What do you like best?

The ease of learning with Curve is what we like best! And that they train you completely with a training module before turning you loose in your live database. And that you can always easily get answers to your questions or issues without sitting on hold for eternity. Curve community is a great resource and filing tickets for something you can't find makes problem solving efficient! I love being paperless and that there is pretty much one way to do each thing that you're trying to do - so that everyone in the office does it the same way. The odontogram and perio charts are very user friendly. We really love everything about it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Although we love being paperless, sometimes I'd like to be able to print out a form for ease when we are busy and have older patients. I don't always have the time necessary to stop and help them use the kiosk. Also - if I add the wrong insurance to a patient's account, I'd like to be able to delete it.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Give it a good hard look. Watch the demos. Talk to offices that are using it so that you can see what any daily challenges might be. What do you like best?

I love that this software is cloud based which allows you to reach the schedule and office information through any computer compatible with chrome. This allows for us to each out patients even when we are out of the office due to weather conditions or even vacation times. Also, we have around the clock access to curve community when we have questions about the software. There customer service team is very help when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The inconsistency with claim submissions. We have been having some issues with getting claims to our insurances companies we are in network with but we are able to use curve community or send a ticket to offer new ideas for future software updates.

-length it takes to send a claim with an attachment

-not being able to delete cancelled claims

-the date for appts/ DOB is not in us standards

-goes down every so often due to be cloud based

-can not make payment plans

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I do recommend Curve dental to others because of its sleek look and dental friendly layout. It is easy to schedule patient, change the hours and or collection from patients. There are endless opportunities with curve. This dental software can be used anywhere, since COVID-19 I have been able to access all the office needs from the comfort of my home. You can work where ever you need to. The x-ray attachment works well for the clinical side as well as organizing the images for FMX and other mounts for a different combination of x-rays. For the price you can't beat it! Curve makes user friendly insurance fee schedules easy to access/ over due payments charts/ patients that are due for recare and many more.

Curve offers a free demo at any time!

If you are looking into curve hero be sure to still have another source of time cards because Curve does not offer this feature.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Curve has helped with staying on top of appointment confirmations and providing us with real time updates on production/ collection as well as outstanding treatment plans. You can make a subject/treatment specific report that is automatically generated through curve. This helps us reach out in regards to re-care and many more.

What do you like best?

The feature of Curve Community and all it has to offer is extremely impressive. To have a question that is easily researchable within our own system helps save time and energy. With our previous system, we had to connect to the messenger system that would take us to a browser when the practice management was software so we would leave the origin of the issue. If you could not respond fast enough, the chat would end and your questions would go unanswered. The fast responsiveness that the tech teams offer is one that cannot compare! To be able to pick up the phone if you have a more in depth question and have someone log right in to see what is going on is so relieving because you do not have to explain yourself, it is evident by the tech because they can see it too! This seriously makes the anxiety of not knowing about a feature much easier when you know someone is always there to assist you.

We are also very impressed by the simplicity of appointment making and editing. Many of the girls have no experience with treatment planning and scheduling so this makes the process very translatable for the Clinical to the Admin team. Creates less confusion end to end in the office so that there is no hard line between the front and back office.

The patient portal is something we are still working on getting set up with all patients; it has been easiest to do with new patients. But the features it offers where we can send them forms online and they have access to educational videos is something we have never been able to offer. Patients have already commented on how impressed they were with filling out forms online rather than wasting time writing down their medical history on paper when they arrive. This saves the office time and money as well.

When it comes to reporting - this is one of a kind. My office manager could not be more thrilled with the filtering and extremely specific data she is able to collect. This will help on an individual basis as well as the team as a whole. To offer graphs and charts that show our production, collection, and numerous other features is something that the whole team can get behind and see in a more colorful sense of where we are and where we need to go to increase productivity and profits.

The Dr has the ability to treatment plan in a fashion that is simple and structured according to the sequence of care he would perform. He is able to give direct instruction to the dental assistant for her to then record what series of steps the plan is going to go through.

In the treatment presentation process, it is seamless in the handoff from clinical to admin so that we can just print out the plan and go over the finances in an organized appointment fashion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

As of right now, we very much dislike that the patient profile does not offer a fill-in place for us to enter in patients' medications so we can review them in an easily reachable place. The hygienists' responsibility is to review the medical history at each visit and this section where alerts are, does not make it easy for us to enter in medications that may have contraindications so that patients stay safe.

