What do you dislike about easySales?
Okei, this is a long topic but I will keep it simple, structured and with a general example.
1. The plans - are incredible stupid (sorry, I can't find another word), why?
a. The "steps" between the plans are huge (ex. 300 orders and next step is 1500 orders) - so if you have 301 orders you are forced to upgrade to next plan, which, of course is more than 3 times the cost than the first one and the even bigger problems comes from... see point "b"
b. If your billing date is let's say 21th and you cross the 300 step in 20th with only 1 order, you have to pay the difference between the first plan and second one at full price for just 1 order and 1 day and the in the second day, you have to pay the plan again!
So instead of offering a plan which can be, any of the following:
a. Pay what you use (like competition)
b. Make the steps more closer to each other (not like now, from 300 to 1500)
c. Make the smaller step bigger (let's say from 300 to 600-700)
d. When you upgrade, the billing period could be updated so, if I upgrade today, the plan should start from today and go for a full billing cycle, not just from the difference between the initial plan and upgraded one.
They choose the worsen solution that could be and, sorry to say, the greedy solution.
Example, if case somebody don't understand (in my case):
This month I will pass the 300 plan with aprox. 15%, 3 days before my billing date which results in:
a. have to pay 75 euros without VAT for 3 days + 99 euros without VAT for next month after I payed for the current month 29 without VAT, resulting in 203 euro on 3 different bills for for aprox. 800 orders (estimated)
2. The integrations / features:
a. They are quite limited and development of new integration are incredible slow.
b. If you ask for an integration, not something small, something which is widely used, their first response is "there are no requests on this" - of course there are not, because you can ask for something only if you are already a client
c. it didn't even had client export feature (which is a basic for something like this) until half a year ago or so.
d. You can't integrate more than 1 website - which is something logic, something at the core of a solution like this.
There are many features that are missing comparing to their competitors but, I will not get any deeper because some are specific to some users, others to others.
3. The support:
Is great and quite responsive during working hours, but if you need them after 4-5pm or in the weekend, they are absent. They don't have support after working hours or in the weekend.
4. Addons:
a. On the smaller plan you don't have any translation included (this was changed not long ago, they "changed" during "the game"). On competition, you can use you own API but here, you have to buy credits, credits which are quite expensive. On the bigger plan, you have something but they are limited on what you can choose (this was changed not long ago, they "changed" during "the game")
b. Auto-price is also limited and if you need more, of course you have to buy credits - comparing to competition which offers many more.
Conclusion:
a. You have to pay the difference between plans (3 x price) even if you want it for 1 order or 1 day!
b. It a good solution if you stay under 300 orders or have let's say over 600-700 to be worthy the price.
c. Limitation forcing you to supplementary costs
So, the pricing model is the worse model possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
