Recommendations to others considering HAProxy:
There are other options on the market, but I would prefer stability, and and excellent support rather that try outs.
HAProxy has proven over the times it's ready to handle any kind of workload and you can load between TCP or HTTP, in any port or service.
Their added modules are a plus, like bot protection, WAF and HA builtin features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is HAProxy solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using some caching servers as Varnish, whom do not provide SSL termination, HaProxy was a natural option and the entry way for that.
As long as the application increased complexity and we would need to have HA from different services replicas, it has become more used. Furthermore, balancing between datasets was also a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
