I appreciate DualEntry's clean double-entry focused interface, which keeps transaction logging straightforward without excessive unnecessary features. It's particularly beneficial because our junior accounting staff can log entries and work on general-ledger tasks with minimal training, which eases our workload across different sectors. Additionally, the streamlined interface lowers the learning curve, allowing staff to focus purely on logging and reconciling client-transaction records, reducing human-entry errors and speeding up month-end close work. DualEntry has no native CRA-compliant tax templates for Canadian corporate filings, forcing us to export ledgers and manually adjust figures for T2 tax returns. It does not support guaranteed Canada-based data residency, creating PIPEDA compliance risks when storing sensitive client financial records. Native integrations with popular Canadian tax-prep tools are missing, and their support team has limited practical understanding of Canadian tax-code requirements. Since it lacks Entra-ID single sign-on, we manage team access separately. We still manually cross-check outputs to meet CRA reporting and PIPEDA requirements. Compliance-related configuration was a challenge with no built-in Canadian-tax-specific settings, necessitating custom internal workflows for CRA reporting and PIPEDA client-data safeguards. What I like most about DualEntry is how much smoother it makes my workflow. What I like is the built-in checks. Every entry has a match, so it’s harder to miss something or let an error slip through. DualEntry just made sense right out of the gate. It connected with the systems we already use, and the setup didn’t slow anyone down. Having frequently used Dual entry for every day finance and accounting tasks, I would recommend it for every organization irrespective of the industry.The software is 100% user-friendly and requires no training for the user,even someone without a deep accounting background can understand the tool easily. Implementation is straightforward with no complicated setup.

Being cloud based,one can access from anywhere,which is convenient for remote work and collaboration. It also covers essential accounting features with an organized design and layout making it easy to access core functions. let's not forget the real time update it provides, the dashboard overview is awesome and impressive.

In the course of using DualEntry accounting software, I have come to observe some key features that seem to be missing such as lack of reference details in JE for easy tracking,No icon to easily switch between different screens, no quick option to create new customer from the dropdown when creating invoice,tax code flexibility missing,check management needs improvements,reconciliation matching,allocation feature gaps,no quick option to dispose a fixed asset from the asset overview screen. What I like is that it really does have everything in one place. Feels fast and straightforward to use. I don’t have to go hunting through other tools to find what I need. Support’s been quick when I’ve reached out, which is a plus. We added multiple users without a problem, and migration of our old files was smoother than I expected. What I really like about DualEntry is the reporting. It’s AI-based, which you don’t usually see with ERP tools. I just type what I need, filters, multiple data points, whatever, and it spits out exactly the right report.

The Copilot’s solid too. You can throw questions at it and it replies like someone who actually knows accounting. Super useful if you’re new, but even if you’re not, it still helps you get more out of the platform.

DualEntry’s solid overall, but the filters could use some work. It’d be great if it remembered what you picked when you switch tabs. Right now, if I filter invoices by company, then jump to another tab, the filter clears and everything comes back it slows things down, especially if you're working through a big list.
