**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I like that Athena includes all the platforms you’d need to run a medical practice. Athena collector has a good dashboard feature that helps you see what is pending and needs work.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Since they’ve gotten bigger, they’ve transferred their customer service overseas which can be frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

It’s a very seamless transition to switch and the full service billing options really can’t be beat

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We bill all our claims, patient statements, collections, appeals and credentialing. It’s beneficial that everything can be done while using just one platform.

  ### 3. Good overall, could use some changes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Everything flows well. They have a dash board and tutorial you can use to help learn how to use the website.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

They have drop down menus. I feel like the user should be able to choose what options are listed. (Such as caller: self, parent, physician, physical therapist, etc”)

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patient problems, questions, concerns. We’re anle to take a message and direct it to the doctor or whichever department their message requires instantly.

  ### 4. Great Product

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2019

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

There is nothing I dislike about this program

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling appointments is vital to my job and Athena makes it very easy.

  ### 5. Helpful and Efficient

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Athena has a solution for nearly any problem you might have in your practice. From claims to collecting and even electronic records, Athena speaks to every aspect of practice management. After implementing it in a few of the practices I contracted with, they saw a huge increase and profitability.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

It's pretty pricey! Harder for it to be worth it in smaller practices that are just getting started. You almost have to be an existing practice that just wants to make a switch than start out using this program before you know how much you'll be pulling in.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Claims tracking is so much easier using Athena! You can catch claims that haven't been paid or correct the ones that have been denied using their Athena dashboard. This keeps claims from slipping through the cracks and keeps them in front of you until the issues are fixed.

  ### 6. Athena

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

What i like best was all the different things that it offers yet how easy it is to access and find everything

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

What i disliked was the having to constantly change passwords

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I realized that it was a pretty damn good software and that i miss it

  ### 7. Good Product

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brit T. | Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

We liked Athena for about 2 years , excellent with training on the go live.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Lack of training after the first year, price increase

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Really understand the billing, scrubbing, and claims kickback codes.
If you have additional staff that can dedicate their time to one specific job, than great.
if you have 1 to 2 people who wear many hats in the office.. Dedicate one's job solely on billing.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We love the Clinical side of Athena however the billing side could really use some work.
The cost of the system compared to the amount of work was not worth it.

  ### 8. Athena for busy Clinic days

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sohayla R. | General Surgery Resident Physician , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Athena Health in the clinical setting is useful in that the EHR is organized from the beginning of the patient encounter to the time the patient is checked out. The system is compatible with multiple clinicians whose list of patients can be pulled up and as patients present to the clinic, the time in which they present to the clinic is listed. This helps the clinician decide to see patients who have been waiting longer. When the encounter is opened, the tabs are organized in simple categories along the left side which helps the clinician browse through patient information. In doing so, the tabs have a "pull out" effect which layers the information over the main page for the patient. This is especially helpful in that if a clinician is writing in the medical records and wants to refer to another tab, the writing would not be lost, but saved until the tab is pulled back into position.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

The assessment and plan portion of the EHR is also linked to ICD codes which does not always translate well with the selections the clinician may want to make. I have found that the search sometimes limits clinicians to codes that do not expand beyond the basic diagnosis even though specific diagnosis is present and the diagnosis needs to be selected multiple times (multiple clicking) until the ICD code is accepted based on laterality of the diagnosis if applicable, and other details that may or may not be available to the clinician.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Best in the outpatient setting rather than inpatient.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

High patient volumes are being addressed with AthenaHealth. Given the low number of physicians to patient ratio, physicians are normally overwhelmed and systems that are compatible with these issues help the workflow. The EHR has shown to mediate these volumes so that residents working with attendings can see see many patients, patient wait times are decreased, and the time spent browsing and clicking through the EHR decreases.

