DeepHow is the first AI solution for skilled trades know-how capturing and training. It is essentially a video platform and capture app that allows organizations to capture their processes on a smart device, upload it into the platform via the cloud, and then leverage AI to segment, transcribe, and translate the video into steps and relevant languages for their multilingual workforce. Workers can access the videos at any time, allowing them to onboard faster and upskill more efficiently with their company’s proprietary processes.   ### 1. DeepHow is great for making SOPs easy.

**What do you like best about DeepHow?**

I really appreciate how simple it is to add captions and use the AI voiceover feature. These tools make it much easier for viewers to follow along whenever necessary. Integrating videos into our existing file sharing systems is also straightforward. Creating SOPs as a proof of concept for our department was a smooth process, and now we are considering a full implementation of DeepHow in our training workflows. I have used the platform several times across my free trial.

**What do you dislike about DeepHow?**

The studio can be a bit tricky to use at first. It is not as refined as I would like. The distribution of completed SOPs can also be quite difficult at times. The generated written SOPs aren't always as detailed as I would like, and are often more surface level.

**What problems is DeepHow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DeepHow made it much easier to provide SOPs to the department. While some time does need to be spent editing the videos and adjusting the captions, it is significantly easier and more user-friendly to trainees than reading a fully text-based SOP which may not capture nuances of the described process. It encouraged me to make SOPs that I have otherwise put off due to the highly detailed nature of the given task; a video is much more useful and descriptive. I also like the certification and quiz features of the platform; as this helps to ensure videos are watched and training can be monitored. If I were to move forward with a full implementation, I would still want to work 1:1 with trainees, but only as a final check. DeepHow does a great job of communicating the bulk of the information.

**What do you like best about DeepHow?**

What makes DeepHow special is its simplicity. DeepHow makes it so you can record, upload, edit, and publish a training video quickly and easily without much technical knowledge and without all of the bells and whistles of typical video editing softwares. This simplicity translates, for us, to quick creation of much needed training content which would otherwise not exist due to the friction of creating a training video using other conventional methods.

**What do you dislike about DeepHow?**

One area for improvement is the "Step" format of the videos. If, for example, I wanted to include a PowerPoint slide at a few different points in the video to stop and explain something, it'd have to be done in a different step. This would turn an easy 1-2-3 step video into 1-2-3-4-5-6 steps when really there were 3 steps but needed some additional time to explain some subtleties, each requiring their own step.

**What problems is DeepHow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our factory, there is a lot of tribal knowledge that is being lost as we lose our 10, 20, 30+ year veterans of the craft. DeepHow is enabling us to capture that tribal knowledge quickly and easily so it can be leveraged and iterated on for our future workforce.

**What do you like best about DeepHow?**

DeepHow is easy to use. I like how the company provides you with tools by way of demonstration videos you can watch on how to edit, add anotations and basically any topic to become efficient with using the product.

**What do you dislike about DeepHow?**

Not that many special effect available to use. i.e. changing background or adding special characters.

**What problems is DeepHow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DeepHow is helping our Roofing Plant close training gaps, enhancing employee confidence by giving them a chance to put their skills on display, and reducing injury by giving the employee a visual on the correct way to perform a task.

Hard to give the the best feature.  All of Deephow's features and capabilites are amazing.  The ability to translate videos into other lanagues is their best features.

**What do you dislike about DeepHow?**

Nothing!!  Deephow has created an intuitive product.  Deephow's customer service is second to none.  They actively ask on ways to improve their product.

**What problems is DeepHow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Deephow has allowed our diverse workforce to access and engage in training  in native lanuages.  Allowed us to document our master technicians skills and information, and allowed our new technicians to learn in a repeatable high quality environment.  Using Deephow helps to connect the information in our standard operating proceedures into a more user friendly format for all of our technicians to use, regardless of native languages.

**What do you like best about DeepHow?**

There are so many things I could list about Deephow.  The application is easy to use and can be impactful in so many areas.  We use it to capture best practices and share them with other techs and locations.  We use it to communicate safety and people department information.  It has reduced the length of time it takes to train a newer employee and reduced the amount of time spent on refresher training.  We have seen an increase in employee self-confidence and confidence in team members.  At this point, we have not found a limit to what we can do with Deephow.  The best part of Deephow though has been the people behind it.  They are supportive and always looking to improve. There is always someone available to help.  They listen to their customers and grow based on our needs.  The application and the people are unmatched and we are grateful for what they do.

