"Effective RFP automation tool - produces real, valuable answers. Saves me hours, days on large RFPs."
What do you like best about Iris?

The AI Iris uses produces authentic answers, nothing that feels overly saturated by AI wordsmithing. It truly reads from previous content and answers questions correctly and with added value, allowing my team and I to remove the need to brainstorm around every question on an RFP, and just review the output, changing a just a few answers. The tool is simple, easy to use, and was implemented quickly, allowing us to get to work as soon as we got our hands on the software.

The company is small/agile enough to develop product at a rapid rate - it seems like new features are released every time you jump into the platform.

The team is incredible, from rallying around any concerns, to implementing solutions instantly, and jumping on late night calls to answer questions about RFPs when getting started, they're dedicated to their customer's success. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iris?

I've only had two things I've disliked about Iris to date, and both have been addressed in product releases within a month of our go-live. One was the ability to take bulk actions on the questions to mass update reviewers or certain items, and the other was to export in the original format. The team heard these concerns and implemented them before we even input our 2nd project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool that's still developing its full potential"
What do you like best about Iris?

We primarily use Iris as a query tool for our salespeople, sort of an in-house ChatGPT.

Iris is extremely easy to set up and use for just about anyone. It integrated seamlessly with our SSO, training took about an hour, and the interface is easy to get around. It is very friendly for people who are not tech-savvy, and the support team is very hands-on and willing to help. They joined our in-house Slack as guests to make them easy to contact.

Its ability to query is also very effective. You can tailor the experience for various users by tagging the resources Iris pulls from. The confidence scores it produces are generally accurate and it responds well to correction.

Iris is also very good at filling in RFP questionnaires that come in Excel format. Importing them is easy and this format is particularly suited to AI writing. This has saved us a lot of time for tech questionnaires and similar responses that don't require much finesse, only bruteforce labor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Iris?

As a platform, Iris is great at doing what it says on the tin. The only issue I really have with it is that it is sometimes a bit slow. Most of its issues are due to AI itself, not the platform.

Iris has the same big limitation as any AI writing tool: the writing is often just okay. It cannot make a nuanced point for you, it cannot position your product, and it cannot know your customer as well as you do. It only pulls from YOUR content, which is great because it prevents hallucination, but it also somewhat limits its capabilities and requires a lot of data to work effectively. The content library is very simple - again a double-edged sword because it is easy to use, but also requires a lot of manual updating as your RFP answers change.

Prompting for RFP writing can also be very frustrating - again, this is due to the limitations of AI as a medium rather than Iris itself. It requires specificity about tone and tense and does not respond well to guidelines for length. Iris also cannot handle graphics at this stage, at least to my knowledge.
