Curve is very user friendly. Customer Service is reachable!!Curve is constantly doing updates, which is nice.  Love that it a cloud base system.   Love the billing part of Curve.  It is so nice that it is INVOICE based vs date based.  Very easy to make templated notes.

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

The clinical team dislikes the charting , where they can't see everything on the chart of what was treatment planned. They have to go into each tab to see.

Insurance verification - they are currently working on having insurance verification write into the Curve system. Which will be a BIG time saver.

They are constantly innovating and working in the background to make their software and thus the user experience better. 

With my previous legacy Dentrix software it was headache after headache on an archaic and breaking foundation. Curve is constantly innovating and improving their software and the best part is it happens in the background. Updates are seamless and there is no downtime when they are implemented. Read that again....no downtime. Dentrix, I'm looking at you, King of downtime and practice interruption. 

Add in the value proposition of their included services and quick and knowledgeable support and you have a winning solution for your dental practice.

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

Sometimes they are slow to implement seemingly small improvements that would make things work a little better for people used to "traditional" ways of working in a dental office.

ONE THING WE LOVE IN OUR OFFICE IS THE FA CT THAT WE CAN SEE WHEN CLAIMS HAVE BEING REJECTED, INVALID, OR  MISSING INFORMATION. WE ARE ACTUALLY THINKING IN MOVING OUR OTHER OFFICE INTO CURVE AS WELL, SO EASY TO USE AND OUR STAFF KNOWS HOW TO IMPLEMENT ALL FEATURES FOR THE BEST OF OUR PATIENTS.

The technology is top of the line. They keep up with the latest technology on Curve. I first found out through a friend and I am so satisfied for having switched from Open Dental. This is definitely far better than what I had. It also surpasses Weave in my opinion.

Sometimes I have to wait long to get help through customer care and that is the only dislike I have.

One problem they recently solved was to be able to send photos through texting so patients can send their insurance card photos through text. Also, the schedule and texts can be checked on our phone.

Curve has everything you need and more in a simple to use software. The chart is very clear and we love that there is a feature to draw on the chart. We utilize this when patients have a ligual bar or something of note. Our whole office loves it!

I like that there are work instructions for the lion's share of procedural issues

That it can be challenging to get more complex issues solved, and there are strange "holes" in the software that are not considered a priority by the programing sprint team to resolve.

**Recommendations to others considering Curve Dental:**

Make sure that you have adequate time to manage and mold the conversion. Consider scheduling the first week of use to be very light if possible so that you can ensure that there is minimal "double-checking" of your billable events and synchronizing your ledgers. Also consider making sure that your scanner and clinical imaging devices are fully up tp date from an IT standpoint so that there is a smooth workflow.

It is easier to communicate services to patients and being able to have benefits breakdowns in real-time is quite lovely.

**What do you like best about Curve Dental?**

It's so easy to use and to teach new employees.  They have an amazing setup, with videos and tasks to help new users get familiar with the software.  And the customer service is great! If you don't have time to call right that minute, it's super simple to send in a quick request through the software and they always respond promptly.  Also on days that I'm working from home, Curve makes it easy for me to login and get work done without any hassle.

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

The one I don't like is printing some things from Curve.  The way it prints the daily schedule is not my favorite, and you can't print out completed treatment plans unless you print the invoice.

**What problems is Curve Dental solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Curve is always adding new features and the most current option is the phone integration system Curve Gro.  This integrates your phone system with Curve, for all patient communication, including automatic reminders, billing, plus being able to text with patients is always ideal.

**What do you like best about Curve Dental?**

I made the switch from Dentrix to Curve Hero 9 years ago and haven't looked back. Curve brings so many positive features to our practice management. Features like ease of use; access to the program from any internet connection; the ability to customize several features in the charting system; keeping excellent account of our production (by provider), tracking receivables, and properly routing collections so that they are applied to the appropriate provider; and, most importantly, the ability to customize reporting so that I can view my practice metrics in detail, at anytime. I also appreciate the fact that they have CurveGro to help maintain control of our patient communications and scheduling. Voice-activated perio charting is a huge bonus and has saved my team many hours that can now be devoted to other areas of the business. Another great feature is having access to all of the patient images through the cloud, so if there is something that comes up for a patient and I'm away from the office, I can quickly log in and see the information that I need to see to be able to make quick decisions.

