"Medrio EDC Review – From a Data Manager’s Perspective"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

Medrio’s form-building interface is extremely user-friendly, making it easy to quickly create and deploy study forms without heavy programming knowledge. The user administration tools are equally efficient, with clear role-based access controls that make system setup and oversight simple across teams and sites.

Medrio’s multi-environment setup (Development, Test, and Live) supports a smooth transition from design to production, ensuring thorough validation and minimizing errors while keep a trail of the build. The platform also integrates dictionary coding (MedDRA/WHODrug), which streamlines adverse event and medication coding workflows.

The edit check and form rules engine is powerful yet flexible, allowing both simple and complex data validation logic, including skip logic and dynamic field behaviors. This greatly enhances data quality and minimizes downstream cleaning effort. The lab management module simplifies lab data integration and reference range handling across sites. I also value Medrio EDC’s granular database lock capability – being able to lock at the form, visit, subject, or site level is especially useful for large, staggered trials.

What truly enhances the experience is Medrio’s responsive and knowledgeable support team; they’re quick to assist and genuinely invested in user success.

Overall, Medrio is a reliable, flexible, efficient, and user-friendly EDC platform that supports the full data management lifecycle from study build to database lock. I highly recommend it for teams seeking efficiency, flexibility, and excellent customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

The forms library feels quite basic and would benefit from being updated to include true CDISC standard forms, along with essential programmed checks and logic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Form Building and Data Entry—Medrio Makes EDC a Breeze"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

Medrio is highly user-friendly, and I truly appreciate how easy it is to create forms and configure skip logic using its intuitive plug-and-play features. Setting up edit checks was also a smooth process. Our sites found the system simple to use and did not experience any problems with data entry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I haven't found any drawbacks with Medrio EDC, except perhaps the pace at which new features are introduced. I'm looking forward to seeing what enhancements they bring to the system in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Easy Database Setup with Good Documentation"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I find Medrio EDC to be incredibly intuitive and easy to use, which significantly aids in building databases. The process is straightforward, as one only needs to navigate through tabs to complete the setup, requiring no coding experience. This ease of configuration allows me to create databases in a timely manner. Additionally, the comprehensive documentation support is of great value; it provides straightforward guides on every function within the system, enabling me to solve problems that arise during the build effectively. The initial setup of Medrio EDC was also very simple and easy to learn, particularly with the aid of the documentation. Overall, these aspects make the software both user-friendly and efficient, enhancing my experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I don't like that feature requests sit around for so long. I also feel like there could be more sophisticated reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Customization and Outstanding Support Accelerate Study Deployment"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

The customization is very flexible; it allows us to quickly support multiple study types and multiple eCRFs implemented within the system. Also, being able to quickly deploy future studies based on the templates allows for speed of build and release.

Key for us is the technical support also. Have a direct expert work with us, learn our studies and know what to look for during build and roll out has been amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I would like to see an ability to have a form that is relevant for multiple samples be uploaded once and attached to all samples in that run versus having to upload the same source document for multiple samples, it would reduce the effort we ask sites to do in uploads and likely reduce queries. "Medrio Review by Study Builder"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I’ve been using Medrio EDC at my current company for about three years, and it’s genuinely one of the most user-friendly and reliable data-capture systems I’ve worked with. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes it simple not only to build and configure studies but also to train site staff — even those with limited prior EDC experience.

One of the things I appreciate most is how efficient the study-build process is. The drag-and-drop design tools and flexible configuration options make it easy to set up forms, apply edit checks, and make mid-study changes without disrupting ongoing work.

Their customer support team also deserves special mention. Whenever I’ve had a question or run into a challenge, their response has been quick, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented. In three years of use, I’ve never encountered an issue that couldn’t be resolved.

Overall, I’d highly recommend Medrio EDC for teams looking for a straightforward, responsive, and well-supported platform that makes data management and study setup smooth from start to finish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Features, Needs Better Data Analysis and Usability"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I find Medrio EDC quite beneficial for capturing data accurately and efficiently during clinical trials. I appreciate that it allows for real-time visibility into enrollment status, which is incredibly useful for tracking study progress. Additionally, the ability to create queries and have them addressed promptly enhances the data collection process. Having reports that show protocol deviations and enrollment status is also useful, providing valuable insights into the study. Moreover, Medrio EDC's pricing is reasonable compared to its competitors, which is a significant factor for continued use, especially since it performs the same functions effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I encountered some issues with usage, particularly finding the process of exporting data not straightforward. I also have difficulty remembering how to export the data each time, which is frustrating. Additionally, I feel that Medrio EDC lacks sufficient data analysis options and could be more user-friendly when it comes to analyzing data and generating reports. "Efficient EDC Platform with Room for Improvements"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

What I like most about Medrio EDC is its intuitive and user-friendly design environment, which makes it very easy to edit forms and allows me to quickly and efficiently build complete Case Report Forms (CRFs) without needing extensive programming knowledge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

What I find challenging about Medrio EDC is the strict deployment process, which requires all environments—such as testing, UAT, and production—to be kept exactly the same. This can be quite inconvenient, especially when managing multiple sites or making quick updates. Additionally, permissions and roles need to be configured individually for each environment, which adds extra steps and makes overall system management more time-consuming. "User-Friendly and Customizable EDC with Excellent Support"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

Medrio EDC is very user friendly, both from a design and end user perspective. The ability to customize the EDC throughout the course of a study is helpful to allow for changes in study design, etc. Additionally, the ability to copy previously used variables from other projects simplifies the time requirements for development. The skip logic and edit check features have reduced data entry errors significantly. The initial training modules, along with customer support and BD support provided from contracting to study closure, help to streamline work flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

It would be helpful if there was a spell check feature for "Text or Any Value" data types, and also if there was a capability to change a data type from single select to multiselect once date entry has begun. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable EDC with Stellar Support and Flexibility"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I have used Medrio EDC for over ten years primarily for real-world evidence studies and love using it. Medrio EDC was the clear winner after an extensive review process, and it stood out due to its user-friendly nature and excellent customer support. Setting up Medrio was straightforward, owing to the excellent customer support and technical resources they provided. Medrio EDC allows us to create and edit EDCs in near real-time, which has significantly streamlined our processes. I find all of the features extremely useful, especially the ability to export data into analysis-ready data sets, change forms effortlessly, and create studies very quickly. Furthermore, Medrio EDC offers flexibility in usage fees and thus aligns well with our goals. The team's willingness to work with us and understand our needs further enhances the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I would change almost nothing about the EDC itself. Sometimes with multiple recurring studies, the paperwork to extend them becomes a little bit burdensome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cost-Effective with Excellent Data Access"
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I appreciate Medrio EDC for its cost-effective advantages and the user-friendly experience it offers, which were key reasons for switching to it. I like the ability to visualize and access the necessary data easily, which is crucial for my work in medical device research, monitoring, and patient data management. This function makes the process seamless and efficient for me. The data visualization feature particularly stands out and enhances my ability to manage tasks effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I find the setup of Medrio EDC to be cumbersome as it involves several meetings to ensure everyone is aligned. Additionally, I am frustrated by the limited access to make changes after the final design build—it would be beneficial to have a thirty or sixty day reassessment period to introduce necessary modifications easily.
