What I like most about CyberSmart is how simple and user-friendly it is, even for non-technical users. It makes it easy to stay on top of security requirements with clear guidance and automated checks, which saves a lot of time. What do you like best about CyberSmart?

I like how CyberSmart has evolved over the past year or two, transforming from just being a solution for certification to incorporating active monitoring, patching, and vulnerability management which makes it more effective. The addition of a cyber insurance feature, once certified, is a nice touch as it opens up conversations in a growing market. The policy management against compliance standards is valuable, even if it's not solely for Cyber Essentials, as it can be applied to ISO 27001 or NIST, among others. It's also very easy to get started with CyberSmart, with minimal friction during setup, which is important for us and our customers. What do you dislike about CyberSmart?

I certainly think that the cyber awareness training could do with a bit more fleshing out. Potentially a little bit more integration with things like Microsoft 365, maybe covering phishing simulation tests. The phishing simulation training could be a great addition and do even more. What do you like best about CyberSmart?

I find CyberSmart's portal easy to use, which is crucial for managing multiple clients' certifications and renewals. I love that I can submit answers as many times as needed, which takes a lot of stress out of doing the certifications. Having an account manager to talk through any issues is really useful. What do you dislike about CyberSmart?

Every single assessment comes back from auditors asking for more information, and often the issues raised are already explained in our answers. It feels like we can never refine our answers across clients' assessments, as different auditors interpret them differently, which delays the assessment by a day or so while we wait for their next response. What do you like best about CyberSmart?

I like how quick CyberSmart is to respond, whether it's through the instant chat feature or emails. Everyone is always polite and helpful, which means I can resolve issues from my clients in good time. As I act as a middleman, I never have to waste time chasing anything, as I know that issues I raise or questions will be resolved often the same day or at least within 48 hours. What do you dislike about CyberSmart?

Sometimes the auditors can cause confusion, especially when clients submit their questionnaire after making amendments, and then new answers are opened that were previously accepted. What do you like best about CyberSmart?

I use CyberSmart to help both myself and my customers with achieving their CyberEssentials. CyberSmart organizes each device in an easy-to-read list, clearly outlining which devices need action and provides a detailed outline on the issues and how to resolve them. I like that it not only outlines and organizes any issues but also tells you the steps to remediate the issue. CyberSmart also has a very helpful feature to automatically update any outdated apps on the devices with just a click of a button, which is easier compared to our RMM that would require more setup. The initial setup was effortless, as CyberSmart provided a direct download link to the installer needed for each device. It was easy to push a script through our RMM to download and install the application on all devices, whether Windows or MAC. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CyberSmart?

If I implement a fix, it does not update on CyberSmart immediately. This makes sense because the device can't be scanning every second of the day. However, I would appreciate a button to manually rescan the device to check if my fix has resolved the issue. Currently, after attempting to resolve an issue, I have to wait a few hours or even overnight to know if it's been fixed. I like that CyberSmart is straightforward and easy to use. The platform makes it clear what actions need to be taken, and the dashboard gives a good overview without being overwhelming. It’s helpful having continuous monitoring rather than just a one-off certification, and the guidance provided is practical and easy to follow. What do you dislike about CyberSmart?

Sometimes the alerts can feel a bit repetitive, especially when I’m already aware of an issue and actively working on it. It would also help if some of the remediation guidance were more detailed or better tailored, since it can occasionally come across as fairly generic. What do you dislike about CyberSmart?

Only a couple of pain points which are:

- The CyberSmart software requires admin rights to install. This is a huge pain, particularly when installing for lots of users, as have to co-ordinate times to do it.

- When the assessments are submitted, the assessors always find something which is fair enough. However, once that is corrected and it goes back for re-assessment, the next assessor always finds something different, which is extremely frustrating. Surely they should all be equal and therefore find the same things without having to re-submit 3 times. This is the most infuriating part of the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CyberSmart?

CyberSmart have a great team who are helpful and realistic with CE and CE+. I can speak to them at any time, not just when completing an audit, to get their guidance and opinion on things. What do you like best about CyberSmart?

The guidance on the form around common pitfalls is invaluable. When something doesn’t quite make sense or I need a bit more help, the support team is always just a click away on chat and has never let me down. The features included with Active Protect now are also really useful (patching, etc.), and it’s something we use for all of our Cyber Essentials customers. Deploying the app is easy through Intune. What do you like best about CyberSmart?

I like that CyberSmart is good to partner with and how the chief security officer, Malcolm Diack, is on the partner advisory board. They definitely listen to the MSP community and have obviously good products. They are the country's leading certification provider, and things like their partner portal and how they work with partners in terms of marketing development funds and general content is really good. Their willingness to work together with us stands out, and we did some co-branding material, which helped me in terms of a sales campaign to win new clients. What do you dislike about CyberSmart?