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

Customization of the program can be time consuming, however it is extremely valuable. I would like to have the ability to hide individual line items on the treatment plans and simply have subtotals show for individual visits, but the ability to come up with mulitple treatment options quickly offsets that personal preference. Other than that, I've been extremely happy with the program and knowing what I know now, I would make the switch once again.

Stop thinking about it. Make the change today.

CurveHero helps me keep track of important business metrics like provider production, billing & accounts receivables, insurance management, collections, treatment planning, and much more. In addition, the program has made our practice more efficient with apps like CurveGro, live patient texting, online appointment scheduling and periodontal voice charting.

**What do you like best about Curve Dental?**

I love the EASE of use that Curve Delivers. Our Doctor was always struggling back when we had Eagle Soft and often called me into his office to help him find things. He always said he felt like he would spend the day clicking away. Now with Curve, everything is in one single panel and you don't have to hop around to get where you need to go, we love that! Of course, we're also loving the fact that it's cloud-based because we can access our data from anywhere. If the pandemic shutdown taught us anything, it was that access to our patient database from home was crucial.  Now that we have that access, a window of opportunity also opens up to work remotely in a pinch. Dr. Seage can also access patient films or records from home or on vacation if needed. This has truly been a very big blessing, as I'm sure you can imagine. Overall, just the ease and efficiency of the software is OUTSTANDING! Feels very archaic to think we ever did things differently.

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

Where I do think we would love some changes is in the Charting. Dr. Seage would like a more streamlined way to chart. However, since we started in 2020 with Curve, there have been many many enhancements made that Dr. Seage has been loving. Another reason to go cloud-based! Your software is updated constantly and very seamlessly too. So if there's something we don't like, we just write in some feedback, and Curve does listen, love that!

**Recommendations to others considering Curve Dental:**

I say get a demo and be ready to go cloud-based because that's the future!

TIME! We are saving a lot of time every day. The fact that we don't have to click so much alone, saves us alot of time. Also having everything open in one single window is very clear and efficient.

**What do you like best about Curve Dental?**

I like how updates are made based on the feedback we provide! We have had many new team members come into our practice who have never used this system in the past. The transition has always been seamless. Curve Hero does a great job training new (and old) team members in any area of their software! I love that you can call to talk to an actual person for help when needed.

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

We haven't tried Xrays for a number of years, but we transitioned away from Curve Hero due to the clarity of xrays years ago. 

Also, I feel there is a missed opportunity regarding medical insurance CMS-1500 forms. I think Curve Hero would stand out amongst other dental management software with the capability to send to medical insurance on a form outside of the ADA forms. Many medical plans don't accept the ADA forms any longer, especially when it's not accident related. We have resorted to using an outside company but in doing so it is very time consuming.

We are currently beta testing the PPO write off feature. This has significantly improved the management software. We are saving so much time when it comes to providing estimates!

Curve offers great anywhere anytime options and the ability to have all images for the patient accessible from anywhere.

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

Curve will always have minor issues, and not always the fault of Curve.  All PMS's have problems that are inherently their own.  Curve has been running strong for us for over 7 years, and we are completely happy.

**What problems is Curve Dental solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Curve for almost everything.  Bluefin for credit cards, CurveGro for patient engagement, and all the regular Curve features.  We are satisifed.  We also use it with RCopia and DrFirst for RX's.

I like how user friendly the interface is. It is very clean and visually appealing. I was able to quickly figure out how to navigate the software because of how intuititve it is. Customer service is great too. Leanne Scott is my favorite trainer!

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

I dislike how I cannot access the software from mobile devices and also cannot chart decay on the odontogram without having to draw / label it. I also dislike how sometimes the image capture for xrays can be laggy and sometimes input an old xray from another patient into another chart.

It is not mobile friendly. You can only see your schedule from your smart phone

Main issues are laggy image capture for xrays. When it works, it works well. When it doesn't, it seems like the image did not capture and I end up retaking it only to find out that the image pops up 5 minutes later.

It can be securely accessed from anywhere. When our internet goes out or our server has an issue, I just pull up my laptop with my phone as a hot spot and we can keep the day going.

Graphic charting is not as clear as Dentrix- difficult to see PFM vs ceramic and composites. But they've added hot buttons like dentrix used to have so that will save us time now.

It's made our lives easier, using since 2017.

It has recently taken over what we were using lighthouse 360 for so we have everything synced in one place. Hot buttons have been added which we like for treatment planning.

Personally, I wouldn't say I like that you cant have preselected folders for your Files and Letters. I wish the insurance portion was easier to use as well, very hard to learn to do.

