is useability. The system's relatively basis interface allows first-time and returning users to navigate the system easily and to pull relevant metrics quickly without jumping through a lot of hoops that other systems may require. I also appreciate the minimal training requirements for site personnel to get access to the database allowing them to train on what we deem to be most important instead of completing many trainings on non-relevant features.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

I generally do not dislike anything about Medrio.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Medrio has allowed us to find efficiencies in building databases for similar Phase I imaging studies while building on old forms and adding new information with each.

  ### 5. Unexpected Time-Saving Tricks and an Easy EDC Build

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sydney C. | Clinical Data Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

There's a lot of useful 'tricks' in the system that I hadn't expected that will really make day-to-day tasks much easier. The making of the EDC has been an easy process and the team has made this experience 10x easier for us.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

I haven't used the EDC much, but so far I haven't found anything that I haven't liked. There have been many solutions that Medrio have been able to accommodate, I don't think we've run into anything we couldn't do yet. Just a few things to adjust.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous EDC has had audit trail trouble and a lot of bugs that we've found. So far, we haven't found many bugs and I'm hopeful there will be less bugs.

  ### 6. Fast, User-Friendly, and Well-Supported EDC Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I really appreciate Medrio EDC for offering a fast and easy-to-use software to enter CRF data in real time. I also enjoy the support staff and the reporting features. The database configuration is simple and easy to use, which is vital for my work. I enjoy the simplicity and functionality of the Medrio EDC system. I also value Laurin Willetts' support and empathy as our Medrio partner for the past 8+ years. After trying out other competitors, Medrio was the easiest and quickest to configure a study, and the initial setup was extremely easy.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

There were several features we identified that could be helpful a long time ago. These features have still not been employed. An email confirmation whenever data has been entered or changed within the system would be nice to have.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Medrio EDC for fast, real-time CRF data entry, enjoying its user-friendly configuration and valuable support staff. It's the easiest software for study setup compared to competitors.

  ### 8. Efficient Data Management with Intuitive Interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashok kumar O. | Principal Clinical Database Programmer

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I love Medrio EDC for its intuitive, user-friendly interface that makes data entry and study management much simpler. The flexibility in eCRF designing, edit check programming, and efficient query handling significantly improves data quality. The quick study setup process and responsive support are also major advantages. I find its intuitive interface particularly valuable as it reduces training time and minimizes data entry errors. Its flexible eCRF design allows efficient study builds with logical structures, while the edit check programming validates data in real-time, highlighting discrepancies early on. The straightforward query handling process fosters clear communication, enhancing the overall workflow.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

While Medrio EDC is effective overall, advanced edit check programming and reporting capabilities could be more flexible. Data Visualization options are limited, often requiring exports for deeper analysis. Some administrative and bulk actions, such as mass updates or query creation, could be more streamlined to improve efficiency, especially for larger studies.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Medrio EDC to manage clinical trial data efficiently, reducing data entry errors, and streamlining workflows. Its intuitive interface, flexible eCRF design, and effective query handling improve data quality and compliance, supporting faster and reliable study completion.

  ### 9. Challenging Setup Despite Promised Integrations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I like the fact that the test environment is separate from the production environment.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

Medrio EDC is very difficult to configure and the layout and views are a bit old, making the study look aged. It requires a lot of unnecessary justification of change from the hospital at each field they modify instead of a single verification during the saving of the form. It doesn't save the forms automatically and we often lose data. Also, they promised it would integrate with our CTMS, but that never worked. The initial setup was difficult, and we had to hire a new person.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Medrio EDC creates a platform for study centers to insert data but configuring it is difficult and the layout feels outdated. I like the separate test and production environments, but it doesn't save forms automatically, leading to data loss.

**Official Response from Rebecca Jones:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback! While we’re glad the isolated test environment works well, we take full ownership of where the platform has felt burdensome. We’ve brought your feedback to our product team to explore ways to improve.

To keep your audit trail secure and prevent accidental overwrites, forms currently require a manual save to log exact user accountability. That said, we hear you loud and clear on how this can cause accidental data loss, which is never acceptable.

If you continue to have issues in the future, please email support@medrio.com so we can help.

