"Unifies Customer Data with Zero Copy—and Activates Seamlessly Across Salesforce"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

As a Solutions Architect at a large insurance company, what I value most is how Data 360 lets us unify customer data without building yet another copy of it. In our architecture we use Zero Copy to reach data that already lives in our data platform. We model and harmonize it and run identity resolution in Data 360 without heavy ETL pipelines or duplicate storage. That cuts integration effort, keeps governance in one place and shortens the time from source to insight.

The other big win is activation. The unified profile and calculated insights power Service Cloud, where agents see a real 360° view of the policyholder right in the console, and they feed Agentforce use cases. The same segments are activated to Marketing Cloud, so campaigns and journeys use the same trusted data as service. One data foundation now serves both service and marketing, which used to be two disconnected worlds for us. The integration with the Salesforce platform (metadata, permissions, Flow, data actions) is also a clear advantage over standalone CDPs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

The consumption-based credit model is hard to predict. Estimating costs for Zero Copy queries, segmentation and activation takes real effort, and it's hard to explain to business stakeholders. The learning curve is steep: data modeling, DMO mapping and identity resolution rules need solid architecture skills, and admins can't simply pick them up. Troubleshooting is still challenging, since visibility into data stream refreshes, activation errors and latency is limited. Frequent renames and fast releases also mean the documentation sometimes lags behind the product. Even so, the platform keeps improving quickly and the direction is right. "Bringing data together for a more connected customer view"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

What I like most about Data 360 is its ability to bring data from different sources together and create a more complete view of customer information. Instead of having important data spread across multiple systems, it provides a way to connect and organize that information so it can be used more effectively. I also like how closely it works with the Salesforce ecosystem, making the data available to support analytics, automation, and more personalized customer experiences. The flexibility to work with different types of data is another strong point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

The main challenge with Data 360 is that it can take some time to understand and configure, particularly when working with data from multiple sources. Data mapping, integration, and maintaining good data quality require careful planning, and the initial setup can feel complex for new users. It would be helpful to have a simpler onboarding experience and more straightforward guidance for common integration scenarios. Once the data is properly connected and organized, however, the platform becomes much more valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Near Real-Time, Zero-Copy Data Unification That Powers Contextual CRM"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

The ability to ingest, harmonize, and unify massive volumes of structured and unstructured data from disparate systems in near real time, without traditional ETL overhead, is its greatest strength. Its native zero-copy architecture allows direct federation with enterprise lakes like Snowflake, BigQuery, and Databricks, eliminating costly data movement. Because it maps seamlessly into the Salesforce metadata layer, it instantly unlocks unified profile graphs to ground autonomous agents, enrich Flows, and power contextual CRM experiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

The platform has a steep learning curve and high setup complexity; mapping disparate sources into the Customer 360 Data Model (DMOs/DSOs) and fine-tuning identity resolution rules requires specialized architectural expertise. Consumption-based credit pricing (covering data ingestion, processing, and calculated insights) can be difficult to forecast, leading to unpredictable monthly burn rates. In addition, debugging data lineage issues, calculated insight lag, and pipeline errors lacks the transparency and real-time observability of dedicated data engineering stacks. Finally, frequent rebranding and feature re-architecting—from CDP to Genie, Data Cloud, and now Data 360—continue to create confusion in documentation and lifecycle governance. "Great Single Source of Truth for Salesforce Shops, but Not for Casual Deployments"
4/5
What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

I’d definitely recommend it, but mainly for teams that are already deeply invested in the Salesforce ecosystem and want to power Agentforce or enable cross-cloud workflows. The zero-copy federation with data warehouses and the native identity resolution are big wins, since they reduce the need to build messy custom ETL pipelines just to get a unified view of customer data across Sales and Service Cloud. That said, the learning curve around data model objects (DMOs) is steep, and credit-based consumption costs can become unpredictable if data governance isn’t clearly defined and locked down upfront. If you’re not operating as a primarily Salesforce shop, a warehouse-first or composable CDP may be a better fit, but for native Salesforce environments it’s increasingly hard to beat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

The learning curve around data modeling is surprisingly steep—wrapping your head around Data Lake Objects (DLOs) versus Data Model Objects (DMOs) and getting the relationships and identity resolution rules configured properly takes a lot of trial and error. The credit-based consumption and licensing model can also be stressful to monitor, because running frequent segment recalculations, batch ingestion pipelines, or heavy identity resolution jobs burns through credits fast if your team doesn't have strict governance in place. On top of that, debugging transformation and calculated insight errors still feels somewhat opaque, and deploying configurations cleanly across sandbox and production environments isn't as seamless as standard core CRM metadata. "Awesome All-in-One View That Keeps Everything in One Place"
5/5
What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

Finally having a single view of the customer across everything is huge. We can see what they've purchased, how they're engaging with us, support tickets, everything in one place. It's made our marketing way more targeted and our teams actually understand the full picture instead of working with fragmented data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

The setup is complex and it took way longer than expected to get it all configured properly. You really need someone who knows what they're doing to map everything correctly, or you end up with garbage data. Also, making sure all our systems are feeding the right data into it is an ongoing headache. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Integration, Needs Pricing Improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

I like how Data 360 connects to every other cloud in my Salesforce org and brings all the data together. This integration offers a good grounding of all my data. Being able to connect data from one cloud to another and provide the right context is extremely important, and Data 360 helps with that. The initial setup was extremely easy and smooth because we already had Salesforce in place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

The fact that the charges are by credits and not a one fixed price, for instance, is something I think could be improved. It would be better to have a pricing model based on instance licenses and the amount of data, rather than being charged per credits. If there was one fixed price, that would be better. "Data 360 Unifies Customer Data for Better Segmentation and Insights"
4/5
What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

What I like best about Data 360 is its ability to bring data from different sources together into a more unified customer view. It helps reduce data silos, makes customer information easier to access, and supports better segmentation and personalization. The integration with Salesforce tools and analytics capabilities also makes it easier to turn customer data into useful insights and more informed business decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

Data 360 can be complex to implement and configure, especially when connecting multiple data sources and managing large datasets. It may require specialized technical skills to get the most value from the platform. Costs can also increase as data volume, integrations, and advanced capabilities grow. More straightforward setup and administration would make adoption easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive data integrations, flexible segmentation"
4/5
What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

Initial setup for data ingestion, especially when pulling from Salesforce CRM, is fast and you can have core data streams up and running quickly without a lot of friction.

Integration with many external sources is easy as well, and the zero-copy option is a great for handling large data volumes. It's particularly valuable for something like invoice details, where you don't want to duplicate massive datasets just to make them usable within the platform.

For marketing users, the segmentation experience gives a lot of freedom and flexibility in how audiences are built. Marketers know exactly how many customers are included in a segment before they act on it, which removes a lot of the guesswork and second-guessing that comes with launching a campaign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?

The learning curve is steep, and the UI can be slow when configuring several of the platform's components. Getting comfortable with setting up data streams, identity resolution, and related configuration takes real time and patience, and the interface itself doesn't always make that process feel efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
