Can be difficult to update availability; not super user friendly in that way.

Nearly impossible to schedule someone outside of their availability by accident!

looking back historically, looking week to week over and extending time period isn't the easiset.

I like being able to make predesignated shifts.  It's easy to grab the shift and drag it to the correct day.  I share employees with another store and makeshift also makes that very easy to do.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

I wish there was a button to simply delete an entire week and start over.

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Make shift makes sharing schedules with the staff easy.  With instant notifications there is no need to worry if one of my team members is aware of their shift time.

**What do you like best about MakeShift?**

I appreciate the fact that it's easy to learn how to use it and also easy to teach others how to use it. I appreciate the app as well. What is most helpful about the app is that it simplifies features from the desktop version.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

I don't like having to take a photograph at clock-in. HOwever, I'm not sure if that's a setting my employer has in place. What would be nice to see is the picture/location feature being disabled.

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with facilitating OHL operations and making those go smoothly. I have also used other scheduling platforms that were very confusing and not super user friendly, therefore I really appreciate how manageable Makeshift is.

It is pretty easy to schedule my staff and have them sign in. Running a spreadsheet for is also easy

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

IT would be great to have a feature to update salaries without having to do each employee for each job manually. Also a payroll interface with Deluxe payroll would be appreciated.

The simplicity of the app, easy to change shifts as well as moving and make new hours for the employees. It took no time to try and learn the app with the step-by-step guide.

I dont dislike much about the app. Sometimes it is hard to try and print but other than that its easy!

Our business had a few special requests and they met each one.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

We had a few sync errors once we started using the software, but we all cleaned up.

Three clinics and over 100 employees and we wanted to create an all-employee accessible schedule. All employees are able to see who's working at any given time.

It's live scheduling that is up to the minute with all team members. I personally like the Makeshift Connect as well.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

My only suggestion would be to make Makeshift Connect more editable. Being able to delete group messages, adding people, etc.

It makes my scheduling easy. I love how it is up to the second and in this type of world today, it meshes well. I like how user friendly it is as well.

Alexandra was great.  I love having employee information at my fingertips and the ability to change/exchange shifts as needed without being connected to my computer.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

I would love to able to make an announcement from the app. It would also be nice to see just my community versus the entire company employee when looking at the directory.

It helps me stay on top of employee absences.

That there's a Makeshift live app where mangers can make changes and don't have to go on a computer to fix shifts, etc

That the app does not let you copy weeks like the desktop version does

Reminding me when people do not clock in and out. It happens very often and I like getting the notifications to make sure people are getting in their correct hours

I love maneuvering my way through the Dashboard and  the Schedule updates are a breeze

I really can't think of anything I dislike about Makeshift

I am able to Dispatch my Officers much more quickly. The alerts when an Officer has not clocked in are beneficial for me. When I get busy, the signal is a great tool to know who to reach out to and check their safety.

**What do you like best about MakeShift?**

The general overview of the platform was straightforward to navigate. It was beneficial to see the allotted labor budgets. The click-and-drag function for scheduling was also seamless.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

When adding a new employee to the profile, a couple of pages need to be updated, and it can get a bit tedious to continuously save the entered data. We would have to confirm the employee's employment status, click save, designate their job sites and save, and finally send out the invite email.

Makeshift has improved the process for our employees to request shifts and for our scheduling managers to automate the release of schedules and shift approvals.

Ease of use. Takes hardly any time to acclimate new personnel to use the software. The program is drag and drop which makes things convenient instead of searching through long lists of employees to find the person you want to assign.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

It would be nice to have the ability to create Job Sites while entering the shift instead of shutting the entry and going to a separate page to accomplish this.

Easier to use for visual scheduling than ADP. Allows employees to bid on shifts that they want to work. Messaging is convenient and allows for quick communication with employees regarding open shifts.

I find that it is very user-friendly! I like that you were able to use templates and that is has an app for your phone. Highly recommend this for your business scheduling staff.

The problems with keeping track of staff and scheduling is solved by using makeshift as it is all organized and easy to use.

It's very easy to update to your business needs. Adding new people and detailed in the update shouts and availability for people on your team. Making the hours you need.

I dislike that someone can update their availability without notice u til you make the schedules and see that can't work.

I like that you can set a budget and it'd yoh go over it turns red and you need to trim. Made my life much easier

The constant struggle while building schedules having to to to another screen to pull the report to see where we sit then go back and make changes.

I like the ease of use. The only thing I wish it had was the capability to unpost a schedule after it's been posted on accident. Also needs the compatibility to use on iPad and iPhone.

Not able to unpost a schedule. The lack of compatibility to work on the schedule via iPhone or iPad.

