**What do you like best about Bruntwork?**

My interactions with BruntWork partners was exceptional. There were 3 handoffs - sales and candidate identification, interviewing and selection, onboarding and support - and each person was professional, well-versed, on-time and provided fast follow-up. I like that full-time VAs earn paid tome off and other perks. The back-office for tracking time cards, paying bonuses, reviewing team details. etc., is easy to use and valuable.

**What do you dislike about Bruntwork?**

I’m in my first month of training my VA in marketing, course design, and social media, and there’s a steep learning curve as she gets to know my business so she can represent me and my goals well. Like any other employee, you have to invest time in a new VA, but I have no doubt it will pay off.

So far, I don’t dislike anything about BruntWork. That said, I do wish they provided a hiring and onboarding planning document (similar to a tax prep document) that lays out activities and practical tips that are otherwise spread across various videos and presentation decks. I ended up creating my own, but it took time. In the end, though, it was probably a helpful exercise and will make me better prepared the next time.

**Recommendations to others considering Bruntwork:**

I think success starts with a well-crafted job description with specific tools referenced so the BruntWork people can search candidates for the right key words. Spend some time getting that right with your rep. Also, give yourself the time to onboard when you are ready - training takes time on top of your current workload and that can be stressful. I am already planning my next VA and am envisioning the future of my little company differently.

I operate a holistic medicine training and education group. We are always stretched thin and trying to keep up with ever-changing technology while we maintain subject matter expertise and provide guidance to our practitioner clients. I needed to find someone with technical expertise in graphics, course design, interconnectivity knowledge for live events and 3rd party apps, and social media marketing.

I really liked how Bruntwork helped with the interviews, making the hiring process smooth. The concept of hiring expertise, especially from outside the country, is something I appreciate. I find their setup as a hiring agency appealing, making it easier to search for necessary expertise.

When qualifying someone that works, it's more about seeing more than just one or two jobs that they're having. It's depending on the years they've been in a company or doing the same expertise. That will determine things like the payment and here's the expertise. Giving someone like, 'this is the pricing and these are the expertise' would be useful.

What I like most about BruntWork is the fast and efficient service. The initial interviewing process was outstanding with a very quick turnaround, and the ongoing support has been just as impressive. Whenever I need something, it’s actioned promptly, which is fantastic. Roxanne has been with our business for just four weeks, initially starting part-time, and she has already proven to be an incredible asset. Her motivation, initiative, and ability to quickly learn our processes despite having no prior experience in our industry has been truly impressive. Due to her outstanding performance, we’ve now brought Roxanne on full-time. We couldn’t be happier with the support we’ve received from BruntWork in helping us find such a capable and dedicated team member.

We were unable to have internal social media management with the majority of our marketing spend going toward brand awareness and lead generation.  Having MJ come on board has allowed us to keep a presence, modernize our platforms, have consistent posting, internal creatives, brand consistent imaging and messaging, and so much more!

Some placements are better than others. We’ve had to weed through a few hires before ultimately letting them go.

Some hires may have the right background but not the right mindset. During interviews, look for the characteristics that will help you determine whether the person is likely to be a longer-term engagement or simply a short-term solution. We’ve found that some hires are more malleable than others, and those placements have tended to stay the longest.

Of the 3 or 4 companies I initially contacted, Bruntwork were by far the best operation for the reasons mentioned above, from the very first contact. They are professional, efficient, thorough and flexible. The staff that were shortlisted were all possibilities for my required role, indicating that all the staff they provide are very high quality.

Gray Malicay is the most helpful. The upsides of using Bruntwork is having someone trained in all areas of the company. Very little training is needed.

Not having Gray Malicay in person. There are sincerely no other downsides that I can add.

Do it! I think you will find forever friends. I hope we get to the point of bringing on more people.

Having Gray Malicay help out in our everyday operations has really changed our flow. Things are getting completed a lot faster. We are still considered a start up company and having Gray be able to help out in every department has changed the game for us.

Their careful assessment to pick the right VA to match our needs is extremely valuable. The regular check-ins by Bruntwork agents to see how things are progressing with our VA show great support. I also find good reviews helpful and reassuring in deciding to choose their services.

Their portal and timekeeping issues that are not related to our VA clocking inappropriately, but are inherent in their system. We haven't had a payroll yet without having to raise an issue with the software bugs.

It's a cheaper platform than others, but you do all of the work/cost in monitoring productivity and compliance. There are other platforms that are full-service, but also cost more. Find what platform serves your needs at a price you are willing to commit to.

Accounts receivable and insurance verification/authorizations need constant care and attention. We tackle it in many ways. Our Bruntwork worker, Delia, does an excellent job of learning and applying the guides we give her for providing the service/support we need. She asks appropriate questions and is growing rapidly in her position. We anticipate great things in the future and appreciate the partnership.