Coming from Eaglesoft, I love the layout and modernity of Curve. It's just plain easier to look at. The support has been absolutely top-notch: in addition to the "Curve Community", which provides tutorials, walkthroughs, and questions posted and answered by both the company and users, it's very easy to get feedback on specific issues.

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

There are definitely quirks in the product. Certain screens display information in a way that's too unwieldy, for instance, billing requires the reader to scroll up and down through columns of information that would be more easily displayed horizontally. They seem to be receptive to feedback, however, and I hope that some of the things we don't like might be changed soon.

**What problems is Curve Dental solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think there have been a couple of big wins with Curve for us: It's a much more cost-efficient system and the support has been so responsive. It has the potential to streamline a lot of our work, with the ability to digitize some of the paperwork and with its companion system, Curve Gro. Having used it in the practice for six months now, we're still learning a lot about how to make it work for us. It has so much in it that we're still learning new shortcuts and functionalities on a regular basis.

I dislike the way you add a note to an appointment. I don't necessarily want it to show in the main notes module, but there are times that it's important to put notes on an appointment. (I prefer the way that you add notes to an appointment in Dentrix).

There are tons of benefits with Curve Hero. My favorite is how responsive their tech support team is. I rarely have to wait to speak with someone about an issue that I am having.

We have been using Curve Hero since 2011.  One feature that I have loved is the easy access from anywhere I am. Inclement weather, Covid shut down or after hours emergencies are so easy to handle!

I honestly can't think of a downside. Since I've used Curve Hero for so long, I've watched it evolve and become more and more robust based on feedback from dentists. Anything I've ever wanted to see change, has changed!!

I have three separate dental practices. Curve Hero allows me to log in to any of the databases from any locations.  It also allows my team to work remotely if needed - two of my teammates are in another state and work as if they are right in the office without having additional equipment or servers for them.

User profiles with the new update are confusing and difficult to manage

I love the ease of use for the system. I also love that there are so many different reports that we can run and that Curve considers what its users need and make updates constantly. I also love that the whole system is cloud based and we can access our patients records at the office or hospital when we do outpatient surgeries.

The one thing I would like to see is a way to look up an invoice by the invoice number.

I like that curve hero is cloud based. This allows our entire office to be able to access patient record and the schedule from home! This came in handy with Covid!

The only thing I dislike is when you uses a smaller monitor or laptop you can't always see the full web page.

Curve hero is the best dental software I have ever used! It's very straight forward and customer service is very easy to get a hold of if you need them. Curve hero is cloud based so you can access your records at any time. You can also pull up the web page on as many computer as you want ( doesn't require license for each computer).

We are able to access ou records from anywhere since it is cloud based. It's very easy to pull up the web page across the office and you dont have to buy downloads for every computer!

> Hi Morgan.  I saw your comment about using a smaller monitor or laptop.  Do you know if the monitor/laptop support changes to screen resolution?  If you change it 1280 x1024, you would be meeting the minimal resolution to help with the scrolling situation.  If your monitor only reaches a maximum screen resolution of 1280 x 800, you should run Curve Hero in Full Screen Mode for optimal display.  I hope this helps.

Curve hero works. I've never experienced any problems with it, so it has been a reliable tool in the office. The layout is generally easy to read, and it has all the features I would need (such as searching individual patients to look up their information and next apointment).

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

I hate that you can't look at it on any device other than a desktop computer. It doesn't work at all on your phone, even in 'desktop site' mode. This can make peeking at your schedule very difficullt unless you have a computer (or laptop) near by. The layout could use a visual makeover since it looks quite old.

Curve Hero allows us to create patient appointments over the phone or in person. Having access to their past, present, and future information speeds things up for reception and doctors.

The customer service has been extremely helpful in all of the questions that we have upon converting to a new software. They always get back to us in a timely manner and ensure that we have all our questions answered.

I only dislike that I am not a pro at the software yet. After being in an old software program for so long, it can be difficult to face change. However, Curve has implemented everything in a quick and timeless way.

Some of the "updates" are awful..I am not sure that the folks that make up the system have ever worked with dental software because they are missing some key ingredients to making the system awesome.  I also wish they considered what the offices need with the system and that if something is working for one office, it may not work for another.

The Curve Gro has never worked correctly for our office.  We have been in constant contact with Curve to fix this new option with our system for months.  That has been a real inconvenience.  We also are having issues with the new billing.  We are not fans as it is challenging to read and maneuver.  In saying this...I feel Curve could do a much better job listening to their customers...after all, we are the ones using the system.