**What do you dislike about DeepHow?**

My issues are very minor and I struggle to see them as issues.  Every issue I have is currently being worked on and I already know that a solution is coming and they are good at keeping us up to date.  I would like to see a 2nd audio track and I want them to continue to improve the editing process.  It's hard to call these issues because they are getting it done.

**What problems is DeepHow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deephow is improving our training and communications.  The ability to have a trainee watch videos and educate themselves prior to an instructor-led training session has been very impactful.  In the past, we would have trainees start from different levels of knowledge.  Now we can go into training with everyone at the same baseline.  This has reduced the time needed to get training completed.  It also helps keep the more advanced trainees engaged because they are not waiting for others to catch up.  
When a best practice is identified it can be standardized across all production teams in a fraction of the time.  No longer are people reading a document and making assumptions.  I no longer have to pull someone from their job to spend a month teaching others and impacting production.  

Deephow has allowed us to move in the direction of being an autonomous workforce.  Techs with the ability to search and answer their own questions at 2 am.

Capturing Knowledge so it can move from being tribal knowledge of an individual operator to institutional knowledge in a digital library accessible to all frontline operators has been a huge win. Videos are 'Best Practices'. Everyone is trained on the accepted best method to address an issue. Having a trainee demonstrate proficiency on a task by being in the video is an added bonus.

**What do you dislike about DeepHow?**

The only complaint I have about DeepHow is we needed this 10 years ago prior to our major hit of retirements!

**What problems is DeepHow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DeepHow maximizes our training. It reduces the need to continually have refresher training. The operator can refresh on a task as often as necessary by reviewing the best practice videos.
DeepHow improves communication and accelerates upskilling by not having to relearn previous lessons learned.

DeepHow utilizes video to train and educate employees. This is much more effective than traditional written procedures. The software, video creation, and editing are user friendly and easily lets local leadership create training material. Our Customer Success Manager gave us hands on training and ensured we had any support needed.

**What do you dislike about DeepHow?**

DeepHow still has some opportunities to make organization of content better, but their team is very receptive to customer suggestions. It would also be beneficial to have a way to test comphresion at the end of a video

The need for a quicker and more effective way to train employees. This is a benefit to safety and efficiency of the operation.

The #1 thing that DeepHow provides for me is ease of use.  I can take a 10 minute video and have it edited and published in less than 30 minutes!

**What do you dislike about DeepHow?**

There are very few things I dislike, but the service team and customer team jump on any issues we have and in most cases find a solution

**What problems is DeepHow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our workforce is aging and we have an immediate need to capture tribal knowledge and experience for the next generation.  Also, provides a platform where all knowledge can be kept in one location.

**What do you like best about DeepHow?**

DeepHow prepares workers for new learning by being able to watch skills prior to hands on experiences. It cuts learning time greatly. It also serves as an on-demand refresher or reference tool when the trainer is not available. DeepHow is a great tool to standardize processes. Videos are created, people come together to review them and standard processes are established.  DeepHow can be used to reduce redundant presentations/meetings by simply recording them and sending them to the people who need the information. 
Out compnay has saved enormous amounts of money by showing pre-hire videos allowing candidates to decide on the spot if the job is not for them.

**What do you dislike about DeepHow?**

Maintaining the data base of people is cumbersome. I have to manually add and remove employees as they hire in and leave.  I also dislike the categories- I would like to name my own categories based on my plant.  I would like to create my own channels based on our value streams- the organization is too global. I need to be able to organize my videos in a way that makes them easy to find.

**What problems is DeepHow solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are capturing and preserving tribal knowledge assome of our most experienced machinists are retiring. We are giving people the ability to upskill and cross-train via video learning. This makes our workforce more agile and engaged because they know with a few clicks they can learn other jobs in their departments.

I like being able to scroll to specific steps within the DeepHow videos, so you are not stuck watching the whole thing when you only need one certain section.

I do not have much of any downsides to DeepHow.