  ### 9. Athena Health, EMR/EHR for the New Ages

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenn A. | Independent Business Owner, Hospital & Health Care, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I love that Athena Health is so very easy to use and helps make a transition from one area of your patient's info to the next. Not to mention from your previous EMR/EHR.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

I don't like the fact that so few other offices in my area use it or know anything of it. This is no fault of the makers of Athena Health. It is due to the fact that Medford, OR is an "EPIC" town.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Ask for a trial run before purchasing to make sure Athena Health is right for you, your staff, and your practice. Do this with any EMR/EHR that you are considering.....

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Athena Health I have started to solve all the denied claims that were coming through my office. With Athena, my appeals rate has been cut in half.

  ### 10. Athena = User Friendly and Efficient

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Athena is very straightforward and I find all interfaces and modules of the software easy to navigate even if you're not familiar with it. It's effective on both the clinical and financial levels.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

There isn't much I don't like but the lag time when opening and editing reports can be a little inconvenient. I also wish the reporting capabilities we're more robust in the amount of data that can be processed in a minimal amount of time.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm an analyst in finance and accounting and have been able to utilize Athena to capture more accurate collection rates, more robust population health statistics, and the growing need to segregate all claim related transactions at multiple levels within multiple practices.

  ### 11. Athletic Trainer

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

It is more electronic than other EMRs. You can automatically fax/sign documents out of the system. The help desk is always readily available. It is nice that you can access from satellite locations.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

It takes way too many steps/clicks to renew medications.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized that it has more capability than we were initially aware of. There are some hidden features. Learn as you go.

  ### 12. Great EMR system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

It’s very easy to use in comparison to other EMR systems available.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

If you switch formats on one page, each page switches formats when you have multiple windows open.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Updating patient information and chart information is way easier, and the time it takes with each patient is minimalized.

  ### 13. Easy to use, good looking, intuitive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I love how intuitive and easy to make sense of athena is. It's a real pleasure to work with, and makes managing our patient's care so much more stress free!

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

I wish the provider options on orders were able to be edited simply, and the notes under patient cases were able to be edited as well. Those are the two big issues I seem to run across- which does affect timeliness (i.e. fax numbers change, and there's no easy way to change the information in the system without making a thousand versions of the same provider info.)

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patient care management has improved, and is completed in a much more timely fashion. Training new employees is so much easier thanks to the intuitive interface.

  ### 14. AthenCollector for health clinic

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Ease of use. Also how you can easily look up patient files by date of birth, last name, or ID number which athena generates for each patient file created. I also like how you can view trends about vitals of a patient to see whether they're health plan is benefiting them or they need to be on another track.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

I don't like the time it took to fully get trained on how to understand and use it efficiently. Will take at least 1 month

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Make sure to trial athena before fully implementing, it takes some time to train to use it efficiently.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having all the patients information just one click away organized, and detailed versus having a clutter of physical copies of patient charts. I find it very beneficial that we have all important health files accessible for the provider to access at time of visit.

  ### 15. Athena Health Experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I think it is easy to use and I love that they have training modules for anyone who wants to go in and learn on their own.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

I dislike when patient payments are posted to the wrong account or payments are split up and applied to different dates of services. It is very confusing for the patient and to explain to the patient.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am on the customer experience team so we don't really solve problems, we are answering questions for patients or taking payments.

  ### 16. AthenaHealth

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I really like how user friendly and relatively simple it is. Athena allows multiple schedules for multiple doctors and locations. It also is easy to scan, upload and organize documents. Athena allows for multiple users at a time and multiple screens making it easy to multitask as we much often need to do. I love that each patient can be assigned a photo that appears in check in that allows easy identification reassurance when dealing with large volumes of patients. I also like how I am able to use the athena capture app to upload patient insurance and insurance cards.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

I hate athenafax. I never know if it works and faxes get lost all the time. It has seemed to get a little better the last few weeks but faxes are important in our business still! I also dislike how many useless clicks are needed to check a patient in. When we are busy it is important to get patients checked in as quickly as possible. Doctors in clinical should also be able to check in a patient. In the off chance someone gets missed in the check in process. Its annoying to not only the doctor but the reception workers.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

I would recommend athena for small practices or single practices. While Athena has the ability to organize multiple schedules and multiple doctors, its not the easiest to read when on the home page. Athena is the one stop for everything from patients charts to billing information and encounter documents. It's easy to use and simple for anyone to use.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Athena helps organize patient information, keep doctors schedules and send and receive faxes. Athena is also able to assist in processing bills and insurance.

