The tool helps me easily resolve most project management challenges and simplifies my daily routine. Though I apply every feature from time to time, I’d like to share the most frequently used ones: The competence management feature helps me add and manage competencies and skills and improves (and significantly simplifies!) resource allocation. Timesheet and task list let me access the current workload of resources and be aware of what the teams are busy with. Dashboard gives an insight into the state of my projects so I always know about the lack of time or resources and can improve this timely, moreover, the Future load graph can predict these problems and I can avoid them by changing the strategy. Pipeline and task list are our everyday instruments for fast project and task checking. If I see any issues, I dive into project details with the help of other features like Historical load graph, Dashboard, and What-if analysis to resolve them. And I can’t help but mention automatic report generation, which saves so much time for me. **What do you dislike about Epicflow?** If you don’t have accurate and correct data or don’t input necessary data on time, you don’t get accurate results and prompts. But this is not the disadvantage of Epicflow, this is the peculiarity of any data-driven software, especially with AI functionality. **What problems is Epicflow solving and how is that benefiting you?** It resolves the problem of resource overload, and that’s why I love Epicflow, cause overload significantly deteriorates the performance and project results. The lack of resources is no longer a problem for us because the tool knows how to make the best use of limited resources by changing the start dates of projects and allocating them in such a way that we can deliver all our projects on time. ### 2. But as soon as you understand the framework, everything becomes clear. They provide training, workshops, and technical support that help everyone in the team understand the solution, become confident users, and resolve issues if any arise. **What problems is Epicflow solving and how is that benefiting you?** Epicflow also helps improve estimations, mitigate risks, and avoid project cost overrun and delays. Capacity/load.output charts are also great for tracking the team efficiency on a daily basis. Simulation mode is an interesting solution too, it lets you make any changes to your projects to see the results without disturbing your environment, **What do you dislike about Epicflow?** It's unclear what some of the graphs show exactly, like bubble chart, I think it's supposed to be an alternative to fever chart but the way projects behave there raises some questions. **Recommendations to others considering Epicflow:** IIRC integrations with other software is available on demand, so if you're using PM tools which are not too popular you can probably still use it. **What problems is Epicflow solving and how is that benefiting you?** A lot of problems related to project portfolio management, resource scheduling and project management in general. ### 4. It’s a good add value tool to use when you have several projects with task dependencies in parallel. It simplifies work routine a lot. I can track my team’s progress and spot resource constraints to avoid possible project delays. The tool automatically defines optimal priorities and my employees understand what task to do next. The next thing I like, is improved visibility I get with Epicflow. I can see the progress of my multiple projects in the pipeline. If I have a client who has an additional Jira instance, I can easily connect it to the existing Epicflow environment If a new project comes in, the future load graph lets me predict whether I can optimize developers to start working on one more project. No need to refill and organize data from scratch. The software has flexible mapping of the fields in Jira in the fields of Epicflow. **What do you dislike about Epicflow?** To get the real value, Epicflow requires my project information to start working, like tasks and their dependency network, a rough estimate of each task, a resource group assigned to complete the milestone, and project and milestone deadlines. The input data must be compatible with the Epicflow system. **Recommendations to others considering Epicflow:** The tool can be really useful if you run many projects with shared resources. It copes with every problem indicated on their main page and answers who’s doing what in comparison with the plan.
