I haven't found any other platform that is capable of this level of production quality, you have immense flexibility while everything looks super professional. **What do you dislike about Brandlive?** The UX is a maze. In the midst of Brandlive being incredibly flexible, where you can control things is buried in very obscure places, likely because these features have been added on ad-hoc. The landing page / event page setups are IMMENSELY confusing, especially if you're not trying to host a multi-session event. **What problems is Brandlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main problem with webinar / live stream platforms is the lack of production capabilities. With others, you're locked into a specific layout for speakers on camera and for media, etc. With Brandlive, you can choose a variety of layouts and styles for your show. ### 3. The trainings were absolutely needed because most of the platform isnt intuitive. The creative team helped us take the event to the next level with graphics, animations, and other creative assets, and the production team was super easy to work with, very professional, and executed the event flawlessly. The platform is easy to use as a user and as an admin, and it created an incredibly professional and exciting environment for our employees. Our global teams are dispersed and remote and the event and platform brought everyone together in much better way than the traditional webinar tools we use. Employees expect commercial-grade experiences these days and we're not always able to deliver that with enterprise tools - it was very impactful to create an event that did with Brandlive! **What do you dislike about Brandlive?** Only downside is that you set a high bar for future events that you have to meet next time. :) **What problems is Brandlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** Delivering a very simple, easy to use, and engaging virtual event for employees. Webinars and meetings on standard webinar or video conference tools are getting super stale. Using the front and backends in Arabic unveiled a lot of issues. The tools although solid, they lack compared to other competing services. Our in-house team has limited resources, and I was concerned a new vendor would take a lot of work to get up to speed. Not the case with Brandlive; they were able to produce a great production in a short time window with minimal work on my side to make it happen. **What do you dislike about Brandlive?** The only real feedback our audience had was the limited ability of the Brandlive platform to allow virtual attendees to ask questions via video. With the universal use of Teams/Zoom it's somewhat expected. But I think most were happy to make the trade-off for the higher production value the Brandlive platform brings. **What problems is Brandlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using the Brandlive platform helps us reduce the cost of seasonal sales launch meetings, which traditionally have been in-person. Their ability to pivot, respond to feature requests, and make incremental improvements to the platform sets them apart. It really functions like a professional, broadcast-grade switcher which is so important for the kind of programs that we're putting on. You don't have to have much, if any, technical knowledge in order to run it, which was great for us during the pandemic when we had to make a quick shift from in-person to virtual events without a streaming support staff to help. Additionally, their support has overall been fantastic, we've done some pretty intense projects and they're overwhelmingly been there to support and troubleshoot when we needed it. **What do you dislike about Brandlive?** It feels like Brandlive is in a growth period, which is great, but can lead to some hiccups along the way. We've encountered some streaming issues due to updates going through during a scheduled event which is obviously not ideal. Additionally, the file output has been something that we've had to contend with as the variable frame rate doesn't necessarily work for post-event editing. One thing we wish was easier is the login process, we've created some work arounds for speakers but having them have to create an account each time is way more difficult than we wish it was. **Recommendations to others considering Brandlive:** Most important thing would be to understand the speaker login process and make sure that the file outputs work for you. **What problems is Brandlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** When the pandemic started we had to pivot quickly and Brandlive solved a lot of the problems that we were having with Zoom (which didn't allow for any sponsorship branding, lower thirds, video play, etc...). This has been a game-changer for selling sponsorship for events, specifically around our big festival that happened virtually in 2020 with 20+ different sponsors, videos, etc... ### 30. We used Brandlive for an all-virtual event in November 2021. The platform is slick and relatively easy to navigate; registration was easy to set up and manipulate. The support provided before and during the event was top-notch. We encountered a couple of issues during the event that seemed overwhelming to us, but our Brandlive support quickly solved the problems with minimal interruption. I would highly recommend Brandlive for any virtual event. **What do you dislike about Brandlive?