  ### 10. Efficient Data Access, But Needs Performance Boost

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Riona M. | Clinical Data Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I use Medrio EDC for my studies to access project-related data, and I find it very user-friendly. I appreciate how easily I can pull out required reports, like the Query Detail report, with just a few clicks, unlike other EDC systems that consume more time. The system also generates automatic queries which help me correct data efficiently. The ease of access is a standout feature for me.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

Sometimes the Medrio EDC is a bit slow while use even after having good internet connection which can be improved. Sometimes Medrio EDC takes time to login and also sometimes when pulling reports make take time to download.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Medrio EDC for accessing project data with ease. It provides auto-generated queries for data correction and allows me to quickly pull required reports, which saves time compared to other systems. It's user-friendly and accessible.

  ### 11. The Medrio EDC Pros and Cons

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

The EDCs Pros:
1- Audit trail
2- ability to export to Excel.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

Cons:
1. The user interface is very poor.
2. There are many system limitations.
3. Deleting data by mistake is too easy; for a system that handles sensitive information, this should not be the case.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1- For some records, we had to return to paper-based records. (Medrio actually complicated the records due to its limitations)
2- Most of the problems that are solved (which reduces the time needed for review ) need other extra tools and edit checks.
3- Medrio looks more capable, but unfortunately, I don't see that in the real application

**Official Response from Rebecca Jones:**

> Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with Medrio has been challenging. Protecting your data and giving you a smooth, effortless experience is our responsibility. It’s clear we fell short of making this easy for you, and we’d love the chance to get things back on track.

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

We have used this across several studies and have found it straightforward to program, easy to understand, and simple to implement. The customer support is also user-friendly and accessible.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

Most of the time, when you have a question, you are expected to check the Medrio Community Boards first to look for an answer. However, I have found it can be difficult to locate the information I need there.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small Contract Research Organization in the pharmaceutical industry, and this product has been helpful in capturing information from the sites more accurately.

  ### 14. Streamlined Clinical Trials with Ease of Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I really appreciate the functionality available for the coordinator of the clinical sites, which I find amazing. The ease of use of Medrio EDC is another aspect I think is the best thing about it. The implementation was easy, especially since some sites were already using some form of EDC system, making integration smooth. I also had a very good experience with the initial setup, thanks to a very good project manager whose response time and proactive approach were key in our decision-making process.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

I don’t have any complaints

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Medrio EDC to manage clinical trials, avoiding tedious paper case report forms. Its ease of use and integration with sites make implementation smooth, enhancing our overall experience.

  ### 15. Remote Monitoring Made Easy but Needs Inventory Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I like Medrio EDC for its real-time access to data. Although it took some time to get used to the new system, since it's my first exposure to Medrio, I'm gaining comfort with it.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

I'd like to see a means of monitoring or managing inventory for test articles out at the sites, to know when we need to send a resupply. It's also important to keep track of the number of doses on-site and projected exhaustion or total use of products at each site.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Medrio EDC to monitor activities, issues, and adverse events remotely instead of being on-site. It provides real-time access to data, which I really like.

  ### 16. World-Class Medrio Support Team and a Robust Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon A. | Sr. Clinical Database Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

We have been using Medrio for a while now, and what truly stands out is the caliber of their employees. Every interaction, from initial setup to day-to-day support, has been marked by an exceptional level of professionalism.

The team is consistently knowledgeable, efficient, and deeply committed to ensuring our success with their platform. Beyond their expertise, everyone we've engaged with has been incredibly polite and a pleasure to work with. They manage inquiries with patience and a clear focus on helpful resolution. It's rare to find a clinical software company with such a consistently high standard of customer care. Highly recommended for both their robust product and world-class personnel.

Brandon A.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

I’m not a fan of the UAT process as it is today. I really wish the system included an integrated UAT feature, so the workflow could be handled directly within the platform.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Medrio helps capture the data we need to complete our clinical trials. It benefits me by providing a cost-effective, compliant software system that supports our work.

