"The simplest and effective tool for traceability management Matrix Requirements"

What do you like best about Matrix Req?

For our Technical File, we use MatrixRequirements, a comprehensive platform that integrates the management of requirements, tests, test runs, risks and associated documentation in the medical device field. MatrixRequirements has been designed with great flexibility in mind, offering the possibility of configuring every aspect according to the specific needs of each company. This adaptability makes it possible to create customized categories to manage items such as 62304-compliant checklists, or cybersecurity analyses including vulnerabilities, threats, assets, and risks.

By using MatrixRequirements, companies can effectively structure their practices, fostering optimal collaboration between R&D and quality teams. The tool guarantees simple, intuitive traceability, eliminating the burden of old methods that required hours of tedious work on endless spreadsheets.

MatrixRequirements transforms traceability into a powerful tool for identifying gaps, areas not covered by testing and missing elements. The tool offers an advanced search function with a user-friendly query language for rapid access to essential information.

MatrixRequirements allows you to store your documents, and offers document review and signature functions, as well as the option of publishing them. What's more, it complies with ISO 27001 standards, guaranteeing the security of stored information.

"Using Matrix for Years for test and requirement development."

What do you like best about Matrix Req?

What do you dislike about Matrix Req?

Search engine could use improvement, small bugs here and there.

Matrix Server Administration (Backend) needs some improvement, folders for projects would be very helpful. Now it is very hard to track which projects are related. If Matrix backend allowed folder creation for projects, that would be very helpful in the project mangement.

Integration with other software tools and automation engines would be great.

Enabling to use 0s before ID numbers would be very helpful. For example, requirement IDs are displayed as REQ-435, it would be helpful if we could have REQ-0435. If this is not possible in Matrix itself, it would be great if exported documents could have this option. We are going through exported documents and adding 0s manually. "Matrix ALM and QMS"

What do you like best about Matrix Req?

Matrix Requirements is an excellent off-the-shelf package for projects and managing documentation, requirements and planning within the ALM module. The off-the-shelf QMS package aligns with ISO 13485 and 820 allowing for flexibility in aligning the business to relevant requirements. The ease of use and administrative tasks are well managed and timely response to fix/assist with questions and issues is fantastic. Built-in Risk and CAPA modules are of good value and require minimal adjustment to suit business needs. The ability to link to Jira is a good function that allows agile work.

As a daily user, I find the package easy to navigate and work within. Experiences from the team are positive and all users work well within both packages. Implementation of the software is not automatically forced and any upgrades can be discussed both internally and with Matrix before the patch is applied. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Matrix Req?

Internal table functions could be better handled to allow for autofill and freezing of column and row headers. Reporting package for data analysis could be improved to allow for better analysis within Matrix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Matrix Req solving and how is that benefiting you?

Enabling the company to manage all its project documentation from requirements through to documentation, risk and verification within the ALM package. The eQMS allows for users to access the company SOPs and WIs with ease through Live QMS and eliminates the need for a paper QMS. The functionality of training on SOPs and Wis is easily managed and understandable. The daily notifications email from within Matrix to users is helping to ensure that documentation is completed and signed within a timely manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Matrix requirements software is a thumbs up for handling QMS virtually.

The interface is well designed, Easy-to-implement and User-friendly.

Shifting from Hard Copy Documentation to Digital Documentation has been benificial.

What do you like best about Matrix Req?

The matrix manual provided is very clear and helpful. The videos and pictures are great learning aids. The customer support is excellent with a very fast and useful response time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Matrix Req?

Some of the functions I was not able to undesterstand and therefore use such as PRINT tables. I still have a notification for obsolete documents that are missing my signature but do not require a signature because they are obsolete. Formatting and colours of the documents are not very easy to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is compliant and robust enough for a QMS managment software. It's customizable and can be improved to work with unique systems and growing/changing systems. It can cover and store documents from a wide range of needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Overall the user interface is clunky and dated it reminds me of a much older style software. Approval of documents and change orders can require multiple steps and at times is not obvious and has too many extra steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