** Registration would be improved with the ability to register groups and not just individuals. Some of the backend processes are clunky and not intuitive. We utilized a DJ prior to sessions and during transitions. For two years, our company has met over Zoom or Teams, so we are accustomed to technical issues and bad connections by the speakers. The inclusion of the producer significantly elevated our presentations. From ensuring we are framed correctly in the video feed to count-ins for each speaker, the producer put all of our guest presenters at ease. One global speaker remarked that this was the best platform she has used. The customizable event websites also made a positive impact on our meetings. The combination of pre-recorded on-demand and live sessions, as well as links to other websites, created rich content. Since our attendees span five time zones and multiple countries, attendees loved the freedom to explore when convenient for them. The website is also easy to customize with our branding- it was beautiful. I must also mention how pleasant all of our contacts are at BrandLive. They promptly responded to our inquiries and guided us in website design and functionality. **What do you dislike about Brandlive?** On my wishlist would be the ability to have screen share in the native breakout rooms and a producer for multi-presenter meetings. My company likes to have the audience on camera, so the live stream isn't ideal. BrandLive offers Zoom rooms (which we used), and it worked fine. After adapting to the online space for events such as webinars and hosted smaller meetings, we ran our first large completely virtual institute with Brandlive as the platform in late 2021. We found the support of the highest level -- very responsive to our many customization requests, and the platform was mostly smooth with a couple of bumps (which were fixed immediately by our team). **What do you dislike about Brandlive?** I wouldn't say we disliked anything -- more that we fully expected some challenges hosting a 400+ person, 40-college event with varying levels of technological savvy from our college practitioners and leaders. We had some of those -- mostly around navigating the platform - but for a first go at the platform overall everything was handled by our team from Brandlive smoothly. **Recommendations to others considering Brandlive:** Depending on the level of savvy of your audience, I would suggest creating a "User Navigation Guide" for any large event to answer the 4-5 most common questions that you will get during the event... **What problems is Brandlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** Again, our organization is known for hosting interacting, engaging, impactful in-person institutes for large numbers of colleges. As everyone has learned in the last 24 months, you can't just port that approach online and expect it to work in a similar fashion. It's easy enough to use for someone with 0 coding or html experience. Working with the Brandlive team however is the very best part. They guided us with best practices, answered our constant stream of questions, and managed recording, edits, rehearsals, and hours live during the event with calm professionalism and poise. At no point during this process did we think we could've done this ourselves. They went above and beyond, far outside any 9-5 job, to ensure our event was the best experience for our audience possible. **What do you dislike about Brandlive?** The tech itself, in October 2021, was in beta stages and we'd occasionally run up against a constraint or limitation that we would have preferred to handle differently, or make the design slightly more custom, when we couldn't. But the team would always submit a development ticket and occasionally be able to address our request with a workaround. I imagine the tech only improves. Nothing was ever a dealbreaker or a real problem for us. **What problems is Brandlive solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed an end-to-end platform solution for delivering a unique all-day virtual event with many moving pieces between live and prerecorded segments. Brandlive was able to capture and edit the prerecords all in one place, as well as provide the live producer who could connect all the wires backstage. They helped us get onboarded, and our event setup in less than 24 hours. After having to adjust our virtual strategy, the team at Brandlive jumped into the deep end with our team to pull off a great virtual option for our live event. Greenroom: The ability to communicate between Brandlive producers, our onsite production team and any virtual participants in a seamless fashion during the setup and broadcast was great. This tool worked very well and is one of the best options I've seen. Way better than just a separate zoom going on with the various production teams. Privacy/User Controls: The ability to have unique passwords for each view was an essential feature and this worked great! **What do you dislike about Brandlive?** Lack of ability to boot viewers - On the off chance we had a viewer enter the broadcast that shouldn't be there, we would love the ability to boot them from our event. We were able to work around this by being very intentional with invites and password distribution. Customization of landing pages/microsite - We were one of the earlier users of their new platforms, and they were still working out the kinks, but some additional ability to customize the styling would be nice. Brandlive was able to add this feature, which was incredibly beneficial. The audience our live-streamed sessions have reached is impressive. We started using BrandLive for our virtual events after having a few negative experiences with other platforms and we now use them for every event we do even our in-person events!
