1) What do I like about iGrafx cloud solutions?
Excellent cloud concept (in my opinion, better and easier to understand than most competitors). Completeness of the solution – from modeling, monitoring, and data mining to running processes. The platform contains most of the necessary functionalities. Self-explanatory layout. The functionality of working with multiple languages. Good version management. Non-iGrafx document management. Cooperation with iGrafx desktop tools for process simulation (iGrafx Process).
2) What do I like in other iGrafx tools?
iGrafx Process – a brilliant process simulation tool. Perfect complementary tools for process mining, closing the Deming cycle. It allows you to verify the impact of the designed process change on its efficiency. It reduces losses resulting from suboptimal changes in business processes and enables you to study the impact of various parameters on business processes and production or administration. Necessary for the correct assessment of the effects of legal regulations. It has enormous configuration possibilities and can adequately map the business environment of process implementation. What needs improvement?
Completely incomprehensible sales policy. For example, the last idea that the minimum purchase in iGrafx is €20,000. This means that if someone requires one license of a brilliant process simulation tool, they have to invest €20,000, which makes this purchase very unprofitable. Until recently, the annual license cost for this product was €826, a reasonable price. Today, the user is forced to spend €20,000 on this tool, meaning he will rather look for an alternative. However, after choosing an alternative, it will be difficult for him to justify the migration to iGrafx, if he even grows up to the number of licenses to justify this purchase. In iGrafx, they ignore that users don't need tools but solutions. The prohibitive price of the tool makes people look for other solutions.
We know that all providers are moving to cloud solutions, and so is iGrafx. Unfortunately, iGrafx cloud solutions in modeling are still clearly inferior in functionality to desktop ones, even though desktop ones have not been developed for several years. This is especially evident in process simulation tools. The desktop ones are probably the best process simulation tools in the world, and if they were to be improved a bit (work with multiple processor cores, independent windows, stability in extensive simulations, report exports and better cooperation with iGrafx cloud tools), then they would become practically “must have” for most companies that care about their development. Very easy to use, best in market, has multiple tiers like flow charter entry level. It is easy to edit process maps, build them, design them, simulate them, automate them, also easy to share with leadership and executives,