  ### 17. Recent version is causing page-jumps when I click "Save and Continue".

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

relatively simple. But this new bug where I complete the 1st eCRF of a visit, click "Save and Continue" and am brought to a random visit - in the event of which I have to click out of the visit and find the original page I was working on.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

loading time between pages. Its gotten better, but still waisting a significant amount of time for pages to load.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I cannot provide insight here

**Official Response from Rebecca Jones:**

> Thank you for the feedback! We’re glad the platform feels relatively simple and that you’ve noticed the improved load times. That said, we know waiting on pages to load is burdensome, and we are dedicated to making this faster.

We completely understand how frustrating that redirect bug is, too. Our engineering team has already identified the issue and has a fix ready for our very next software release!

If you spot any bugs in the future, please feel free to reach out to support@medrio.com. We're always ready to jump in and help right away.

  ### 18. Simplicity and Reliability at Its Best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiki D.

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I really appreciate the simplicity of Medrio EDC. It's very easy to use and really straightforward. I find the user interface appealing and intuitive, which doesn't overwhelm, especially for those new to the industry. It's a good place to start with EDC tools. I also find it reliable, which is crucial because you want a tool that's not just simple but also dependable. We've used Medrio EDC for a long time, and I like it. The initial setup was very easy, and even though I'm on the clinical and medical side, it was simple for me to get involved in setting it up. Overall, it's been quite easy to use for all the studies I've been involved in, making it a reliable choice.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

I mean, what doesn't work well with me off the top of my head, I can't really think of any. I mean, it serves most of my needs. There's always little tweaks and quirks here and there. That can be improved, but, generally, nothing major.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Medrio EDC for clinical trials; it simplifies data collection with its easy-to-use, standardized approach. It's reliable and intuitive, making it straightforward for new users and ensures all sites have no issues using it.

  ### 19. Good EDC with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alicia P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I like the filtering available in Medrio EDC; I can filter by anything from site to actual CRF to status, and also stack them to find very specific participants. This allows me to identify participants who meet a certain criteria quickly and efficiently, so I can take study-related actions without needing to manipulate reports or pull data manually.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

If you have 'too many' participants, the EDC has a limitation based on the number of digits in the PID. For example, if you are using 5 digit PIDs such as 12345 and you surpass the PID 99999, then you will have to forfeit certain updates to future subject information for 5 PID subjects, in order to allow 6 digit subjects to be created. The reporting functionality is also limited and a bit clunky which is why I rely on filtering instead. The initial setup was semi-difficult but this is common for EDCs; they have a data management staff who help you set it up and then turn it over to you; it requires creating very detailed documentation, if even a small thing changes in that data - you have to go through a change process that seemed a bit too arduous; it also seemed like the staff were frustrated with any changes, despite being paid to do said changes. It is not the prettiest and does not feel like anything 'special'.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Medrio EDC helps me capture data in a Part 11 compliant way and communicate seamlessly with multiple sites. It simplifies data clean-up through query resolution and built-in logic flags. Its filtering options allow me to identify specific participants quickly, reducing manual data work.

  ### 20. Affordable, Easy to Use, but Needs a Modern Interface

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monserrat B.

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I use Medrio EDC for eConsent and Electronic Data Capture purposes, and I really appreciate that the eConsent feature allows for remote monitoring. I find the customizable builds and quick turnaround from customer support very valuable. It's affordable and fairly simple/easy to use, which is a big plus for me. Also, the people are extremely nice, taking the time and care to truly understand my study, experience, and knowledge to help build the best and compliant study on their platform. The initial setup of Medrio EDC was seamless.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

I think the interface could use some improvement. It feels a little outdated compared to others and I wish it had some features that would make it easier and cleaner to use from sponsor and site level.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Medrio EDC's eConsent feature enables remote monitoring, and it offers customizable builds with quick customer support. It's affordable and simple to use.

  ### 21. Effortless Setup and Customization with Exceptional Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

I find Medrio EDC's user interface really helpful, and it makes working with EDC easier for me. The support team is super helpful and knowledgeable, which is great. I also appreciate how easy to use the system is. The customization options are very beneficial for us, as our protocol is specific and requires special data sets. Medrio builders manage to make it work flawlessly. The initial setup was smooth, and it was the best build and UAT I've experienced.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

Its a great product

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Medrio EDC has a helpful user interface, is easy to use, and allows for custom solutions. It smoothly handles our specific protocol needs, ensuring flawless operation.