The interaction between makeshift and ADP is good and helps with payroll getting completed correctly.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

It is not easy to use or publish a schedule. I also run into a lot of trouble with caregivers who have used it other places and do not have a secondary email address.

Makeshift helps to keep track of call offs and keeps block schedules well.

It's general ease of use - nobody has a lot of problems using the platform and once shown most users can navigate makeshift well. Makeshift meets our day to day need and we have no overall complaint.

The function of having to move back and forth between schedule and timesheet when approving

Makeshift allows us to communicate staffing needs quickly. We can keep staff updated when not on site.  It allows shifts to be distributed equitably and fairly.

The announcement feature is great but would be even better if staff could reply via the app to those announcements.

Allowing all staff notice of available shifts complies wonderfully with union collective agreements

Makeshift is a great way to allow staff to independently view their schedule, request time off and communicate anywhere digitally in real time.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

The drop shift notification does not work, there is no alert when a person drops or swaps a shift.

Makeshift allowed me to cover shifts faster with out having to contact each employee individually.

It could use more specific data reports and more data reports in general.

**What do you like best about MakeShift?**

Creating payroll spreadsheets and monitoring time clock punches is easy on MakeShift. The ability for staff to set and keep their availability updated is useful.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

Department schedules cannot be layered on top of each other on different tabs.  Switching between departments while scheduling can be cumbersome. Also, having a search bar when assigning employees through the available shift tab or positions tab would be very useful!

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MakeShift is used for payroll and scheduling purposes. We chose the software because they were integrated with ADP, which we use for all employees' payroll services.

Makeshift makes it very clear how to schedule your team. My experience with the application has been smooth and easy to grasp. Even my employees have no issues

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

I wish the color gradient was a bit darker as the screen is bright white with gray text.  It'll make it easier on the eyes!

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makeshift is solving having to schedule in your own. You can even integrate the app with ADP to make processing timesheets faster. I also like how you can download copies of the timesheets as well for your own records.

I like the ease if the apps and interface. The flexibility within the dashboard is fantastic and aesthetically pleasing which is a huge plus!

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

I dislike the inability to communicate via the app aside from Announcements. It's also difficult to see what shifts are scheduled across a week span aside from using the "Positions" view point.

Ease of requesting time off, finding coverage for shifts, and making it easy to navigate the scheduling & availability aspect of running a budget for all ages! It's helpful.

i would like to see the different cilas seperated by color.

I really like how easy Makeshift is to learn. You get a lot of training before using it, too.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

I haven't found anything that I dislike about the program yet.

I can put schedules in for several weeks at a time. Also, if I change a schedule, it updates almost immediately.

It is unfortunate, but I really don't have many positive things to say about makeshift. It is the most complicated and user-friendly scheduling platform I have ever

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

Having to toggle back-and-forth between employees and positions is difficult. Also, the way the schedule shows up in the app on my phone as a manager is very difficult to look at. In addition, and having to click a position after I have dragged and dropped something into position is an added step that makes no sense

None whatsoever

I love the swap shift function, it's very easy to coordinate changing shifts.

It allows less work for schedule  as staff can work and swap shifts, and then schedule approves it.

Makeshift is easy to navigate, Easily able to differentiate between staff members' shifts, Both desktop and mobile versions are very similar in terms of navigation.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

Would like to be able to color coat each staff member's shifts, Have the option to not have the green availability boxes within the schedule (If staff are not available certain days, they should not show up on the schedule)

Consistently updating the app/desktop version, continually rectifying on going issues.

Audit trails are easy to review. Shift assignments and postings are easy. Moving shifts are easy between employees.

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

Wish multiple shifts could be assigned on the same day to a person to allow trading/tentative time off. Would be nice to sort staff per user vs by department.

**What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Viewing available shifts to fill and staff knowing on their device rather than relying on paper.  Real time acceptance/assignment of shifts.

It is fairly user-friendly.  It was easy to set up a schedule and it allows staff to easily access and request shifts

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

The phone app is very sticky.  When things get shifted by mistake, there is no un-do option

It allows a person to visualize the scheduling in a more colour fashion so it is easier to see what gaps need to be addressed

I like that employees can check their schedule or request of from anywhere

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

I hate that there is no cut off for requests and that I can't block days.  My schedule can be completed and not posted but because servers have the ability to request off they think they should be granted the request.

they aren't solving my issue, its why we are looking elsewhere

From an administrative standpoint, there are certain things that I cannot view that a regular viewer can (dropping shifts) Also, I think that there should be a copy/paste template.

It is easy to use and easy for new hire employees to navigate the system.

It is convenient to operate my time card on my phone.  It seems to be pretty reliable

**What do you dislike about MakeShift?**

The "break " button is very close to the "punch out " button.  It creates a lot of mispunches that we have to correct every week.