  ### 17. I am a scribe who uses athena health for chart documentation.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

It will auto populate the medication on most new patients, which is very helpful. Athena health has also collaborated w/VA PMP, which makes looking up scheduled medications for patients more accessible and easier than before.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

the templates for pediatric patients do not have relevant information for the physical exam section.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration w/VA PMP

  ### 18. Athena makes charting easy and convenient

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I like the accessibility Athena offers between providers and referring offices, as well as the ability to easily import information into patient charts.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Athena can sometimes be frustrating when it requires certain things to be checked prior to being submitted

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Athena has allowed us to integrate intake, charting, payments and scheduling seamlessly.

  ### 19. Collector

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Sometimes the lag time to correct glitches or issues that you come across.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Check out their Boston facility.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

This is a great product and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

There is nothing that I dislike about this product.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Athena does a great job carrying health information over from other athenahealth users

  ### 21. Athena health

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Athena health is easy to use and aesthetically pleasing

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

The platform is limited compared to others that I have used for patient management. Reporting and messaging features aren’t as robust as other systems and there is not any option to schedule appointments for patients via the portal.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easier tracking of patient records across other offices both in the same group and out. Electronic storage if medical files has been a huge benefit that has saved money on everything from office space to paper ink and even additional employees to file.

  ### 22. Athena Health

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Athena is used at many physician offices. Works great for scheduling patient appointments and checking them in. Also used for billing the patient and collecting copays. The website is user friendly and makes it easy for office staff, nurses and doctors to use.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Athena is a very good application and the only issues I ever experience is with the devices ran through Athena. Sometimes has issues connecting to card readers and document scanners. Requires updates for the Athena device manager otherwise the devices won’t connect. Has to be done for thousands of users.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Athena is great because you have the convience of registering/checking in patients, billing and medical information all in one place.

  ### 23. Easy to use app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jatan E. | Receptionist/ Bus aide, Education Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I like how it is user friendly so just about anyone can use it and it has help section in case you run into a problem.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

I dislike the fact that everytime I use it, it takes forever to load and sometimes kicks me out and I have to restart it.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving a lot of business problems with this app because it lets the employees take control and saves paperwork and time.

  ### 24. Lots of glutvhes no service

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barbara M. | Medical Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Nothing really yet lots of problems still. No assistance

Lake of customer help too many glitches

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Don't recommend

All records have not been migrated over form same system very poor set up

  ### 25. Easy to Navigate Electronic Health Record System

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madeleine M. | Medical Assistant , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

System is frequently down or offline, system is not customizable

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Great application for healthcare that is constantly

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

athenaCollector helps us by storing patient information and allowing us to access it and document encounters with patients as well as communicate with patients

  ### 26. Very easy interface to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I like how organized it is, and how it is easy to use for beginners. I do like how you can reload frames, independent of other frames being reloaded.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

I dislike how you have to manually reload the frames, and how if there are multiple users on the same page, one version has to be saved over the other.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Communicate with others when you are working on updating information for the same patient, so that you don't run into problems with having multiple users have multiple versions

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing electronic health records, noting patient visits, ordering cultures, keeping visit notes organized, easily being able to refer back to previous visit notes as well as notes from other providers.

  ### 27. EHR

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

As healthcare rooming staff, i like how easy Athena makes it for making sure we collect all the data required. It is easy going from category to category by clicking the "next" button. It doesn't get much easier than that!