  ### 22. Medrio is very efficient and streamlining with our data management perfectly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eh-Sanus F.

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

support service, easy to use, Cost, mostly meet all our requirement.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

Reporting and dashboard is not very user friendly, we use our own report and dashboard. Lab management should be built in Dev and can be deployed to test and live. Once we launch live environment it is kind of rush for us to add all the ranges.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot of, updated VAS scale so the score is not visible, updated grid tables a lot.

**Official Response from Rebecca Jones:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback! Reporting should make your job easier, not harder, so we take your frustration seriously. **Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

Easy to use, well organized and intuitive

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

Some rules are tricky to compose, reports could be easier and more standardized, help section should be easier to access without having to complete multiple modules

**Reviewed by:** Philippa Q. | Clinical Operations Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

The Medrio team has been very responsive and great to work with. They have been helpful and professional. As we have not moved into UAT yet it is difficult to comment on the final product.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

Having to enter all edits to the eCRF design and build into an Excel issues log was rather tedious and could possibly be better streamlined but that said it seems to have worked well as all requested edits were made correctly and efficiently.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Medrio EDC is building our EDC platform without which it would be impossible to effectively conduct and monitor our trial.

  ### 28. Medrio EDC Review – From a Data Manager’s Perspective

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George N. | Data Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

Medrio’s form-building interface is extremely user-friendly, making it easy to quickly create and deploy study forms without heavy programming knowledge. The user administration tools are equally efficient, with clear role-based access controls that make system setup and oversight simple across teams and sites.

Medrio’s multi-environment setup (Development, Test, and Live) supports a smooth transition from design to production, ensuring thorough validation and minimizing errors while keep a trail of the build. The platform also integrates dictionary coding (MedDRA/WHODrug), which streamlines adverse event and medication coding workflows.

The edit check and form rules engine is powerful yet flexible, allowing both simple and complex data validation logic, including skip logic and dynamic field behaviors. This greatly enhances data quality and minimizes downstream cleaning effort. The lab management module simplifies lab data integration and reference range handling across sites. I also value Medrio EDC’s granular database lock capability – being able to lock at the form, visit, subject, or site level is especially useful for large, staggered trials.

What truly enhances the experience is Medrio’s responsive and knowledgeable support team; they’re quick to assist and genuinely invested in user success.

Overall, Medrio is a reliable, flexible, efficient, and user-friendly EDC platform that supports the full data management lifecycle from study build to database lock. I highly recommend it for teams seeking efficiency, flexibility, and excellent customer support.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

The forms library feels quite basic and would benefit from being updated to include true CDISC standard forms, along with essential programmed checks and logic.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a clinical trial data manager, I have found that Medrio EDC has made my work much easier. At the beginning of a trial, it helps to speed up the development of eCRFs, which is often a time-consuming process for large studies. Additionally, it simplifies the task of programming complex edit checks, making data cleaning more efficient. The intuitive form builder, customizable edit checks, and real-time data validation all contribute to significantly reducing both build and review timelines.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

colorful, and organized, queries field is slightly cluttered.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

Every time you enter in data into a field it, then need to change it before leaving the screen it asks you why you have to change the data, I wish I could have a save button that would allow me to make changes then save then after I save then ask me why I needed to make changes.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is allowing us to direct data enter rather than going back and charting from the Patients medical record

**Official Response from Rebecca Jones:**

> Thank you for the review! We’re thrilled Medrio is keeping your work organized while eliminating data transcription for your team.

We also completely hear you on the change justification prompts feeling clunky. That workflow is built in to ensure proper auditability and prevent data from being saved without a logged reason. Still, we know those extra steps add up, and we take full ownership of making compliance feel smoother.

  ### 31. Functional but Complicated, with Integration Limits

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tommaso .

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I like that Medrio EDC is quite fast and simple enough for users to use.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

The graphics are a bit outdated and complicated. It is laborious to make changes to the data because it requires confirmation for each modified data. Simply, a confirmation upon saving the page would be more efficient. The reports are neither simple nor attractive, lacking visual appeal. It is difficult for the eCFR manager to change configurations. Additionally, we were unable to integrate with our CTMS, even though we were told it was possible. Finally, it was very difficult to initially configure Medrio EDC.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wouldn't say it solves problems, but Medrio EDC allows hospitals to enter data, lets me view them, offers an audit log, access control, and a query history for each field.

