**What do you like best about Ideally?**

It’s an easy-to-use, intuitive platform that makes research more efficient. It has the functionality to help you get the answers you need for FMCG product design at a cost that feels efficient and reasonable. The team is friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. The platform continues to evolve to keep up with advances in AI.

**What do you dislike about Ideally?**

The main downsides are the relatively limited range of question types and the restrictions around routing capabilities. As a result, you’re essentially limited to using the platform for more straightforward surveys. In its current form, you also can’t build in your own specific segmentations within the platform.

**What problems is Ideally solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It enables us to understand which ideas work best and how to develop them further. It also helps us answer straightforward business questions about consumer preferences—such as which claims, pack designs, and flavours resonate most, and which combinations of claims and flavours are likely to reach the largest number of consumers using the TURF functionality.

**What do you like best about Ideally?**

Ideally makes it easier to gather insights & research at the speed that agencies actually work at. Because results are available overnight, you can quickly validate a hunch you have, test creative, or mine for an insight to help you make a strategic case. I also find the AI summaries to be useful in quickly understanding key survey themes.

**What do you dislike about Ideally?**

Ideally is an opinionated tool — it has pre-existing frameworks and some limitations that often leave me trying to find workarounds to use it more like a traditional survey tool. There are also occasional UX/UI quirks that make it a bit funny to use, but it is rapidly changing and the support I get from our reps is great. They are always open to feedback.

**What problems is Ideally solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ideally helps us get a quick read on how creative ideas are received by real people at scale. It helps us get a sense of how our target market, in particular, might respond. It's not perfect or bulletproof, but it gives us a steer that we can use to course correct or assuage client concerns when necessary.

Ideally helps remove the guesswork from product and pricing decisions. When testing price ranges, it gives us the confidence to adjust current pricing or launch a new product knowing it's been validated by real consumer feedback. It also provides valuable insight into how our target audience perceives an idea or product before we commit to launching it — reducing risk and improving our chances of success.

We particularly appreciate the high quality of respondents and the comprehensive analytics, which make it easy for us to validate concepts, test claims, and assess price sensitivities quickly. Ideally has truly become a trusted partner for rapid, evidence-based decision-making.

The main aspect that could be improved is the minimum credit requirement. For businesses that only need to conduct occasional or one-time studies, having more flexibility in purchasing or using credits would be advantageous. Introducing a more modular or pay-as-you-go option for smaller-scale research would enhance the platform’s accessibility and versatility.

Ideally is helping us reduce the risks associated with innovation, validate consumer demand at an early stage, and navigate product development cycles with greater agility. I use Ideally as a survey platform to test brand approaches with the public. I love that the tool is super easy to use, and from the beginning, Dave and Holly have been incredibly helpful in ensuring our survey was in the right format. They carefully explained and aligned the questions to meet our needs for the best insights, which was really beneficial. Their support made me more confident in choosing the direction for my brand backed by data.

**What do you like best about Ideally?**

Ideally has made it much easier to understand difficult consumer questions. In marketing, we often ask many questions and conduct extensive research into what we believe consumers want or need. This platform enables us to address these questions quickly. Being able to reach out to consumers directly and receive detailed results by the next day is truly a game changer. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, and you can easily teach yourself how to use it without any assistance. The services provided by Ideally are exceptional; they have been very helpful in answering my questions and are generally a pleasure to work with.

**What do you dislike about Ideally?**

Having the option to retarget the same group of participants would be valuable, as it could offer more in-depth insights and allow for meaningful follow-up questions.

It's helping our business solve simple consumer questions to help improve the products that we are supplying them. To under consumer preference and their behaviours help us identify new areas of opportunities where we would otherwise not known.

User friendly DIY interface coupled with access to expert help makes the whole process so much more accessible and simple for smaller projects where traditional focus grouping or polling wouldn't be possible

Ideally is a great tool to have in the strategy toolkit—especially when you need to add some extra oomph behind creative ideas or help clients feel more confident in the direction you're recommending. It’s fast, affordable, and delivers insights that feel sharp and relevant without the usual time or cost barriers. It’s great for pressure moments when you need to validate thinking quickly.

**What do you dislike about Ideally?**

Biggest challenge so far has been client unfamiliarity. Because it’s not a household name (yet), it can take a bit more effort to sell it in or justify its use—especially with more traditional clients who are used to legacy research methods. Once they see the output, they’re usually convinced it works, but aren't willing to ditch the legacy methods yet. But the product itself is great and with time think clients will really buy into.

Ideally helps us validate creative thinking or different strategic routes, really quickly. Because it's fast and affordable, it's been easy to implement and trial on a handful of clients. And having Ideally results in our presentations lately has helped to give clients confidence and show our dedication to the work/belief in the idea(s).

It would be helpful if there were options to compare taglines with other tagline norms, and to compare full creative pieces against full creative norms. I expect that as their database of norms expands, these features will likely be added.

I really value the freedom and independence it provides- you can explore, create, and manage things your own way. At the same time, there’s always a kind and supportive person from the Ideally team ready to onboard you, answer questions and help whenever you need. It’s the perfect balance between autonomy and genuine human support. An outstanding company to work with!

