The data integration across channels will accelerate our ability to better meet member needs in a more personalized, timely, and efficient manner now and as we further explore agentic marketing capabilities in Salesforce.

**What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

Concerned with any default settings allowing a marketing role to delete an account (perhaps accidentally or intentionally). Administrator can turn this potential hazard off, but it would be nice to default to not allow that to happen without deliberate permission or a failsafe in place to recover data insights.

**What problems is Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Serving as a central repository to migrate our disparate data silos for a better picture of our information, savings from releasing other platforms and ability to coordinate efforts

**What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

I really appreciate Salesforce Data 360's architecture; it represents a new way of thinking and designing. The canonical layer that Salesforce introduced is fantastic, as it helps reduce duplication and consolidates multi-record data into a 'golden record.' This was a game changer for me. I find it incredibly magical how Salesforce holds everything within native apps, which has simplified data storage by eliminating the need for third-party applications. The setup was surprisingly easy, requiring just a few clicks, which made transitioning very smooth.

**What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

One thing is I'm not very certain about the licensing cost.

**What problems is Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Salesforce Data 360 a game changer for storage, reducing dependency on third-party apps and centralizing data. Its canonical layer reduces duplication, turning messy data from multiple sources into a golden record, which is fantastic.

It’s not a feature that’s widely shared.

**What problems is Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No more scuba gear. Data 360 brings together multiple sources of performance data—GA, LI, Meta, spreadsheets, and more—into one place. With the new Marketing Intelligence platform, you can use Agentic AI to query that data, or set up your marketing performance analytics in other ways within Data 360 to surface insights. It cuts out hours of diving through dashboards, reports, and spreadsheets just to understand what’s working.

Segment building is extremely easy for someone without extremely technical skills. It takes a lot of workload off of my dev and allows me to be involved earlier in the process.

**What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

It is extremely difficult to clean up dirty data once it’s in Data 360. This is a common issue for many companies across all industries so having an easier way to clean data once it’s been ingested would be great.

**What problems is Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Siloed data and walled gardens. It’s been great to unify all data points to get a better picture of the full person we’re marketing to.

**What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

I really like the ability to create audiences easily as a marketer without having to go to the IT department to write SQL.

**What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

It is complex, and it would be easier with more agents to help create the audiences because right now, I'm the only one that can do it, and because I know the data best. If we had an agent to help others could use it as well.

**What problems is Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salesforce Data 360 unifies our market data with first-party data, letting me create audiences easily without needing the IT department to write SQL.

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

Unifying customer data across systems in one place gives sales ops much cleaner account views and improves how we support AEs on deals.

**What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

Data ingestion setup is technically demanding — ops teams can't self-manage pipelines without data engineering support.

**What problems is Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fragmented customer data across multiple systems makes it hard for sales ops to get a reliable account view — Data 360 consolidates that into a single profile, which improves how we support AEs and keeps our CRM data more accurate.

The preset Id mapping that is incorrect in transformations

  ### 20. Powerful Real-Time Customer 360, but Implementation and Cost Need Careful Planning

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

This reviewer's identity has been verified by our review moderation team. They have asked not to show their
name, job title, or picture.

**Validated Reviewer:** Validated through a business email account added to their profile

**Incentivized:** This reviewer was offered a nominal incentive as thanks for completing this review.

**Source: Seller invite:** Invitation from a seller or affiliate. This reviewer was offered a nominal incentive as thanks for completing this review.

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

What I like best about Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) is its ability to unify and activate customer data in real time across the entire Salesforce ecosystem. It brings together data from multiple sources—CRM, external platforms, and transactional systems—into a single, harmonized customer profile. This eliminates data silos and provides a true 360-degree view of the customer, which is incredibly powerful for both decision-making and personalization.

What stands out is how quickly this data becomes actionable. Instead of just storing information, Data 360 enables real-time segmentation, automation, and AI-driven insights that can be used instantly across marketing, sales, and service. For me, this means more accurate targeting, better customer experiences, and faster time to value. It also reduces the dependency on complex data pipelines, making it easier to scale data-driven strategies efficiently and confidently.

**What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

What I dislike about Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) is that, despite its powerful capabilities, it can be complex to implement and manage. Setting up data streams, identity resolution, and data models often requires a strong understanding of both Salesforce architecture and data engineering concepts, which can create a steep learning curve. For teams without dedicated expertise, this can slow adoption and delay value realization.

Another challenge is cost. Data Cloud can become expensive as data volume grows, especially when ingesting large datasets or enabling multiple use cases across teams. This makes it important to carefully plan usage and governance.

Additionally, while it promises real-time capabilities, achieving true real-time performance can sometimes depend on how well the data pipelines are configured. Overall, while it is a powerful platform, it requires thoughtful planning, expertise, and investment to fully leverage its potential.

**What problems is Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) solves one of the biggest problems in banking: fragmented customer data spread across multiple systems like core banking, credit cards, loans, and digital channels. This fragmentation makes it difficult to understand customers holistically, leading to inconsistent experiences, missed cross-sell opportunities, and slower decision-making.

Data 360 unifies these data sources into a single, real-time customer profile with identity resolution, giving banks a true 360-degree view of each customer. It also enables real-time data activation, meaning insights can immediately trigger personalized actions across channels like mobile apps, email, and contact centers.

For a banking client, this translates into more relevant product recommendations (e.g., loans, credit cards), improved fraud detection through better data visibility, and enhanced customer service with faster, context-aware interactions. It also supports regulatory compliance by providing cleaner, more governed data. Overall, it helps banks deliver personalized, secure, and efficient experiences while driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

The party identification DMO proves rather difficult to break down and understand, and a good technical understanding of this and the 360 model is needed in order to properly drive unification. **Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

What stands out most is how seamlessly Data Cloud integrates with both Salesforce-native and external data sources like Amazon S3. The platform’s ability to harmonize disparate datasets into a unified customer profile has been a game-changer. Its real-time segmentation and activation capabilities allow us to respond to customer behavior with agility, while the intuitive UI and strong governance features make it scalable across teams. The identity resolution engine is particularly impressive—it’s helped us reduce duplication and improve personalization across channels.

**What do you dislike about Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud)?**

While the platform is robust, the initial onboarding and data modeling phases require a steep learning curve, especially for teams new to CDPs. Some UI components can lag when handling large datasets, and a few connectors for niche third-party tools require custom development. Additionally, documentation around advanced orchestration flows could be more detailed to support complex use cases.

**What problems is Data 360 (formerly Salesforce Data Cloud) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salesforce Data Cloud is helping us solve the challenge of fragmented customer data across systems. By centralizing and harmonizing data, we’ve built a reliable Customer 360 view that powers real-time segmentation and activation. This has improved campaign performance, reduced operational silos, and enhanced customer experience. It’s also helping us stay compliant with data privacy regulations through strong governance features.