Curves Hero is the most comprehensive practice management tool. It is extremely easy to learn and use from the outset. They are continually improving Based on direct customer feedback and the customer support is world class.

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

The main issues we have is with connection speed, and has nothing to do with Curve itself. But being cloud based, the performance is directly linked to the internet connection speed. For our office location that is sometimes inconsistent.

**Recommendations to others considering Curve Dental:**

If you are looking for a cloud based solution, Curve is the best! It has been especially helpful to be able to manage my practice from home during this shelter in place period.

More efficient scheduling, insurance billing, and patient invoicing. I especially love the clinical charting and Curve’s ability to work seamlessly with many of our digital platforms.

**What do you like best about Curve Dental?**

It is a pretty system, easy to learn.  I like that the sidekick/ toolbar is words instead of a bunch of little icons you need to memorize.  It is a very clean interface and navigation.  The scheduler is very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Curve Dental?**

The reports leave a lot to be desired.  Thre is no short and sweet for the end of day with a total AR (outstanding and credits combined at the end).  Trying to print recare postcards is very time consuming and the margins in the templates are off.  There are still several reports that cannot be created.  The Audit trail is a joke and cannot be used or read for anything - not sure the point of it in the current form.  For security reasons it would be nice to have certain profiles locked down to a location or static IP address.  The third party billing company Curve suggests and pairs with does not work with the statements in Curve and make the office sending the statements look like their heads are somewhere very dark.  When you use DMA there is no due date on the statement, the account number are is highlighted in yellow, and is blank because Curve does not use account numbers, then the envelope DMA uses says be sure to include your account number on your check!  there is also no place to enter the amount that the patient is paying - so if they are on a payment plan or they are paying $500 on a $2000 balance, it is already filled in that they are paying $2000 - no other option.  There is also no option to make a special note on statements or make a billing note print on statements - in Curve or by a 3rd party.  It would be nice if there was a check box for a note made to print ont he statement, so a patient would know that the $50 annual deductible applied to this claim or service, Or  they maxed out annual benefits, etc.  It would also be nice if the amount that was actually billed out (whether it was the fee on the Master Fee Schedule or not) is what showed up on the insurance claim.  Also, if certain adjustments, like the 2% courtey off for paying for services at the time of visit did not come off of the fee submitted to the insurance company.  These two previoous points need a happy medium - there were SO MANY refunds or rebills to insurance companies in the first several months we were on Curve - it wa a part time job in itself!  It would be nice to see a comparison periocharting from last time - or the past few visits to current on the same chart in different colors so patients can see the improvement or worsening of periodontal disease.  It would be nice to be able to copy blocks in the scheduler so if you are entering the same one on the same day, you can copy and paste it.  Also, if the block had information like when it was entered and who entered it like and appt has on it - that would be VERY helpful!  Like a correspondence log even?  The imaging system is nice, but it would be faster if you could rotate or apply magic to all 4 BWX at the same time.  The insurance benefits do not show when a patient has met the deductible for the year.  Recare should be done by service code instead of appt tag - if someone adds BWX but adds the service to the walk-out and not to the appt, the recall is all messed up!  It's too easy to make mistakes.  It meeds to be streamlined and easier for the front and back to use for effectively.

**Recommendations to others considering Curve Dental:**

If your office is small and are light users, this may be a great software for you!  Or if you are a new office and just starting out, you don't send out many statements, etc.  If you are used to Eaglesoft or Dentrix, you will find this software easy to navigate, but frustrating in the ways it is still trying to catch up to those softwares - especially in the billing and insurance sections.  It is a good software, but could be great.  Overtime, we will see.  I wish I had waited another few years before switching my office.  We didn't have this issue, but make sure your internet is up for the challenge too, especially if you use a VOIP phone system.  If your internet goes down or is slow, you have no software.  Insist on a trial run/ fake system to use for a week or so for your office to practice in PRIOR to signing up.  They will tell you it is not available, until you sign the contract, then a miracle happens and a fake/ training system magically appears!

**What problems is Curve Dental solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Insurance benefit checking is nice.  The online portal is nice for patients who want to pay online - though it would be nice if the link was active for them to sign up longer than 24hours.  The online forms are very helpful too!  It would be nice if they could take a selfie for their profile photo, and even a picture of thier insurance card to upload on the portal or the kiosk too.