The imaging system is very touchy and not as beneficial as it was explained to us. We set up templates for an FMX and each time they are taken, photos need to be flipped around. We have changed settings many times and everything keeps reverting, making it very exhaustive to take a simple series of xrays. This has set an example to our new patients that makes it look like we do not know what we are doing. At least once per patient, I (front desk admin) need to leave my seat to help the clinical team; this disrupts what I am doing so I can help sort out the problem and unfortunately makes the clinician feel less confident in their area of expertise.

Reflecting on what we like about Curve treatment planning, there is also a major dislike; the ability to customize any sort of narrative or description on the plan. We are out of network with all insurance plans but also like to fill in what insurance may contribute to the services. We also have a prepay incentive that allows for patients to receive 5% off the total service if they are able to pay in full and schedule. This is something we currently have to print off the plan and write onto the treatment plan before having the patient sign and give them a copy. With COVID-19, we are trying to coincide with no-touch low-touch and printing off paper unfortunately involves handling of something that cannot be sanitized. We were informed that an update would make this possible but have yet to see it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Currently, we are experiencing some difficulties with custom fields trying to get new letters set up for the patient portal, especially during this time of COVID-19. I am unable to add sections that would allow for more customization pertaining to our office specifically. There is a lot of new research showing that airway is a major factor and indicator on a person's dental health and we desperately need to add these questions in the initial new patient triage so we can handle them appropriately.

The inability to have layers of patient information is sometimes inconvenient. The Dr likes to look at x-rays and perform an intraoral camera exam at the same time. The feature is one in the same so you are either taking photos or looking at them and I think this comes as some frustration for the clinical team.

Using Eaglesoft previously has created some routine for us and with us still being fairly new to the software, with delay of COVID-19, we feel a little behind the 'curve' and are anxious to get more familiar with all that Curve has to offer so that our problems with this system goes down exponentially. What do you like best?

I love how intrinsic all the features are in Curve. It makes the user experience super simple and user friendly. The tooth and perio charts are beautiful and are a great tool to utilize in conversations with patients since they are so easy to understand. I love that we can give them a very clean visual of everything in their mouth. Curve has really streamlined so many things in our practice. One of the most invaluable things about Curve is that we have suggestions about how the modules can be tweaked to better fit a working dental practice, they actually listen and often incorporate our suggestions in the software. What do you dislike?

In our practice we work with medical insurance quite a bit. One of the biggest downsides to Curve is that there is no central location for storing medical insurance info or tracking medical claims status. What do you like best?

The cloud based system and its modern interface fit the times. Older practice management platforms are a thing of the past, I've been a dentist for 11 years and i see the same programs i used in Dental School from time to time and not much has changed. Curve Hero is keeping up with the times, and i have a feeling the longer people wait to switch, the more difficult it's going to become. It makes all aspects of the practice run smoothly, And they can customize your Management platform to suit your needs, like, getting paid, links to your website and, literally check your records anywhere u get Wi-fi.... i planned a large case one time waiting for a flight... i called the patient when i got to my destination and when i returned we followed through with the procedures... I'm not saying this type of work is for everyone, but if i have downtime, it's actually fun to log in to the cloud based system and analyze and strategize according to records, trends, and at the same time i'm researching in the next window the efficacy of a new dental material... Curve Hero is simply the best Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I'm finding that i'm looking at things differently in the diagram of dentition, but after some time with it, i realized i could change the color scheme as well as the arrangement of teeth... no problems yet Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My work has been streamlined with Curve Hero, from anything from reviewing radiographs and treatment planning at home, for the patients who want all the options...

Also, i never have the program glitch or be inaccessible since its not reliant on a server. All i have are 3 microsoft surface pros and an Hp desktop for the office staff, and patient intake forms. What do you like best?

We like the appearance of the scheduling layout for different providers and the patient sidekick to quickly find patients. We have found the "Who's on Deck" feature beneficial for a quick glance of the day as well as the new billing graph at the bottom of the billing page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It would be nice to have more customization unique to our practice and patients. It would be beneficial to have some functions automated to help streamline.

We do not like the archive, inactive, deleted, and active categories as there is not much of a difference between the categories. For instance patients deleted should no longer be active. Duplication of recare appointments showing in the treatment plans based on if the patient cancels or not.

With the new statements that were updated last year, they seem to be confusing to the patients and a waste of paper. Many of them contain several pages. The format that is shown when you print an invoice is easier for the patients to read and uses less paper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Ease of use. Curve is very user friendly. I also love that if I don't understand how something works within curve I can find a tutorial in Curve Community. I can also send in a ticket and have a direct response within an hour or less. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

We love that you can log into the system from any computer, anywhere and be able to have all of the patients information at your fingertips. This is a great software and the implementation team is always looking for ways to improve. Our office is unique in that we need old claim forMs and they are unable to meet that demand (2002 claim form). That is my only complaint.

