"Katana increased my ability to succeed significantly."
What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?

Our inventory numbers have never been more accurate, and our shipping times have never been better. Katana integrates wonderfully with many platforms that help increase throughput decrease time to completion. Integrating with shipping platforms like Shiptheory or Shipstation was a huge benefit for us. I highly recommend that you figure out how to use the API/Webhook feature as well - once this is mastered the sky is the limit! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?

It could definitely be cheaper. I'm not a fan of the pricing structure, specifically the gap in pricing between the $899 package and the $1999 package. The fact that it puts you in the higher bracket based on the amount of sales orders (2000+/monthly) should be rethought - potentially add an in between bracket. It was very unsettling to start at $899/month when i was doing 1500 orders monthly just to have the price more than doubled to $2000/month within the first few months. "7/10 ERP System, but best we could find for our size and requirements"
What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?

It does the things it says it does - keeps us organized as far as inventory, manufacturing, purchasing, and allows us to create quotes, sales orders, and purchase orders. It is the backbone for our business and we use it every day across 5-6 different personnel. It was relatively easy to get up and running which is great. Allows us to reference records which we were either doing manually or offline beforehand (e.g. printing out paper forms). Has basic functionality for insights and analysis for planning and forecasting that is better than what we did before (nonexistent). Helpful that is also integrates natively into Shopify and Quickbooks online. Customer support is good in that they listen, but they haven't really solved or addressed many of our problems and requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?

Some parts are frustratingly difficult to use. Print templates are almost impossible to customize, and they make our business look less professional than we would like. There is also no project management functionality. We have to export all our SOs and POs to Asana (via a zapier integration that is always breaking, that we have to build/maintain ourselves), in order to have an internal dialogue about SO and PO statuses. It would be so much better if Katana built this into their solution. The basic analytics are really just basic - again we have to export all our orders to gain insight into our "on-time fulfillment rate," even though all that data is inside Katana. And although Katana allows us to use batches, it doesn't actually use that to tell us whether we can fulfill an order, so the feature is only about 50% useful. Also the interface isn't the easiest to use, you constantly have to open new tabs because it never opens a new window.

If there is a better platform, we would likely switch to it, but for our size and the cost, I am not sure there is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
