**What do you like best about Gymdesk?**

GymDesk has everything I could ever need to manage my wrestling club.  However, the thing that sets GymDesk above the competition is their customer service.  They are only just an email away and reply back within hours.

**What do you dislike about Gymdesk?**

I wish I had more control over website options (outside of using CSS).  Something as simple as choosing different color schemes or being able to modify the grouping of menu items.

**What problems is Gymdesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GymDesk allows me to control every aspect of my wrestling club and member management.  It is constantly evolving to help manage both of those items (i.e. the addition of Rosters).  The evolution of the product coupled with the owner being in the combat gym functional area make GymDesk the no nonsense solution we needed.

**What do you like best about Gymdesk?**

How easy I can find functions to operate my martial art school. Also, it has the features you need to evaluate, communicate, promote and be in touch with your clients.

**What do you dislike about Gymdesk?**

Some features are still in the works, like the belt test event that you can not modify once you start it. You need to delete it and create a new one. You can not add or delete members for the event.

**What problems is Gymdesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

An easy solution to manage my client's info, check-in to the classes, communication and marketing, sending text messages in one click and follow-up leads. It takes me less time now to manage my clients and communicate with them.

**What do you like best about Gymdesk?**

There are so many built-in features that a designed directly for martial arts studios, from belt ranks to attendance tracking. Their customer support is also extremely prompt and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Gymdesk?**

I'd like to see continued development in the email messaging capabilities. Currently, you can send basic and automated messages to your members. I'd like to see improved graphic design options for these emails. Similar to what you might see in mailchimp.

**What problems is Gymdesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I appreciate the recent update the schedule options. You can now make unlimited schedule options for various class/lesson configurations. This is useful for gyms that need to adjust their schedule regularly.

The management software fits the judo and Jiu jitsu format well!!

**What do you dislike about Gymdesk?**

It can be difficult to learn how to use it. Better tutorials or easier interface would be nice.

It is set up to monitor and help students of judo and BJJ very well. I had issues trying to use other class management software with martial arts. This helps me keep track of my students and their progress better.

Jim desk is future rich and continues to adapt to the needs of our martial arts school. It's features allow us to communicate, manage and bill all in one package.

**What do you dislike about Gymdesk?**

There are some very minor inconveniences that do not affect the overall experience. They do have the ability to suggest changes and add features, which they consider seriously.

They have top-tier customer support, which is been vital to us. Thesystem allows for student management,billing and revenue statistics all in a simple to use and cost affordable platform.

**What do you like best about Gymdesk?**

Gymdesk was literally the first thing we got before starting our gym, the very act of purchasing and setting it up made everything we needed to do to get started so much clearer. It's very versatile and you can use as many or as few features as you need. We integrate with stripe and have never had an issue with payments in 2 years. Well done GymDesk

not as many integrations as i would like. The template website needs updating. text message and email functionality could be better, especially for international customers i.e australia

Payments, Scheduling, Website. Basically everything you need to start a gym (IT wise at least). The most beneficial thing for us has been integration with stripe

I like how the system is organized/displayed. I also appreciate the price point compared to other similar apps out there. I like that they are always adding new functionality and receptive to questions & feedback.

Sometimes there are bugs but they are always addressed when brought to their attention.

I love being able to set up different programs and set promotion requirements.

I would like to be able to set up discount codes for my members to use on the store.

The reason I switched was for the ease of use.   It is very easy to find my members and the information about them.

GymDesk is great. Most of the features I have requested have been added. Maybe some more reporting options would be helpful.

Such a simple, clear user interface (staff AND students) with incredibly robust tools that are consistently updated and added upon.

Nothing actually! Every few weeks, they add on new features and make existing ones more streamlined.

Managing students, payments, recruiting, communication, planning and keeping me and my staff sane!

**What do you like best about Gymdesk?**

I love how it's my one-stop shop for billing, attendance tracking, belt/stripe tracking, retail sales, website schedule, prospect communication, email and text blasts to current members - you name it.

**What do you dislike about Gymdesk?**

Honestly, not much!  The few times I'm stumped on where to find something or how to accomplish something, I email the company and always get a personalized, specific response back with helpful information.

