Confusing and a bit elementary **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2024 **What do you like best about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?** At its most basic function, Brainshark made it possible for our new hires to view their self-paced content. **What do you dislike about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?** I used Brainshark for two years and could truly never locate any of our content when using the standard searching capabilities; I always had to rely on my administrative privileges to find items (unsure if and/or how those with standard user permissions could find anything). Overall the platform was a bit confusing, even after having met with regularly with our CSM. **What problems is Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark) solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are now using an alternative LMS that fits our needs much better and is easier to use. With our new tool we can locate content with ease, have new hires register for live sessions, etc. ### 2. Uploading presentations is easy and hassle-free. **What do you dislike about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?** Won't load on certain browsers, difficult to access background functionality, assigning groups and permissions is a chore that could be simplified. The 'welcome' email to new users reads more like spam than anything else. Group learning management should be simplified as well. **Recommendations to others considering Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark):** If you need somewhere to store content, and monitor completion, Brainshark is the solution. If you aren't 100% set on those things, I can't think of a reason not to seek out alternate options which are easier to use and much cheaper. Brainshark does that. It can house content, and allows for easy search and sharing (though that part isn't particularly simple). ### 3. It works great in terms of marketing and sales working together to pull together presentations for clients. It's an easy platform to include remote employees into the presentation. **What do you dislike about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?** Works terribly on mobile and the platform looks really out of date. The majority of our customers are using mobile throughout the day so this can be really frustrating for us. Most people leave as soon as the enter into our mobile presentation experience. **Recommendations to others considering Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark):** Find a different platform that is much more mobile friendly. The presentation mode on this platform is really impressive but looks incredible out of date and needs to be refreshed. I also get frustrated when looking at the analytics from our mobile usage - most mobile users click into the presentation and leave very quickly because of the experience. It's hard to understand how to click from slide to slide and the orientation doesn't work for easy viewing. **What problems is Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark) solving and how is that benefiting you?** An easier way to pull together a presentation with voice over. You can record from slide to slide so it's easy to edit and easy to have multiple people speaking throughout the presentation on different slides. ### 6. My company uses it for online training, and it has been an uphill battle to make the product work for us. The reports they offer for tracking are not what we'd like to see, so there is a lot of tweaking done on our end to make those into what we'd like. The new Learning Locker where our curricula are held for the students are really not designed very well for our students. They used to not have to scroll to see all of their courses. Now only about 3 courses are visible on a screen so they have a lot of scrolling and searching to do to find the course they need. **What problems is Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark) solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to send trainers all over the world to train our employees, dealers, distributors and customers on our products.
