LocalMed allows my patients to schedule their own appointments on my website. This is awesome, since some patients are wanting to make an appointment after business hours. I have realized that this allows my business to capture those patients; instead of loosing them to another office that is open for scheduling. It is pretty easy for a patient to click on your website to begin the scheduling process. There are a lot of settings that are customizable to your specific business. This allows me to maintain control of my schedule. I also use localmed if I am at an event and need to schedule a patient remotely. Simple to set up an appointment for a potential patient this way. The monthly cost is not high, so the cost is worth it. I really like how localmed integrates into my software which is open dental. The patient appointment will pop right into my schedule. This make the process easy for my front desk receptionist to see a new appointment. This also allows me to have control of my schedule. I can tell localmed how and where to allow my patients to book appointments. This was one big concern that I had before I used localmed. There are other platforms out there that say they do the same thing, however there are extra steps involved in updating your schedule. Localmed writes directly into Open Dental.