What do you like best?

Curves Hero is the most comprehensive practice management tool. It is extremely easy to learn and use from the outset. They are continually improving Based on direct customer feedback and the customer support is world class. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Being 'old school', I was hesitant to switch to a cloud based dental program but now that our office has converted, I love it. Curve Hero offers so many features and I've never had a problem getting in touch with the support staff. I view the training modules whenever I have a question or concern. What do you like best?

I love the ease of use for the system. I also love that there are so many different reports that we can run and that Curve considers what its users need and make updates constantly. This is by far the best cloud-based software I can find that is available for dental offices. We are actually a specialist's office and have found this to be the best fit for us. Having been in this industry for 16+ years, I have experienced many different softwares. If you don't understand what a TRUE cloud-based program is, I recommend that you learn. What do you like best?

Curve is very user friendly. I like that it is cloud-based. I work from home in the evenings and weekends, so I appreciate how easily I can access our account from my laptop or computer. If one of our hygienists is ill for example- I have them call me ASAP in the morning because I can access our schedule at home and know immediately what changes I'll need to make once I get in to work. Scheduling visits is simple- the recare tab makes it easy to see where the patient is with scheduling their visits. I use the color coding all day every day when patients call in. Dragging visits over into the schedule from recare and charting is so simple. I've recently started utilizing the Playbook dashboard. I'm the office manager at our practice so I like to check on production and collections on a daily basis as well as monthly and yearly. I run a periodic report every evening at close to see our production for that day. I use other reports as well- the bank deposit report is used at the end of day for balancing. The detailed report is the first place to look if we are out of balance because we can quickly match up all collections for the day and find i there's been a mistake in entry at some point. Other reports we use on a regular basis are the insurance reports. For example- I received an insurance payment the other day without an EOB- just a check with the patient's first name listed. I went into reports and found who had that particular insurance an checked each patient until I found one that had the same first name and had an outstanding balance in billing from that insurance company. What do you dislike?

I do not like the changes you made to billing statements a few months ago. Our patients are very confused by them. There seems to be a lot of information listed- almost too much information. Payments are in light gray- very difficult to see. And balances carried forward look like additional charges. We've had some issues with certain insurances not showing an estimate in the invoice line in billing, so statements are created because it looks like there is only a patient balance remaining. We use filters when creating statements and usually wait until the insurance balance is less than .01 to send statements out to patients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Curve Hero's customer service is great! They are available whenever we call with a problem or question and most of the time have a solution very quickly. They are timely and efficient- we hardly ever have a wait when calling for help. They also respond quicky when we submit tickets with questions, problmes or suggestions. I admire that calls are addressed quickly. The Curve team knows how to get the results you may be looking for in a custom report... or a simple bookkeeping adjustment in a patient account. #Curve office since 2013~love how it has grown. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Would like to see a connection between my short call list and when we attempt to schedule an appt for someone on that list.

Patient Portal saves lots of time - forms can be emailed and completed at home ~ synced into the software without any printing! Our patients love that!

Ease of scanning files/EOB's/reports... no paper to accumulate!

What do you like best?

The Curve Hero system is very modern and simple to use. The software helps me and the members of my team organize our daily, weekly and monthly tasks with ease. The ability to generate reports that can narrow down anything you want to review about your current data is an amazing tool. I love how there are always updates that benefit our office needs. Its almost as they are reading my mind! (ARE YOU?) This helps our office be more productive and handle the workload given with more ease. I truly appreciate their support team and ticket system. They are quick and helpful.

It is such an amazing software. I do not know why anyone would choose any other system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Can't think of any but if I do I will submit a suggestion. One thing... I would like to see the software with more updates for our orthodontic part of the practice. We use to have Orthotrac and would really appreciate the benefits of having some features for ortho patients. We are doing just fine with the current features Curve has to offer. I love the rejected claims report. Any issues we are facing through errors that should have been reviewed at the time of the patients appointment can be identified and taken care of immediately. What do you like best?

I love that all of our patient data is stored in the cloud for us and is accessible ANYWHERE! It makes everything a breeze. Their self-help options and customer service are also beyond fabulous! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I love the convenience and portability of a web based system. They are always innovating and improving their product. The Curve Community videos and tutorials are very informative for training and refreshing a subject. Their customer service is phenomenal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There isn't a lot to dislike. There are a few small things in Connex such as a complement of languages to confirm in as well as being able to customize the email/text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The biggest benefit for me is the ability to work outside of the office when I can't come in. This makes my time much more productive. The other great feature that Curve has is the ability to see your production, collections and comparisons in an instant. This is huge in knowing where the practice is at any given time!