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. Every experience I’ve had so far has been smooth and positive. The platform works exactly as expected and the team behind it is genuinely supportive and proactive. It’s rare to find a company where you feel so well looked after while everything just works the way it should

I had a fantastic experience working with Ideally. As someone new to the process, I really appreciated how supportive and knowledgeable their team was throughout. They guided us every step of the way, patiently reviewed all my questions, and offered thoughtful recommendations that made a real difference.

Their website is incredibly user-friendly, which made the setup a breeze. Holly even took the time to give me a walkthrough beforehand, ensuring everything was set up correctly and that I felt confident moving forward.

The results were insightful and easy to interpret. We were particularly impressed with the inclusion of free demographic questions in their surveys. Overall, I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a smooth, supportive, and impactful survey experience.

The cost can increase somewhat if your research project expands, for example, by adding more test markets or increasing the number of questions.

Ideally have taken the headache out of research. The ability to both self serve and also request assistance from the team to help frame each research project is incredibly valuable.

It isn't super easy to share drafts or research proposals with stakeholders for review/approval. An approval workflow would be helpful.

Platform that empowers a user to design his or her own research. It is very easy to use. It is a game changer with results released by at least 24 hours.

**What do you dislike about Ideally?**

Managing the character limit on concept boards proved to be quite challenging. I would really appreciate having the option to view an actual preview of the survey, especially one that I could access on my mobile device.

Ideally makes it super easy to test ideas and get solid consumer feedback really fast, usually overnight. The survey builder is straightforward and flexible, which actually helps us think more creatively about how we ask questions. The team’s always improving the platform and releasing useful updates, and they’re great to deal with; quick, helpful, and solutions focused. It’s become a key part of how we get insights without slowing any business processes down.

Nothing major. A few small limitations that we trust would be developed very soon. The speed and flexibility more than make up for it and the team’s always open to feedback.

The platform is incredibly user friendly and accessible. 

Client experience is also really responsive and helpful, especially with supporting on research design queries.

**What do you dislike about Ideally?**

That we have to buy packs of credits to use, which can make it difficult to justify at a project/ad-hoc level if we don't have any remaining credits from a previous top up.

**What do you like best about Ideally?**

The 24-48 hour turnaround is the most appealing function from ideally. The team has been so accommodating with ad hoc questions and adjusting tests to be monadic when requested. It's also a very intuitive platform so it's easy to use and share results with stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Ideally?**

The tradeoff with speed is the lack of flexibility. Ad hoc questions can become quite expensive, so the best value we see from the platform is when our test requirements fit into the pre-defined Message or Idea testing formats.

**What problems is Ideally solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The need for quick results and a consumer view to support business decisions is the main benefit from using ideally.

We love the speed at which we can answer business questions (overnight!). As we move away from traditional research practices, Ideally has helped us fill the gap and remain relevant in today's fast-moving world.

Not much! There is far too much to like and the regular updates show the team are listening to customer feedback and improving the platform constantly.

**What problems is Ideally solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rapid insights on a broad range of business questions, from small to larger scale projects. Being able to really dig into the insights and segment by different user groups has enriched our learnings immensely.

We are an agency, and so far we have only used Ideally to test conceptual ideas out in the real world  - and the results were INCREDIBLY interesting, useful and valuable. If you're curious, give it a try, you won't look back.

My favourite thing about Ideally is the AI-powered dashboards that let you slice and dice your data and instantly see the emerging broad themes. It's easy and quick, especially with their next-day turnaround times.

**What do you dislike about Ideally?**

The qualitative responses from many users lack depth. Sometimes there can be a problem with low-quality, off-topic, or clearly AI-generated responses.

**What problems is Ideally solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ideally is a helpful quick turnaround research tool when we need to get some consumer feedback during the creative development process. Often we use it in the insight-hunting and strategic development phase, but we also use it for testing early draft creative ideas to get gut-responses from consumers. Mostly we are looking for any massive oversights that would lead to gross negligence since we cannot trust the consumers to reliably tell us whether a creative idea is "good" or not. That's just the nature of creative research.

**What do you like best about Ideally?**

While everyone who uses the platform will always commends the lightning fast results turnaround, the best part of my experience to date has been the team I've dealt with. They provided an efficient, yet detailed onboarding with the platform left me confident to use it and also explain the process to my Client. The results weren't just flicked over in an email either, but was also discussed in a call to go through specifics which was appreciated.

Ideally serves a great purpose and when used as intended, is the perfect tool to aid in the creative development and/or production process. No smoke and mirrors good straight up testing. Look forward to integrating Ideally into my work in the future.

**What do you like best about Ideally?**

My first experience using Ideally was fantastic. We used it to concept test a new product in our pipeline, gaining valuable insights into consumer perceptions and validating some of our key hypotheses.

The platform is exceptionally well-designed, intuitive, and user-friendly. The team was incredibly supportive, guiding us through the process of loading our first concept, and the results were impressively available the very next morning.

Overall, it was a seamless and highly positive experience—I wouldn’t hesitate to use Ideally again!

Simplicity is the proposition, so we don't expect screeds of detail, but this compromise is worth it particularly as our media has switched to more digital methods - so we can test more for less.

Ideally allows you to test early and efficiently, at speed, so as not to slow momentum. The credits system and ease of setup allows for an interative approach to really fine tune ideas over a short time frame

I have foudn the credit system a little hard to get my head around. And it would be great if the sample size excluded those who you didnt want, to get even more robust data.