**What problems is Gymdesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems at all.  Benefits are a very easy to use interface to run our academy and a front-desk interface that we run on an iPad at our front counter.  With one of their newest updates, now I love how all my communication with prospects (as well as current members)  is tracked on their page.  I don't have to go searching through my email now to recall conversations or when our last point of contact was.  I also love pulling up a student's rank or date of their last promotion. It's also easy to charge a retail purchase to a member's card on file.

**What do you like best about Gymdesk?**

Ease of use and the responsiveness of developers with feedback and suggestions.  As we have continued to use the software, we have found some areas which could be better customized for our experience.  The software developers are always listening to suggestions and offering solutions to help us meet our needs.

**What do you dislike about Gymdesk?**

The help documentation being on a separate page.  If it could open up in a pop-up within the program it would be faster and easier.  Otherwise we love the program.  It is easy to use.  intuitive and user friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering Gymdesk:**

Do the trial and communicate with the Maonrails team so that they can show you all of the benefits and get a taste of the support behind the scenes which is incredible!

**What problems is Gymdesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped us follow our metrics more closely with easy and intuitive graphs/charts which show exactly where we stand with conversions of prospects to students.  Additionally, it has helped us streamline our online database with our students.  They love the ease of use and benefits it has provided them as we have had to move many of our operations online.

**What do you like best about Gymdesk?**

Martial Arts on Rails is perfect for a new martial arts academy. It not only provides a wide array of features to assist in administration, it helps promote industry best-practices and actively improves client service. Eran has been proactively supportive, inquiring several times to ensure that we are getting what we need from the platform and soliciting feedback. As a software developer myself, I'm tremendously impressed with the way that Eran runs Martial Arts on Rails.

**What do you dislike about Gymdesk?**

There is nothing about this platform to dislike. It has every feature we need, and more. It is fast and easy for both administrators and clients.

**What problems is Gymdesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The student sign-up process and automated billing were the primary requirements that we had at first. Once we started using Martial Arts on Rails, we started using far more features. The web site builder is amazingly simply and powerful, with all the features you need for a martial arts academy website.  The student check-in process is fantastic, and provides us with contact tracing as well as attendance records. We are still discovering more ways to use the features of the platform every week.

Martial Arts on Rails (MOAR) is simple to use and it works!  I also think the pricing is reasonable, unlike many other software management systems that are available.  The company is very responsive to any questions / issues you may have.

There isn't anything I dislike about this product!

I've used other software management solutions over the years.  Martial Arts on Rails hands down has been the best.  It is easy to use, simple to train our staff, and our members love it.  It has really help grow my business and simplified the process of signing up new members and communicating with our current members.  The owner of the company has always replied quickly whenever we have had any questions with the product.  I highly recommend MOAR to all gym owners.

Just try it , cheaper , better , easy to use ... I won't coming back to anything else

All the payments are made by cards and I don't need to ask my members to pay, every thing is so smooth , 

Memberships are so complete , you can littéraly edit everything

The schedule is interactive and synching with the booking system

The bookings are made directly by members in their member area 

I created an online Academy for my members in the system , really ease my teaching

**What do you like best about Gymdesk?**

Fully featured and highly responsive development team. Has everything you need and more. There was an amazing amount of work and improvements over the past 1 year plus I have been using MAonRails, including booking capabilities to handle the Covid situation. The constant upgrades and professional management of the software are superb. Managing my gym without MAonRails would have been impossible.

**What do you dislike about Gymdesk?**

Being fully featured also means it comes with complexity since every feature will have it's own configuration options. Taking the time to read, understand, and set it up can be a challenge for those who are not Ops and IT inclined. Get help to migrate from your existing system if you have to. It will be worth it, but don't think it's a walk in the park. Planning and learning will be necessary.

**Recommendations to others considering Gymdesk:**

If you want better visibility on your business and your school is fairly large with multiple instructors and student body is above 100, you definitely need this. I've got a friend who is also running a martial arts school, but will not use this because he is fearful of the effects of too much transparency. To a large extent, it depends on how you want to run your business.

**What problems is Gymdesk solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduced customer management with self-help capabilities provided by the MAonRails significantly eases daily mundane tasks like triggering payments and attendance taking. Other benefits include higher customer satisfaction, increased transparency on membership status (which again reduces time to serve), better revenue forecasts, ability to get historical records at a glance etc.

The software provides everything to run a dojo and some. I especially like to responsiveness of the customer service team, their ability to customize service and support their client.