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

While rooming geriatric patients who have a long list of medications- Athena makes it very difficult to verify all medications. My coworkers and myself wish that there was a "check-box" option so we could click if they are taking it or not. (Much like other EHR do)

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it as our Electronic Health Record

  ### 28. Excellent EHR software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Athena is a great EHR, they really try to have the most efficient and effective software. It streamlines all your work while giving the most resources and best outcome

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Since there is so much functionality it can be tricky to find out how to do something. But the Athena team is there to help

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

It’s great. Hard to beat

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great for the medical business. Unlike other EHR software that makes you manually do every little thing, Athena autopopulates everything for you and basically just makes your work easier.

  ### 29. User Friendly

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Athena is very user friendly, and super efficient in a fast paced environment! It works particularly well for laboratory personnel with and reference lab.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

I honestly think Athena is the most efficient for a busy office staff, and safely secures patient information.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A.

  ### 30. Great for big hospitals!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I like this software because it makes the technology aspect of an EHR much easier to use. It is pretty efficient!

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

It is very costly, but pays off in the long run. The charts are pretty long and there's a lot of scrolling involve, which wastes time.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

 Technology advancement in healthcare.

  ### 31. Care Navigator

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

It is very convenient to use when booking appointments

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

It is difficult to use at first. It takes a lot of practice. Some of the insurance types won’t show up and requesting a package is difficult.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used this to make appointments for patients and we can usually get them in quicker than calling the doctors office

standardizing templates of notes

  ### 33. Athena management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I enjoy the ease of coordinating that Athena allows.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Unsure if this is a privacy setting but having to reset password often:

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patient chart review and ehr needs

  ### 34. Easy to manuever

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Athena makes healthcare easier to manage when it comes to charts, referrals and anything else that helps the doctors with their treatments.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Sometimes the software freezes or has small glitches but you have to just restart the computer and it’s fine.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Athena to scan patients identification, send referrals and access their charts electronically..

  ### 35. Athena needs revisions

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Digitized files are always nice, however not at the expense of work flow l, or efficiency

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Takes too long to access or make notes. IT issues cause lockup’s and issues that need to be resolved more quickly. Admin privileges need extra features

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EMR medical records etc, notes, RX

  ### 36. User friendly

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea S. | Medical Scribe/ Clinical Information Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

It is very user friendly for an office setting.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Much difficulty in using with Internet Explorer; much difficulty in going into a chart when another user is there, specifically for scribes and providers.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an electronic health record that helps the provider see the patients in a quick and orderly manner.

  ### 37. Affordable Health

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2019

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Best for affordable healthcare, limited on premiums

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

More premiums should be added and more options

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

N/A

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of search and find and budget

  ### 38. AthenaHealth makes it easy to communicate with patients

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grant G. | Medical Student Section Delegate, House of Delegates Coordination Committee Member, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I like that patients are able to sign up for access to their portal where they are able to see summaries and reminders of what happened in their encounters in case they have forgotten, and are able to contact physicians with quick questions

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

I have yet to have any negatives with this system.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease of communication with patients outside of the clinic

  ### 39. Works great for Doctor offices but not for an ASC

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dale B. | Administrator, Nivano Ambulatory Surgery Center, Medical Practice, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2017

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

My Surgery Center is affilated with a medical group. It is great that we can get the scheduling info, patient demographic info and clinical info directly from the Athena system. This insures accuracy and availabilty of inromation.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Athena is not user friendly for Surgery Centers. They sold me on the system with the promise that 2017 would be the "year of the surgery centers" with enhancements and focus groups for users to help improve the produce. This never happened.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Great for doctors offices, I would be cautious about recommending it for a Surgery Center unless it was a single specialty center connected to a single physician.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They system makes it very easy to verify insurances. We get the schedule, demographics and clinical data directly from our doctors offices and saves faxing and dealing with inaccurate data.

