I really like that Magnetic captures all the information in a central place, which is super beneficial. It provides a way to keep track of things by offering backward referrals. I find that connecting and better integration could be improved, especially regarding editability. The web interface is great and does what it needs to do, but sometimes when I have a couple of tabs open and there's a job in progress, it drops a thing or loses something, requiring me to go back to it and do a lot of relinking. Like that there multiple ways to track time and work, you are not confined to one way of doing things. For me the best screen is the timesheet screen, I can have full view of my week and my task, as well as what I can tracked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Two things. One on MacOS I never seem to get notification right way, they only sound when I reload the site. I never had this issue with Windows. Two the job overview page (I think thats what its called) can be confusing. Just too much information one page, somethings it hard to find the right comments. It's great at managing tasks, particularly when it comes to handling recurring ones. Magnetic also offers strong reporting options and allows you to see client profitability at a glance. While we didn't make use of the finance features, the option to issue CEs and invoices directly from Magnetic is a valuable addition.

Getting the team to adopt this tool has proven to be difficult. Additionally, allowing team members to enter their own hours directly into the timesheet creates opportunities for misuse. We use Magnetic at Banter Digital to manage job-bag creation, cost estimates, project tracking and invoicing, all in one unified system. What I love most: you don’t need 4 to 5 different tools to manage CRM, billing, project timelines, resource scheduling, finance and reporting. Magnetic simply brings everything under one roof, which keeps things clean, organised and visible across the entire team.

Since adopting it, our internal admin load has dropped significantly. Tasks and budgets flow through one central system, meaning fewer mix-ups, less time chasing updates, and greater clarity on profitability per project. It helps us stay efficient, client-ready and financially grounded.

The downside is that I can't run statements for clients; I have to export CSV files, import into other software to run statements.

While Magnetic provides strong invoicing, billing, expense tracking and profit reporting — it's not a full-blown full-accounting package (i.e. general ledger, tax filings, payroll, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, etc.). For those more advanced accounting needs, you’d want to use an external accounting tool (like Xero) integrated with Magnetic. The integration support strongly suggests this route. There is potentially inherited functions/features which are no longer required that create bloat on the software. What is seen by a benefit to some is that there are many ways of doing something,. but at the same time, this could be a negative as well, unless there is a central person within the business that constantly drives a consistent way of using the platform. It gets out of the way. The project, time and finance tools actually talk to each other, so you’re not jumping between five systems to do one job. It cuts admin, not adds to it, which is a minor miracle in agency software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was great to transition from a resource tracking spreadsheet to a more robust solution, with allowed us to efficiently allocate resources as well as store all project briefs and comms in one place.

The system has good up time, is easy to use and the support staff are helpful and efficient.

We love the ability to work together on tasks as a team, as well as tracking resources in the team scheduler, and the HR functionalities for timesheets, leave tracking and so much more are super. Our sales team loves the capability of tracking their sales calls and meetings, and where in the sales process they are with prospects. Our project team uses Magnetic to track projects and assign tasks to various team members from graphic designers, to copywriters, SEO specialists and Advertising Managers. I appreciate Magnetic's affordability, which was a significant factor for us. The setup process was made easy and painless thanks to the incredible support from the Magnetic team, who assisted us in importing our information and configuring the platform to suit our company's needs. Magnetic provides excellent insights into our company's profitability on a client and service level, something we struggled with before, and their team's assistance in reporting has been beneficial. The platform offers a great overview of company activities with just a click, which is a tremendous advantage. Generating tasks from a CE improves efficiency by reducing unnecessary administrative work. The recon and in-depth item type reports are excellent, and the overservice tracking feature is impressive, sending alerts when we reach 75% of our budget. I love the platform's seamless integration with our accounting system, Xero. The regular check-ins and training from the support team whenever new features launch, ensuring the implementation fits our business, further add to the value.
