Dropbox Sign (formerly HelloSign) Reviews & Product Details

It's easy to use and priced well. My entire office uses HelloSign for esignature needs. It's easy to generate the signature request and easy enough for clients to sign it from their end. I even tried it out myself so I could write out instructions for those clients who need instructions. And I can state confidently most clients will NOT need instructions whatsoever. And those that do .... well they may need to receive a hard copy to sign Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think there could be less necessary pages to set up a signature request--because each new page has to load and there's a delay to load new pages. ALSO previously (prior to the site update) the initial page is where you loaded the client's name and email address--now you load that information after clicking a few times. I preferred when we loaded the client information on the first page Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

HelloSign is pretty much perfect for my needs. As a photographer, I've been using it for several years to sign and countersign contracts with my clients. My workflow is pretty simple: I generate a PDF with form fields, upload it to HelloSign, assign fields to signers, and send. Once contracts are signed, HelloSign emails everyone the completed copy. There are two things that I feel are missing and would like HelloSign to add:

1. Groups for ordered signing. HS allows specifying a signer order (e.g. signer 1 needs to sign before signer 2 gets an email asking them to sign, ) but does not allow groups (e.g. signer 1 and 2 can sign in any order, which then triggers signer 3 to get an email to sign.

2. Labelled fields from PDFs. HelloSign currently detects PDF form fields and includes them in the document, but there doesn't seem to be a way to label those fields (e.g. "Name" etc), so every time I import my contract PDF for signing, I have to manually type the name of the field in the HelloSign interface. It's actually where I spend most of my time on HelloSign so this would be a big time saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The program is user-friendly and straight to the point. I love that I can find all my documents in one place when needed and it has never given me any issues. The Google doc integration is something I have yet to use but feel it will come in handy. I also love the fax machine option. I do not have to fax often however on that rare occasion I need to, HelloFax always helps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There really isn't anything I dislike about the program. I like things simple and this fits perfectly. Currently, our company is small but as we grow we may need more integration options but for now, it works for us! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

HelloSign is really simple to use - nearly dummy proof - for the minimum requirements for the product. We evaluated 4 different products based on ease of use, cost, and end user experience and chose HelloSign.

The 2 things that stood out for us were the audit trail and notifications (we could always see what was happening) and the templating system. We can typically adjust and send a custom doc in 3-5 minutes, exactly what we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The editor. I love that i can drag and drop fields. I hate that they don't align (there's no grid or 'snap to' capability), I can't custom size the free text fields (so I have to make a full line break for a field with a lot of text like an address), I can't overlap them easily so I can't have a lot of short fields (like numbers) next to each other.

Despite this, its still the easiest to use out of all the products we evaluated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part about Hello Sign is how easy it is to navigate. Often times it's easy on the business end, but difficult to explain to the client or signers. HelloSign is mutually beneficial for both parties! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only dislike is not being able to edit a document once it's sent, but that makes HelloSign even more legit because it is a legal document being signed. It makes me feel comfortable knowing I don't have to worry about my document being tampered with! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I work remotely and I have found Hello Sign to be a fantastic resource for getting documents quickly, efficiently signed. Everyone gets an executed copy automatically, which used to be a major hassle for me. I considered Docusign but I loved the unlimited documents feature of the HelloSign plan that I chose -- worth every penny! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing to dislike yet! I think I have a ways to go still in figuring out some of the features like templates, etc. But for now I'm just so happy to be getting the basics covered with signing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that it's very user-friendly and simple to use. You just upload the document and drag and drop the signature fields, just like with a form builder. I really like that you can use it to send your own signed documents as well as requesting signatures from others. That came in really handy at tax time when multiple people were requesting W-9 forms. You sign it once from Hello Sign, and then you can share it digitally with multiple people. That made life easier for the end of January W-9 scramble. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the fact that I'm able to send a text link to the document. Then they fill it out and it goes directly to my email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't like it when my clients mis-type things. Then it backs up the process. Just sometimes with the form they fill out is a 16 digit credit card number and sometimes they somehow missed typed it and there's errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

HelloSign makes it easy to get signatures on documents. Templates are easy to set up, and there are no limits to the number of documents you can send or have signed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

API access costs extra. API access seems like an easy feature to give access to as a value add. Most companies won't use it, but nickel and diming your long-time, growing customers doesn't make a lot of sense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I started using Hello Sign because of its integration with Hubspot. Unfortunately, it's not integrated at the level of the company or deal yet -- just the contact. But, it's still very useful. It makes getting contracts signed much faster and easier and I also use it for waivers and sending my own W-9s. The ability to keep a template in the tool is a huge timesaver. Once you get the hang of it, it's very quick and easy to use. I especially like that all my signed documents are in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only thing missing from this product -- and it's not really this product -- is the ability to send a contract via Hubspot and have it associated with a company or a deal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