  ### 40. A lot of clicking

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

a lot of options, I liked having everything available in one program

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Too many clicks. A lot of the information that is “needed” is redundant. I clicked over 40 times to register a patient. That’s way too many in a busy office setting

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Do your research beforehand.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Holding all billing for the first 30 days. Creates a major headache later

  ### 41. Athena Super User

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I do enjoy all the accelerator options including macros, order sets, and encounter plans.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

The accelerators take a while to set up. I wish I could make an encounter plan from the patients chart.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Give it a try. As long as you are willing to do the initial time investment there certainly are possibilities for financial and time savings.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This helps us take less time documenting and leaves us more time to care for our patients. I enjoy the Athena capture as it allows us to take pictures of wounds for all providers to gauge improvements.

  ### 42. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

It had just about everything we needed as far as workflow on it.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

A lot of the information was redundant and unnecessary

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allowed an efficient patient check in.

  ### 43. Medical records clerk

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Individual & Family Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

The ease for people of all ages to be able to use and better access this program.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

There were a lot of buttons to push to be able to get to where you needed to be, despite the ease of use. It can cause some confusion leading up.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Don't allow the things that seem difficult with it to hold you back from being able to better utilize everything the program has to offer.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've noticed the ability to better keep track of the various things we needed to keep track of.

  ### 44. Athena Revoew

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Very user friendly and chronologically appropriate for the patient care experience. Easy to navigate and jump back and forth between EMR sections.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Our organization has had frequent issues with Athena crashing, which has been frustrating especially during patient care. It can lag pretty frequently as well which makes it difficult for productivity.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better patient care experience and faster visits for the patient due to easier navigation through the EMR

  ### 45. Involved EMR

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

The many avenues and options to make custom for one's medical practice.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Can become too complexed at times, reports galore. This might be okay for others but not for us. We are a small private practice where it appears Athena is more geared towards larger groups and or hospitals.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Preview the software before signing, this was a request we had to make and wait for management to approve. You must test the system out before you can really feel comfortable in your decision.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are no longer in subscription with Athena. We did obtain more billing and coding knowledge from Athena's billing software.

  ### 46. AthenaHealth efficiency

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

The emr has anticipatory prompts while using making charting easier.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

No fee schedule entered in the system.
Must be somewhat familiar with medical billing and if not it will be difficult to submit claims properly. They sell that you need less office staff with their system but that is a strong claim that I feel is not true.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Must be familiar with medical billing to use. Otherwise trial and error

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saves some time. Built in forms for patient education.

  ### 47. Good EHR for PT

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2017

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Easy to use and navigate from checking in patients to documenting visits and everything in between.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Doesn’t have an app for use on a mobile device.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our whole company uses Athena so it is easy to see patient records no matter the office you are at. It is also somewhat easy to communicate with physicians of patients when needed, which is beneficial.

  ### 48. Athena review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

I like the layout. It is very easy to navigate and understand.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

I wish there were more functions to personalize this program

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving scheduling issues. I notice that there is a patient portal section where people can make their own appointments

  ### 49. Mixed Review...

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Safety | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

System has preloaded templates that make things a little less complicated and faster. Claims are processed automatically which helps turn around time as well.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

Some of the automated claims processing features don't seem to always apply things to the appropriate DOS, which leads to even more confusion.

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Patients are automatically marked as inactive if they are in collections, which they cannot be seen until arrangements are made. This cuts down on more loss of revenue.

  ### 50. Many features, but difficult to navigate without training

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2018

**What do you like best about athenaOne?**

Everything on one page, very clean and organized, fax dashboard connects the entire office and improves networking.

**What do you dislike about athenaOne?**

There are so many features, it can be difficult to navigate tiny nuances within certain features i.e incoming faxes can be difficult to sort and label.

**Recommendations to others considering athenaOne:**

Request training

**What problems is athenaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Athena has streamlined our entire office from dictation to pathology to billing and patient contact. I cannot submit a scrrenshot per HIPPA.