The customization is very flexible; it allows us to quickly support multiple study types and multiple eCRFs implemented within the system. Also, being able to quickly deploy future studies based on the templates allows for speed of build and release.
Key for us is the technical support also. Have a direct expert work with us, learn our studies and know what to look for during build and roll out has been amazing.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

I would like to see an ability to have a form that is relevant for multiple samples be uploaded once and attached to all samples in that run versus having to upload the same source document for multiple samples, it would reduce the effort we ask sites to do in uploads and likely reduce queries.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is allowing us to easily capture data from sites and monitor the information to then create reliable line listings for analysis. Also having multiple studies easily built and deployed in a quick manner is key.

  ### 47. Medrio Review by Study Builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

I’ve been using Medrio EDC at my current company for about three years, and it’s genuinely one of the most user-friendly and reliable data-capture systems I’ve worked with. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes it simple not only to build and configure studies but also to train site staff — even those with limited prior EDC experience.

One of the things I appreciate most is how efficient the study-build process is. The drag-and-drop design tools and flexible configuration options make it easy to set up forms, apply edit checks, and make mid-study changes without disrupting ongoing work.

Their customer support team also deserves special mention. Whenever I’ve had a question or run into a challenge, their response has been quick, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented. In three years of use, I’ve never encountered an issue that couldn’t be resolved.

Overall, I’d highly recommend Medrio EDC for teams looking for a straightforward, responsive, and well-supported platform that makes data management and study setup smooth from start to finish.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

Sometimes I have issues with loading the BYO reports since they are so large.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Medrio EDC helps streamline the entire clinical data management process by making study builds and data collection much faster and easier. In my role, I use Medrio to design and launch studies quickly, without needing extensive programming support. The platform’s intuitive interface and flexible form builder make it simple to configure studies and apply mid-study updates efficiently.

Once live, data collection is smooth and reliable, allowing sites to enter data easily and for our team to access clean datasets in real time for quick analyses and decision-making. Overall, Medrio has significantly reduced our setup time and improved data visibility, which helps us move studies forward faster.

  ### 48. Easy to use and set up

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

Great support whenever I've reached out for assistance

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

The listings could be better. A more generalized subject status tracker would be really helpful, and I'm finding that my team needs to manually filter the available listings quite a lot to tease out counts and percentages.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a easy system to set up new databases.

  ### 49. Efficient EDC Platform with Room for Improvements

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

What I like most about Medrio EDC is its intuitive and user-friendly design environment, which makes it very easy to edit forms and allows me to quickly and efficiently build complete Case Report Forms (CRFs) without needing extensive programming knowledge.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

What I find challenging about Medrio EDC is the strict deployment process, which requires all environments—such as testing, UAT, and production—to be kept exactly the same. This can be quite inconvenient, especially when managing multiple sites or making quick updates. Additionally, permissions and roles need to be configured individually for each environment, which adds extra steps and makes overall system management more time-consuming.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the problems Medrio EDC helped me solve was related to system integration. I had questions regarding the use of XML code for integration purposes, and Medrio provided me with a clear and complete response. This allowed me to communicate effectively with our external vendor and move the integration process forward smoothly.

  ### 50. User-Friendly and Customizable EDC with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather N. | Director, CPM, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Medrio EDC?**

Medrio EDC is very user friendly, both from a design and end user perspective. The ability to customize the EDC throughout the course of a study is helpful to allow for changes in study design, etc. Additionally, the ability to copy previously used variables from other projects simplifies the time requirements for development. The skip logic and edit check features have reduced data entry errors significantly. The initial training modules, along with customer support and BD support provided from contracting to study closure, help to streamline work flow.

**What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?**

It would be helpful if there was a spell check feature for "Text or Any Value" data types, and also if there was a capability to change a data type from single select to multiselect once date entry has begun.

**What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Medrio EDC allows flexibility in design and ease of use for data entry. It's improved our team's efficiency from EDC development to end of study.
